Serandite was hunting.. near meadowview. She desired a change of pace-- a change from hunting down females who had nothing better to do than to break curfew. This time, she would have liked to land her eye on some eye-candy. Something that wasn't female because huntign down females jsut made her feel wrong.

If anyone asked, she wasn't a lesbian. Simply because she came from Crystal.. Well, it didn't need to be said.

Must be nice for meadowview to be co-ed, she reflected, almost yearningly. But all those thoughts were banished from her mind as she leaped down from the tree branch, her arrogant Crystal pride taking over. It's not like meadowview guys were useful anyways. Besides their looks, they could be horribly vulgar and quite unfit to Serah's standards as a Crystal lady.

She was dressed in her negaverse form-- lacking the bunny at the moment because it was too bothersome to carry it around. Serah was in a toying mood. Perhaps she would find an unsuspecting student to take it out on-- a dark smile curved on her lips.

Anyone who cared to look up would probably be surprised to see feet dangling off the side of the roof but thankfully that didn't seem to be the case.

The second in command was perched on a building just opposite of his new school and there was absolutely nothing to do. There wasn't any sort of distraction to make it feel less like a surveillance mission even though that's exactly what it was. At this point, homework would have been a welcome change. Though, after that stunt pulled at Barren Pines, he had so much work to do to make up that it probably wouldn't have been a bad idea to bring it with him. These days, he spent more time running around as a senshi than going to school or at least it felt like it. Though, with everything happening lately, he really didn't have a choice. Everyone had to be on alert and, alert for him, meant ready at anytime.

Taurus sighed in frustration, kicking out his feet over the edge of the building at a nearby tree branch. Meadowview was even more uninteresting to watch than he thought it would be. All the action seemed to happen when he wasn't around as always. At this rate, he figured he'd miss everything. It didn't help that he seemed to not know what he was looking for specifically. Besides a few youma and scattered talk of people in uniforms with weapons, he hadn't seen much of anything with his own eyes. Getting all that information second hand was making them sound like myths.

A thin branch seemed to fly at her head out of nowhere, hitting her sharply on the head. A sharp gasp and a pained sound could be heard-- distinctly female-- patting the sore spot with a wince.

Where had that come from-- oh. Don't tell her that somebody had left dangling feet on the roof like some sort of murder scene. It took a moment before Serandite realized something was attached to those moving legs-- another negaverse, perhaps? Or.. could it be a senshi? Or some other side that was unknown to her?

Soon, a pink haired girl in a odd kimono had joined the male up on the roof, her bunny doll grasped in one hand, a questioning look on her small face. Oh. Somebody located. Hm. he had stars on his uniform.

Stars equal senshi.

But the question was, did he know what she was?
PostPosted: Mon Mar 15, 2010 7:11 pm

The small sound snapped him rather quickly out of the slump he'd found himself in. The senshi rubbed his eyes before looking down at the street, blinking confusedly when he couldn't see anything but the walk way he'd been starring at for the past hour or so. Had he been dreaming that just to make this seem less boring? Maybe the girl had been a block over? Then again, he didn't remember getting hyper senses while being a senshi. At least not with hearing.

Taurus was about to accept it as a figment of his imagination when movement caught his eye. He was expecting to see a flock or birds, a flag or maybe even an unsuspecting cat. Pretty much anything else but a kimono clad girl. Needless to say, the senshi was a bit startled by her seemingly sudden appearance on the roof. In less than a moment the boy was on his feet, teetering precariously over the edge of the building. Thankfully, his balance had been improving dramatically since he'd started hanging out on roof tops and he was able to squarely put his toes back on solid ground...or roof rather. How did she even get up there and who was she? Taurus swore he hadn't seen a ladder anywhere and the only people he'd known to snoop around like this at night were senshi. She could be one of his kind. Possibly? The outfit was certainly bright and colorful enough. Senshi or not, she did seem to be the only one around besides himself and he did hear a girl after all. Maybe she had been the cause? Might as well give it a shot.

"Was that you I heard a moment ago? I swear I heard something..." He figured he could save the introductions for later. One step at a time.

"I think it was me. That's because a branch fell on me. You shouldn't carelessly kick branches Mister senshi. What if I had been a policeman out hunting for our kind?" Our. The key word. She let the implication that she was a senshi stand there, arranging her crooked pony tail to it's proper side-tail position once more.

