The lioness had barely slept since they'd arrived, the need to protect them, to redeem herself as a mother becoming more than enough to fight away the sleep urges. Besides she'd done enough for that recently, recovering with Xnah this past however long, now she had a purpose, they both had a responsibility and that was just dandy with Liqui.
And so it came to pass that she spend a large chunk of her time with her form curled around the smoothies and an enlarging belly as their physical forms developed within her. Neither one of them had understood why she had been the one to fall pregnant and not Xnah, but nevertheless she had no fault in any of it, everything about the smoothies, her and Xnah... it just felt right.
When it came time and the birth seemed to come and go in the blink of an eye the souls within the smoothie where quick to envelop the two girls, leaving them shivering cold and wet on the grass between their two mothers. The sun beaming down bright on the scene as if this blessing had been indeed sent from the Angels above and as Liqui finished cleaning the last off their second daughter she let out a sign of relief.
"There beautiful Xnah..." she smiled, the birth had been so much easier this time, pregnancy had felt like an empowering experience not torture.

Xnah had spent this whole time at Liqui's side whenever she could. However, since she wasn't the one carrying the two cubs she had been the one to catch food and make sure that Liqui was as comfortable, warm and well fed as she needed to be. Xnah had decided that was her job, to be the best supporter and caretaker that she could be, she would provide as Liqui was probably better suited at giving the cubs the love and attention that Xnah couldn't give... perhaps that was what was missing with her eldest two.
Xnah was now curled up against Liqui as she had been for the better part of the whole event. When the birthing process had begun she had begunt o pace and become a frantic wreck, but the ordeal had settled now and seeing the two beautiful cubs in front of her her heart had slowly warmed and calmed. "They are.." She gave a brief smile, instantly nuzzling Liqui against the cheek. "...Our daughters..." Leaning down, Xnah took the green cub in her mouth and set her down between her paws, giving the girl her own form of a bath. Not to say Liqui had missed anything, but so that her own bonding could happen with the small girl. "They look so much like you... Beautiful in every way."

"They are... aren't that?" Liqui smiled, a content smile that showed how comfortable she was within the situation and moment. Sure this wasn't the first time she'd cleaned newborns, but whereas before she'd felt the need to be something for him this time it was about them, as a family and not just impressing her so called knight in shining armor.
Turning to Xnah she caught a glimpse of the sun shining off her fur, making her glow in a beautiful way, for just that second the thought crossed her mind. Throughout her entire life, Xnah had always been there, and it totally made sense that looking at her now she looked like a protector, a knight, an angel almost. With that she leaned over and returned the nuzzle as Xnah began to clean one of the cubs, with a brooding smile she nuzzled the cub that remained between her own paws in the rear. To encourage its movement in the big and new world around them, she could only wish she remembered her own birth from her mother, but alas it was something no-one could apparently remember.
Letting a blush come to her cheeks Liqui nuzzled Xnah once more then turned her attention back to the two girls. "Like us... together." Her smile never waned and as she looked at the two with proud she looked them over each in turn. "How can we name such beautiful creatures?" she blinked, she rolled a few names over in her head but couldn't be sure till they where born and here they where, no name seemed fitting enough for the two.

"Names will come." Xnah assured her, though with a hint of a smirk she added, "Though, if they have enough of my blood and we take too long they mind end up insisting that they name themselves!" Chuckling, she nosed the green cub before turning to lean her head up against Liqui. She heard the purplish cub mew at Liqui, trying to resist the push to move as she fell on her face.
Laughing, "Maybe not." Xnah lifted her paw to push the purplish cub toward them. She mewed again, pathetically Xnah might add, trying to paw at Xnah in revolt but utterly failed as a sneeze left her nose. "But who knows, they might surprise us and become very strong girls in the next few weeks." Smiling, she let her nose touch both of the girls', licking their heads before returning to Liqui. "They make me happy... You make me so very happy. The gods have certainly blessed us..."

Liqui chuckled along with Xnah at her statement, obviously hinting towards her past, she thought she should let it lie, but she wanted to know everything about Xnah, all the small silly little things. "Did you name yourself?" She tilted her head slightly as she watching the green-ish cub wiggle about completely failing to climb out of Xnah's protection and over her paw. It's little nose in the air almost looking as if it was searching for... something...
Milk! Shaking her head Liqui sighed, she had barely remembered that part last time, she'd been so exhausted after the birth than the cubs had had to make there own way to their first meal. Not this time she thought to herself, shifting positions she lay her head on Xnah's side and exposed her middle as a buffet to the two. Whilst this was achieved and the little green cubs muzzle had turned directly at the open invitation, though it still struggled to even make it over Xnah's arm, Liqui found herself relaxing and snuggling into Xnah.
"Who knows? I sure don't.. I do know I'll love them regardless, they can be anything they want to be they'll still make me proud." Rubbing her cheek against Xnah's side, the lioness smiled and took a few moments to relax.
