The young leopard slunk through the taller grasses silently. Her eyes were trained in on her prey - a fat rabbit. That meal could keep her satisfied for a couple of days, if she had no choice of hunting that is.
Mihika's tail shot out for balance as she jumped her prey and tore into the neck. An instant death. The leopard purred as she began to dig into her evening meal. Yum. Satisfied she backed away from the carcass and began to lick the blood from her fur.

Tiegan bounced through the grass and sang a little diddly, only pausing when she tripped over a pot hole. Her little body was barely visible through the foliage, which was just fine with her since she wasn't looking to meet anyone. In fact, she was avoiding people. Sometimes having a big family was such a pain! They were always there, even when you didn't want them to be and a girl needs her space.
The cheeton's ears pricked up, her eyes curling up to listen. "Sounds like...snip snapping. Tiegan thinks it's momma, with supper!" She laughed excitedly and ran towards the sound. Her mother always left out early in the day, sometimes not coming back 'til really late. Maybe she'd finally see what she was up to!
"Mommy! Mommy, Tiegan's coming!" She popped out of the foliage like the little brown swamp rat that she was and her eyes instantly widened, ears flipping back with fear. That was not her mom.

Mihika's pleased purr was a quiet tune as she finished licking her paws clean. In a second that purr was disrupted by a yowl of surprise. The leopard's startled gaze settled on something brown -err someone- that had called her mommy?
Though Mihika's mouth curled into a small grin, from the expression on the younger cat she figured that the whole mommy thing was a mistake. " 'ello there." The leopard purred softly while trying her best to look harmless. She remembered having such expressions before after all.
"Sorry to disappoint ya." Mihika's grin spread, "I don' think I'm anyone's mommy afta all." Little one because really she couldn't tell what the cub really was.

"Oh." Tiegan's head popped curiously forward as she tip-toed to the larger cat. She looked to be the same as her older siblings, but alot fatter, with bigger paws and a thumpier tail. The nosy cub openly looked the over before coming to a halt infront of her, the tip of her tail curling up in a little question mark.
"It's alright." She chirped. "Tiegan's sorry, it was her boo boo. Won't happen again, it won't!" The cheeton's eyes roved over Mihika again and she was practically buzzing with energy. "So...What are you? Are you a goddess? Tiegan's heard about those before, and she thinks that they would look kinda diff'n't, and you look diff'n't, so are you? Huh?"

Mihika had heard of curiosity, but with this cub - jeez! She was torn between teasing, laughing, or being slightly over whelmed at the sudden talk. "Ah, good then Tiegan?" Was that some weird way of saying I? Probably just her name, Mihika thought.
"Pfft!" Laughter came from Mihika and the leopard rolled over, her body vibrating from the resounding chuckles. "Me a goddess? Very different indeed!" Mihika stood and looked over at her shoulders, "No wings - so nope. I guess I'm no goddess afta all."
The leopard's tail swept neatly infront of her and rested over her front paws, "I'm Mihika - no goddess jus' a leopard. You?"

Tiegan pounced on the leopardess' exposed stomach and wriggled her tail excitedly. When she stood, the little cheeton merely rolled off with a laugh and bounced back up onto her paws to circle the bigger cat.
"Not all goddess' have wings, nope, they sure don't. I knows it." She tapped her temple with a paw. "Dwaaa, then your not one then, huh?"
To say she was disappointed was an understatement. She visibly slumped, padding slowly around to Mihika's front before flopping down. What a bummer! "Tiegan's a cheeton. Daddy's a cheetur and mamma's a lion."

""Eep!" Mihika's eyes widened in shock as she reminded her defensive body that this wasn't an attacker but a cub. She looked over to Tiegan with a faint frown that quickly turned up into an amused grin. What a happy little tike this one was.
"Or do they hide them?" Teased the leopard lightly. Not like she would really know, that is since she never had truly met one - they may even have extra eyes for all she knew!
"Sorry ta disappoint ya kiddo." Replied Mihika softly though it was obvious that her amusement was growing by the cub's energy. "Can't me bein' a leopard be special enough?"
The next statement made Mihika's eyes snap open as she peered at the...cheeton? lying in front of her. "What? No way!" A cheetah and a lion? The thought was just...woah! It just wasn't possible, right?

It was disappointing, but Tiegan got over it quickly. She rolled around onto her back, splaying her legs out on either side of her while she looked up at the older female. "Yes way! Tiegan can show you her momma and papa if you want. 'Cept papa maybe isn't thhhheeeerrrrreeeee." She giggled and swatted Mihika's chin.
"I 'dot bigger brovers and sisturs that are cheeturs, 'dough. Like papa."

Mihika grinned at the cub. She was so cute! The leopard laughed silently - maybe she was a potential cub napper for this one. Nah, not when the kid had such a good sounding family.
Talking of family...Mihika shook her head. "No-No! That's fine. I trust ya. It's just sooo weird ta me." She frowned at the sound of the older siblings. Her papa must have had a 'moment' with one of his own kind then instead of with Teigan's momma. What a family. "Wow. You must be quite busy with many siblings then."

"Tiegan's not weird." She scrunched up her nose. "....Maybe a little, but Tiegan's family is even weirder. We're always busy, never alone." It made her happy thinking about them. Even if they annoyed her from time to time, even if no one understood her visions, so loved them.
Speaking of family, she heard her name being called and called out, "Coming!" Then she turned back to Mihika and hugged the leopardesses neck. "Don't go away, kay? We'll play tomorrow. Bye!" Her little tail flipped up around her back as she took off through the foliage, bouncing with every step.

"Sounds nice." Mihika laughed as she saw the energy of the cub. She feared for the parents if all of their cubs were so energetic! How they kept up with it all she would never know.
The hug and goodbye made the leopard sober up. "Bye!" Mihika sighed sadly. Bye Teigan. Sorry, but I probably won't ever be here again to play. Head hung low Mihika turned and started wandering away, like always. This time though with new thoughts and another parting's sorrow.
