Today the tavern was going to be closed all day. It was a day off not only for the staff but for herself as well to go get something done that she had been putting off for a while, the whole thing from a bit a go not withstanding. She had been hypnotized to go to the shop and well stuff happened but that wasn't why she wanted to go to the shop, not really. Luis wanted to bring Faris to see Switch and to have a look around the place of her origin without weird(er) things going on while she was there.

Luis didn't have a beef with Switch. If anything she was thankful, happy to have Faris in her life. It was one of the few things she could confidently say that went right since her husband had passed on.

She held onto her daughter's hand and squeezed it lightly and felt Faris squeeze it back in response and then grin up at her which made Luis smile back down at her. The Satyress had meant to get her daughter here when she was younger, but children grew fast and, again, things had happened.

"We theres yetyetyet?" Faris asked.

"Almost," she said as she walked with her daughter for a moment longer before they reached the door and pulled it open to be met with quite a mess.

"Woooooooow," this was way messier than even Faris remembered it!

Switch was at her wits end. Already. Kay had only just grown and he was already driving her nuts. The Ospice family was moving in upstairs and that meant there was a lot of things to move from the second floor to the storage room in the basement. Basically, Kay's growth made him want to 'help' more, by lifting more at the same time. Once he slid down the stairs holding three boxes, another time he dropped a massive stack of tomes on his foot...it seemed like every time she turned around he was doing something reckless, despite her warnings.

"Xbalanque. Put. That. Down." Switch was saying angrilly to the boy that was holding so many stacked boxes he couldn't even see. While she couldn't see it, she could just tell that the young man was grinning.

"S'okay, I can do it!" He insisted, 'oofing' in a winded manner when he partially walked into a wall with the boxes. "Haaaaaaah Maybe I'll take one---Hi!" The dark skinned lad, decked in tattoos and dark scars and wearing nothing but capri pants, stopped and looked over his shoulder when he saw the pair walk into the store. He couldn't see Switch, but he could see them!

"Welcome to Balcombe!" Kay said happily, hoping that this was enough to distract Switch from giving him hell like she no doubt wanted to. The woman in question peered around a stack of boxes on the floor to see who it was.

"Oh, Luis! Hello, how are you?"

Luis smiled a bit at the young man as she held her daughter's hand and nodded, "Aye, 'allo," she said in a friendly tone and soon with she caught sight of Switch and lifted a free hand to wave at her as well, "'Allo there, Switch. I see you're ... makin' a bigger mess," she laughed a bit and gazed down at her daughter who was staring at Kay for a long moment.

Faris canted her head side to side as she stared at Kay as if trying to decide what exactly to make of him before her green eyes flicked back to the Switch-woman who had greeted her mother. She let go of her mother's hand and trotted closer to the blue haired woman and stared at her now and then wiggled her fingertips for Switch to bend a bit closer to her level.

It wasn't certain what the Gargoyle had in mind but it certainly wasn't anything malicious! Faris was grinning ear-to-ear.

"Faris y'better not be up to any mischief," Luis warned.

"Yeeeeah..." Switch sighed at Luis' powers of observation, rubbing a hand through her short hair. "We've got some people moving in upstairs and the previous owners were pack rats...so..." With a lazy swing she extended her arms to motion to the shop as a whole. "Bigger Mess." She finished lamely, looking momentarily down at the Gargoyle...girl...? that was standing beside Luis. She recognize the girl from a while back, though she seemed much bigger this time.

"I see your little one grew up a bit!" Switch commented with a smile, glancing at her boy...who was still holding those boxes. "That one is mine...his name is Xbalanque but everyone just calls him 'Kay'. I got him from a mask before I was forced to take over the store." This was pretty much Switch's attempt to get Kay to drop the boxes so he could wave.

Blinking down at the gargoyle girl, glancing at Luis before leaning over like she was asked. "Hi there?" She questioned, wondering what was the matter.

