Uzi had slipped from bed earlier than usually that morning, padded silently through the house waking non of it's other occupants in her effort to get outside without notice. The alter sought something today but it was not a traditional hunt, those were forbidden by Eli at the moment as most animals were mating and birthing and to kill them in such condition was considered wrong. No it was for a more personal reason Uzi once again found herself setting out towards Farstep to solve an issue she was having. Though this time she intended not to seek out a crafter but a fellow Essentic.

Uzi had great respect for Ziazan even if the older alter was smaller and undeniably weaker than she. He was smarter and he seemed less troubled about having deep thoughts as if he mind held them easier than her own could. Given her current troubling situation was one filled with deep thoughts it was Zia that Uzi felt was best to confide in.

Golden eyes narrowed as the huntress approached the carnival grounds, her gaze sought the familiar stature and colours of the other essentic while her body felt for his unique energy signature. Uzi could only hope Ziazan was awake and willing to help.

It was as Uzi gazed up a again she spotted a small silhouette that became Zia's form as she focused her eyesight more intense on it. A genuine smile blossomed on the alters face and she made her way swiftly up the hill and towards one of the few people she called friend. "Morning Ziazan" She called softly when she was close enough that she need not yell. Uzi's colours were that of the rising sun all yellows and oranges and warm peach that displayed her currently attitude. She might be here to have a question answered but she was not focused that her body registered it as a single minded goal and thus the need for her camouflaged form.

Uzi's tail swayed behind her as continued to smile " I wished to speak with you, you're good at understanding me." Perhaps not so good as Eli or Fran but they were not like her and she would not burden them with her concerns.

Uzi climbed up onto the rail beside her friend adopting the similar perching position that she used on her own home porch's railing. It amused her that they shared this little thing. " Ahh," her ears flicked "I have been thinking about the future again." She had been for a while now in various forms on various topics. The essentic's golden eyes darkened as she became serious " I would like to talk to you about being remembered."

"Mmm what is lasting in this world?" Uzi murmured would not even her name carved deep into the desert rocks be wiped away eventually by sand and wind and time itself and who would care to go and see if even if it was there. Uzi's circle of friends and associates was small though it continued to grow. She stared up at the sky as she continued to think on Zia's words. Doing something astounding was a pleasant though but would draw attention to her and that was not something she could let happen.

" You are lucky a family was made for you." Uzi murmured. She had Eli's parents and him and Fran and Kell. They weren't family but they were something similar, close and bound by intangible things. They were all mortal though , expect perhaps Fran, and would one day cease to exist as well leaving nothing behind by distant relatives who lived far away.

Crux, Uzi had heard the name before but did not have a face to put to it. She was curious though about this mystery essentic that Zia wished to make a family with, clearly they were someone of great interest. A topic to be discussed more another time perhaps. Her attention had more been attracted to the fact that Zia had implied essentics could make families.

"I don't understand" Uzi's lowered her ears a little " and I am not sure who would help me." Lauss maybe, he was one that could be counted on for things.

Uzi froze for a moment at Zia's offer, the words were highly unexpected. They were friends yes and Uzi regarded Zia highly, felt safe enough to let her guard down around it but she had still not expected that. This was a big thing, this was.. making Zia part of her legacy. Her hesitation had nothing to do with how suitable she thought Zia might be and more to do with that thing where her insides twisted at the thought of being that connected with anyone. However breeding between essentics worked it seemed to require an admission in some form of feelings if not necessarily romantic ones. Uzi struggled still to come to terms with feelings becuase even when they were instinctual they were difficult.

Slowly her tail twitched as the alter stared at Zia, was this right? Zia was to her, wise, trustworthy, reliable and her understood family where to her it was still something intangible. She did not desire them but.., a small smile tugged at her lips, she held Zia within her inner circle, someone she would risk a great deal for and fight to defend if such a time came. There were secrets the huntress kept from them but they were for the other's own safety and Uzi was nearly completely confident the older essentic would not have hated her for revealing them anyways.

Uzi shivered less from the cold then the realization that she could if she willed it fully think through her feelings towards the other, weather this was good or not Uzi didn't know. There was something there that much she knew but she had no words for it. None of this told her if this was the right choice though a small part of her reminded Uzi that the only other essentic she trusted to any degree was Lauss and he.. was not right, that she could feel now without reservation. Golden eyes closed slowly as Uzi went back into thought.

She wanted , no needed this but was it right or should she wait? Every day the uncertain future was closer and Uzi was starting to feel rattled. From her talk months ago with Lauss about what would happen when Eli died, to the idea of Francis someday being strong enough to leave, to the simple fact that she was known to so few had begun to unnerve her. Having a soul and accomplishing it's needs seemed worthless if no one would ever exist to remember what she had done or care that it had happened. Was it right to ask this of Zia though even when the other had offered?

" I." Uzi sucked in a calming breath as she tried to keep her voice steady " I would like your help, but" she paused body tensing again " I would like to know first if it is the right thing to do." Surely Zia could see that much, could know if this was supposed to be or just something that would happen.