If Nealite had gone through with the whole impersonation as a scout, Serandite saw no reason for her to fail at it. Personally, Serandite thought she probably fit into the ridiculously young age group far better than Nealite did. Not that the other wasn't young.. but not young enough, apparently. And one couldn't discount that she had the ribbon to pass off for the fuku. (Even Sailor Polaris hadn't recognized her, okay.)

"What are you out here doing? Patrolling alone? What if you get caught by a negaverser?" She tried to soften her voice, creating a gentle tone that she thought a senshi might use. It was a surprisingly easy task, concealing the instinctive hostilities she was supposed to have for the senshi. Supposed to, being the key word.

Hey, Flora and Pegasus were cool. If you asked Serandite, she didn't need to hate senshi to bring back their starseeds. One didn't have to be hostile in their behavior to get it-- There was no need for rudeness. Take the starseed nicely, kids.

"Oh. Sorry about that." He chuckled weakly, kicking at some loose piece of gravel by his feet. "I just got kind of bored and the tree was right there and everything. I didn't think I would hit anyone! I swear!" Boredom was apparently not a good thing for him. Complete disregard for the tree's feelings and destructive behavior that ended in hitting an innocent person. Taurus wasn't building a very good track record for himself.

Blue eyes watched the girl closely as she spoke. He figured it was safe to assume she was one of them. She had to be right? The only people who got concerned over him patrolling alone were the other zodiac guard and the few senshi he'd met. Though, obviously she wasn't one of the zodiacs specifically. He definitely would've remembered someone like her. "I don't always patrol alone. This was just being alert. If a negaverser found me then they're most likely the one who's on patrol." It was true though. A lot of the time, his teammates were just busy and that resulted in nights like this. He would sit there for hours and wait for an explosion off in the distance to investigate but inevitably just go home and go back to sleep when nothing happened.

Taurus really had no reason to think she was just acting. Besides, all the negaversers he'd heard of attacked first and asked questions later. She wasn't like that. Or at least she didn't seem like that. "Aren't you alone too? I'm not the only one who should be worried. What if you got caught as well? Wouldn't we both be in trouble then?"

"Well, as long as you're not kicking branches on other people, it's all good! After all, they may not quite be so forgiving." Serandite gave him a soft smile, taking the seat next to him without permission.

She would take a new tactic this time around. Obviously, directly attacking hadn't worked. Time for the "being-a-spy-like-totally-spies-show" plan.It wasn't everyday Serandite ran into a senshi who didn't question her.. side.

"Being alert huh." She commented, revealing little with that comment. She grinned at his concern, smoothing down her ruffly skirt. Did all senshi have such gentlemanly boys on their side? Sadly, the negaverse was sorely missing out. Of course, being chivalrous doesn't exactly come with the evil package often. She wished it did.

"I have a bit of experience under my belt. I think I might be able to handle some trouble my way." She assured him, a gesture of dismissal. "But it's nice for you to concern yourself with me." A calculated paused between sentences as she clapped her hands, as if a brand new idea had popped in her head.

"You said you were bored on the job right? Why not have a little conversation as we wait for something exciting to happen? Tell me, what do you know about the negaverse?" She asked with sparkling eyes. "There are some really annoying sens-- lieutenants you should look out for... Sailor...? " She asked for his name, trying to distract the conversation from her slip of the tongue. Damnit! She cursed herself silently.
PostPosted: Thu Mar 18, 2010 9:54 pm

"I promise I won't hit any other passerby with a branch...unless it's out of self-defense of course. Then I think it would be okay." He resumed his seat next to her, making sure his feet were far from the branches underneath. There was no way he could let that happen again. He certainly didn't want to hurt anyone again.

Still, his feet swung out under him even as he spoke. "Yeah. I try to be alert as much as I can. If you can't always patrol physically then you have to be able to do it mentally right? It's no use if you can't put two-and-two together every once in awhile." The boy shrugged, leaning forward to rest his elbows on his knees. "I figured you weren't new at this. It certainly didn't seem like you were considering how quickly you popped out of no where! I don't think even I could do that yet especially with this cape following me everywhere..."

A quick glance in her direction was the only response toward her slip up. Taurus may not have been the smartest tool in the shed but he'd wised up since taking on his responsibility. Even if she was a senshi, he didn't know what he was allowed to tell her. They were secretive that way. "Not sure how much I can actually tell you. Did you learn about them from your teammates?" With anyone else, it would have been the beginning of an interrogation. For Taurus, it was a genuine question. It was where he got all of his information after all. Curiously skipping over the subject of his name, he continued. "And who should I be looking out for? I haven't really heard of any that were particularly annoying. I guess I'm a bit behind theses days." He couldn't help but laugh. It wasn't everyday that he admitted his complete disregard for the enemy.