Luis nodded in response to Switch's response, "Aye makes sense, but t's kind of ya to prepare the way so people can live 'ere," she said simply as her arms crossed over her chest and she watched her daughter like a hawk for a moment. It wasn't that she didn't trust the girl but she was up to something and she could tell. She flicked her gaze to the boy, "Ahh, a friend of mine mentioned y'had one but I didn't 'ave the pleasure of meetin' 'im. Pleased t'meet ya lad," she said to Kay with a smile.

The Gargoyle's grin grew and she wiggled a bit as she reached up and hugged Switch and while doing so her tongue flicked out and licked the woman's cheek before she released her and let out a series of small giggles as if that was the most amusing thing she had done since ... ever! She just wanted to see if she could get away with it, that's all.

The Satyress watched this and let out a small groan, "Faris, 'onestly, lickin' folk is disgustin' quit it," Luis chided. Faris gazed back at her mother unapologetically.

Switch waved her hand with a bit of a laugh. "I try...I can't imagine what it would feel like to move into a giant mess, while bringing with you enough stuff to fill a house." Her attention was dragged back to Kay, and she shrugged a bit. "Yes...I believe he was at home when you showed up...but yes, that's my boy. One of three now, but the only one from the shop." Switch explained, before Faris caught her attention and was leaning down to the gargoyle girl.

What happened was completely unexpected. Blinking, Switch wasn't sure how to react other than to pet the girl's head with a confused laugh. "It's nice to meet you too, Faris." Was really all Switch could say on the subject.

Kay was trying to put the boxes down and eventually succeeded, tugging his capri pants back into a comfortable position. Once his hands were free he waved to the Satyress, that huge wide grin on his lips. "Heya, Nice to meetcha too!" His attention was caught by 'Faris', who was licking his Na's cheek. After a moment of staring, the young man let out a laugh.

"Naaaaah it's fine, she doesn't gotta sharp tongue like Tek, s'all good!" Kay laughed out, already liking this girl. He pointed at all the dark scars and bites on his shoulders and neck. "See? She doesn't leave these! Right, uh...Faris?" His grin turned to the girl made of stone, hoping he'd heard right.

"Tek is one of my other sons, the youngest...he's got a sharp tongue and fangs." Switch explained to Luis, holding up her hand as an example; it had a few cuts in the process of healing, but nothing like what Kay had. Tek seemed to spare her. "And Kay, don't encourage her."

The young Shaman only grinned at his Mother.

"Three, eh? Sounds like you 'ave your 'ands full, Switch." Luis chuckled and watched her daughter for a moment and shook her head. "That one may as well be a little boy the way she acts sometimes."

Faris keened happily at Switch after her mischief had been effectively followed through on and turned her attention to the older boy with a bit of a blink. Sharp tongue? You could have one of those? That would be neat! Kind of...Until the tongue hurt someone and she didn't like hurting others so there went that idea. The Gargoyle meandered over to him and stared up at him her tail twitching. Hmm. "Your face is neat," she decided casually and pointed toward where she thought she saw something within his hair, "but wuzzat?"

Encouragement? Hah! She needed none of that but it helped.

Luis laughed a bit, "She's a weird one...How've ye been, Switch?"

"I do, I really, really do." Switch sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose for a brief moment. "Luckily, my..." She trailed off for a moment, never sure how to refer to Kale. "...Mate, Kale, helps out an aweful lot, I'd be lost without him." The blue haired woman said affectionately, playing with a piece of her short hair.

"She certainly seems it..." Switch agreed with a chuckle, shaking her head. "I've been...alright. I'm still trying to figure out what happened here that one night...I'm sorry you got pulled into it." She said sincerely, hoping Luis wasn't too upset over the whole thing.

Kay stared down at the girl when she stared up at him, studying her with as much scrutiny as she studied him. He laughed at her compliment. "Your face is neat too! I like your hair." Reaching out he ruffled her hair between her funky curled horns, then lifted his red eye to pretend to look where she was pointing. Of course, he knew what it was.