She lifted her bunny's ears while she talked, never seeming to actually stay still as she lifted up it's arms to make silly cute motions. She even had it dancing as she spoke.

"I tend to go solo. Teaming up isn't my style." She shook her head, a frown crossing her lips as she spoke of the other negaverse agents. But you still gotta be careful of them. "There are some nasty ones out there. Some are useless too." Serandite said, not quite sure how much information to divulge now that she had the conversation brought up. "A bit behind.. huh?" She echoed with a soft smile, reflecting on the days she had been behind. Oh, bittersweet days.

"Speaking of negaverse.. They're practically our age. Did you know that?" She asked, not really waiting for an answer as she continued on. "It really makes you wonder about our two sides. We're really just two sides just trying to get our goals done. Albeit, we have different methods of doing it... But I wonder why stealing a starseed is so bad? People are going to die anyways." Serandite had changed her tone to thoughtful, appearing to ponder as she spoke. At first look, she was simply a senshi who was pondering the assignment that they had been given. She sighed, turning her bunny upside down in a depressing manner and then laying it down on her lap.
PostPosted: Thu Mar 18, 2010 11:05 pm

A bunny? How had he not noticed it before. Was he really that blind to everything? He took in the sight of the stuffed animal as she spoke, watching it dance and sway with her own movements.

"Teaming up is good though. You can be more powerful and strategic. Most of the time you have to use brute force when you're alone. That can get tiring, right?" It was true. Being a defensive senshi was hard when one was completely alone. Nothing to do but run away most of the time and hope that he was faster. He doubted he could face one and win all on his own.

Though, as she continued to speak, he didn't quite know what to do with the negaverse anymore. In all his time of being a senshi, he'd never really thought about age before but to hear that they were all around the same age was terrifying. Someone his age could actually kill someone? No. There was no way someone would willing kill anyone. Of course, that had already happened to one of them and he was dead and gone because of those same people and most of them were teenagers. His blue eyes darkened at the thought, gaze drifting away from her and down towards the ground.

"We aren't here to decide when people die..." His voice slowly trailed off as if he'd lost what he was going to say. He quickly ran a hand through his hair, ruffling it even more as if trying to gain a bit of courage from the simple action. "People die when they're supposed to die. Starseeds aren't just meant to be taken. I'm sure it's more complicated than that but taking a starseed makes someone a killer and we aren't supposed to be killers. We all know that."

"But aren't we senshi supposed to kill negaverse agents?" Serandite asked innocently, her expression was one of calculated concern, as if she couldn't bear the thought of killing anyone. (She had these feelings previously so it wasn't hard to act out, surprisingly.) She stared at her hands for effect, trying to play out her words carefully. Perhaps she could spark a fear or doubt inside this boy-- something that would linger in the back of his mind. Something that would set him off during the incoming battle.

"We've gotta kill them too you know."

The statement was said quietly but it had impact. "Doesn't that make us killers? If you don't kill them, you'll leave them going off to kill more people, right? Are you okay with being a killer, Mister scout?" She asked him, tipping her head up and her bunny's eyes looking at him with a questioning tilt. Well, her bunny's eyes weren't open but let's just say it was. "Essentially, it's a die or win battle. You take their starseed so they dont come back and hurt others... Or did I get it wrong?" Uncertainly laced her tone, looking to Taurus for the answers.

Considering that no one had ever asked him these types of questions, Sailor Taurus was at a loss. He didn't want to kill people but it was necessary wasn't it? In all honesty, he doubted he could kill anyone if he tried. Even with his powers he was, for lack of a better word, defenseless. A few moments passed before he was able to unlace his fingers which had seemed to lock during his thoughts, his hands moving to grasp at the edges of his cape.

"There isn't much I can do about that," Taurus began, voice as steady as he could make it. "Negaverse agents set out to kill. Senshi do not. Some of us think that drastic measures are necessary. " His voice started to grow more hesitant as Taurus found himself deeper into this mental brain drain that she was leading him into. The spark of doubt she had wanted to make was on it's way to becoming a wildfire.