"That's Nahual. He bites." He warned the girl, reaching up to poke at the irritable snake. Nahual curled out of Kay's hair with an angry hiss, knocking the boy's fingers with his snout before staring at the little gargoyle, it's bright yellow eyes seeming to narrow.

The Satyress smiled and nodded, "I know how it feels to be lost without yer belov'd," she said simply as she watched Switch with a patient expression that very few got to see. The blue haired woman was starting to endear herself to her slowly but surely and she gave a small chuckle when she agreed about Faris' boyish ways. Indeed. She wondered if that was an issue but for now brushed it aside as Switch continued to talk. Luis reached up a hand and scratched at her jaw in a thoughtful manner before she responded, "I forgive ye so long as y'give me a round 'bouts as to what 'appened. I left it seemed you had everythin' in order I came back an' it was all a mess."

She closed her eyes and let out a small cheerful sound, she didn't mind hair ruffling, in fact it felt kinda nice! "Thanksies! I like my hairs too! Has colors all over the places!" Faris chimed happily and then stared at Nahual for a long moment her hands went to her hips as she tilted her head and quite simply she stated, "Oh hush, I's not scareds of you! Bet y'can be nice of you wants ta."

Other than that the small stone-skinned girl made no move to touch or do anything with the snake that lived in the boy's hair.

Switch could only shrug in regards to what had happened in the shop. "Your guess is as good as mine..." Sighing, she gestured towards a chair sitting near her desk as though motioning for the Satyress to sit down if she so desired. The Blue haired woman took a seat on the opposite side of said desk, tenting her fingers together. Something about what the Satyress said sparked interest in her, her green eye widening a bit. "Wait...I had everything under control? What are you talking about? When I got there, it was just the children and those blob things, and it was Chaos...there weren't any Guardians there until after!" There was a slight pause. "What happened when you were there?" She asked, completely unaware and very curious as to why Luis thought she had everything under control.

Kay grinned in response to the noise she made, ruffling her hair once more before she stepped back to sass at Nahual. Laughing, he shook his head and mimicked her, stepping back to put his hands on his hips, tilting his head a bit like she had. "I don't think he knows HOW to be nice." He informed her, dropping his mimicking act for the time being. Nahual, of course, stared at her, hissing in disinterest before curling back up in his hosts' hair. Then, something donned on Kay.

"Hey! You have wings!" Closing the distance between them, he reached out and lightly touched the claws of her wings, then held them to gently lift the wings up and down, pretending to flap lamely. "Can you fly? That would be AWESOME!"

She moved to sit down as she believed her daughter to be in good hands and thoroughly entertained at the moment and so she felt she was able to relax and just converse with switch. The Satyress stared at the woman for a long moment as her face had fallen soon followed by a look of disbelief, "You...You were there Switch, don't ye remember? When we came you were 'ere beggin' us to 'elp the shop..." Either this woman was crazy, had selective memory, or something much more disturbing had occurred that Luis didn't quite catch on to which irked the red haired Satyress since she prided herself on her power of observation.

"I betses he can! I betses he can be nice for a whoooooooooooole day if he tried!" She replied cheerfully pleased that the snake was pretty much not hissing at her in that weird mean way that it was earlier but then again she didn't have any illusion that the creature would ever be friendly with her but that didn't matter cause soon she had the boy closer to her than earlier and blinked and held back a small giggle! That tickled. A lot. She clasped her hands over her mouth trying to contain herself, "I..hehehe..I 'unnos! I'm heavies like th'..haha..big rockses in mountains!"

Switch stared at Luis in absolute confusion. What was she talking about?! "...No...I was under house arrest until the end! There was a robed figure who told me I wasn't doing a good job, then disappeared!" She explained, a little breathlessly. It was all too weird! How could she be in two places at once?! "I managed to get out with the help of that gray...blob...thing...and got to the shop just before the figure vanished!" Which pretty much lef the shop in absolute chaos. "Then the Guardians came back, then...that was it." The blue haired woman looked disturbed at his news, her lips pressing into a thin line.