"Sometimes you have to make sacrifices in your own morality to do what's right, right? We all make mistakes but...sacrificing one person to save a lot of people is done all over the world and a lot of people actually do think that way. Half the people on death row are there not just because of the people they've already hurt but we're just afraid that they'll hurt people in the future. It doesn't necessarily make it right but it gives it more meaning, I guess. I don't know really. Killing someone just feels so...final" At this point he wouldn't have been surprised if the zodiac team all jumped onto the roof, yelling 'GOTCHA' before ruffling his hair and making fun of him for his answers. It all seemed so scripted. Was this a test? Of course, he figured the probability of that happening was pretty slim. It really was just him, a pretty girl and her bunny on a roof in the middle of the night.

"You're saying some others would take that measures to sacrifice one to save many. But would you?" She stood up at this point and stepped forward to brush a hand against the outline of Taurus's face and stepped back quickly with a devious smile, posed prettily on the edge of the roof.

"You're just like Virgo. Silly and naive. But you're really nice to the girls. It's quite a shame that you're just my type-- I wish we had more gentlemen like you on my side. Of course, I'm just stuck with the psycho killers with over sized swords and silly dragonballs. No tact, I tell you, no tact. Not on the negaverse side that is." She shook her head, dropping her bunny to the side. The bunny danced next to her.. but she wasn't touching it? How was that possible? (Serandite would say that it was magic. Which wasn't that far off surprisingly.)

"I'm really quite surprised that you didn't notice sooner. You really should have listened to your captain's warnings. If you hadn't patrolled alone, you wouldn't have run into cute negaverse agents like myself. You ready for a death match, kid?" She grinned and with a flicker of her hand, her bunny grew giant in front of the scout with open red eyes, intent on attacking the naive male.

Well, this was wonderful. Spilling his guts to the enemy was definitely not on his list of things to do that day. There had never been a formal introduction to the Negaverse. He'd never seen how they'd worked up close. In fact, he'd never even seen one up close let alone know who they were by looks alone. This was a definite first.

Taurus slowly rose to his feet almost too calmly considering the situation on his plate, hand ghosting along the trail her own hand taken along his face. "Virgo is pretty naive. I give you that. But not all of us are. She's just special." Taurus shrugged, watching the bunny closely as it danced beside her. That was definitely something he didn't see everyday. Maybe this was one of the Negaverse weapons he'd heard about. He would never admit how much it actually intimidated him as his eyes darted back to her. "I guess I'm really just a nice guy..." A cautious step off the slightly raised edge of the building was all he could retaliate with at the moment. If there was anything the senshi needed, it was room. Just how much room wasn't in his knowledge yet. Just another thing that set them apart. An experienced agent with talent and an up and coming senshi who had no real idea of what he was doing.

The odds weren't looking too good for him and yet he was Sailor Taurus after all and that meant being stubborn and steadfast. There was no way he could let her see that he was doubting himself.

"Well, what do expect from people who actually have to kill for a living? You'd probably have to be psycho to actually want to do this sort of thing. I can tell you right now that psycho isn't my type..." One more step forward and he stopped, planting his feet in place. " You were a lot cuter with the other attitude though. I just thought you should know that. Maybe you should just adopt that all the time. You'd probably attract less crazy swordsman to consort with."

If anything was cute, it certainly wasn't the bunny growing right before his eyes. Considering he himself was just under six feet, Taurus knew this was going to be a problem. His stance wavered a bit, knowing that there was no way he could hold that thing off for long by himself. If only he'd listened, he wouldn't be in this situation...or at least not alone. If only he could get off that roof without killing himself or getting killed by her in the process.

"Virgo's special all right. She's really cute. If we weren't on opposite sides, I think we'd be great friends." Serandite smiled, remembering the girl who labeled her rabbit as a "stuffie." For some reason, that line had hit Serandite as the most adorable line ever.

You'd probably have to be psycho to actually want to do this sort of thing. I can tell you right now that psycho isn't my type...

Her eyes shadowed at his comment, hand gripping a tight fist. "Naive little senshi. You don't get to decide if you 'want' to kill or not in the negaverse. Like or dislike has no say in this matter-- we do what we can to get our queen like you do what you can to get your princess." If Taurus read in between the lines, he could probably deduce that Serandite didn't enjoy killing by the distasteful look she took on.

But being the girl she was, her expressions changed in an instant as Taurus's negative comment was directed at her. Her look of distaste was soon replaced by a bright smile-- it was a shame that negaverse men couldn't understand the appeal of a cute girl like herself when a senshi obviously did. (They had better taste than those tactless negaverse guys.)

"Thanks. I'll take that advice in mind." She said sweetly before the bunny leaped ahead to take a strike at the zodiac senshi. It took a quick step, one arm extended out, as if to punch Taurus into unconsciousness.