"I bet you're wrong!" Kay shot back with a big grin, waggling his finger in a tsking manner. "I bet he wouldn't even listen to you!" Only because he didn't listen to him, and he was his host! The way she covered her mouth was adorable, and his grin twisted into a more mischievous one, playing with her wings a lot more now, making them flap up and down and up and down.

"Really?" Well, right up until she said she was heavy. He still held her wings, but stopped moving them to instead stare down at her curiously. "Buttcha don't look heavy!" Not like Gera, Gera actually looked heavy! Faris looked...pretty light! Letting go of her wings, Kay shamelessly put his hands on her waist and tried to pick her up like he picked up Roxy.

...Man, she really was heavy!

Luis parted her lips to argue back but then look struck by a thought and slumped her shoulder for a moment, "It couldn't be that it took yer face could it? An' pretended t'be you?" she murmured in a bit of surprise at her revelation. It was just one of those things that just suddenly hit her and further more she had left her daughter with that thing! Thankfully she seemed unharmed and just as sassy as ever but still! What if it had more ill intent? Augh. Luis fell into a bit of a stormy silence.

Faris guffawed at his second 'bet', "I~ never said he would listen t'me or not!" she pointed out, "but I still betses that he could be a good snakeface if he wanted to!" She obviously stored a lot of faith in the very ornery little figure that lived amongst Kay's tresses.

The giggling and squirming continued when he insisted on moving her wings, she tried to escape but she was too caught up in laughter to make an honest attempt. After a few moments the moving stopped and she stared up at him with wide green eyes, "But I y'ams!" she insisted quite stubbornly and didn't struggle when he put his hands on her hips and tried to lift her up only to manage maybe an inch or two at best. She gave a laughed and teased, "Kay is a weakbutt~," in a rather smug tone.

"...Maybe" Switch sighed in defeat, having no other explanation as to why she was there without actually being there. One arm folded across her stomach and the other rubbed at her own face...this was no good, poor Luis. "If it makes you feel any better...I don't think it had ill will in it. If it was me, I probably...wouldn't...have made everyone go to the shop. Maybe it thought it was for the best?" A slight pause, and Switch dropped her arms to her sides, lifting her gaze to meet Luis'. "And, I'm very sorry." Even though it had nothing to do with her.

"Oh. Well. I still bet you're wrong!" Even if he had messed up, he was still pretty stubborn! While he played with her wings, he enjoyed her reaction a little bit too much; her giggles were just too cute! Kay tried several times to hoist her off the ground, but in the end mostly failed. He gave up with a heavy sigh, letting her go and crossing his arms across his chest to rub at his upper arms.

"Am not!" He retorted stubbornly, puffing out his cheeks a little bit. "Yer just waaaay too heavy. How're you so heavy? You're so small!" As if to prove his point, he leaned down to hug her, his arms all to easily wrapping around her.

She looked up at Switch and softened her expression a bit and sighed while she nodded. The Satyress wasn't mad at Switch as much as she was at herself for not insisting that she stick around or at least made doubly sure that nothing would happen. What if it had meant ill? What if it took their children and refused to give them back but then it was pointless thinking such thoughts since it was all said and done with now. She shifted a bit and offered a smile, "T's fine, lass, just feel deceived," she murmured softly, "not by ye but that person. If they needed us they shoulda been more straight forward...Maybe we mighta helped anyways."

"Nyaah~," she razzed Kay and stuck her tongue out to complete said razzing instead of shouting a bet back at him. That was Faris the pinnacle of maturity. She let him try as many times as he wished to try and lift her and giggled each time though not as much as she had when he toyed with her wings.

She snorted at his excuse and the puffing of the cheeks and when she was about to retort she found herself hugged. She let out a small pleased sound and hugged back willingly, "Sooooooo~? I's stone! Like my pebble friends!"
