WELL, I play bass guitar fairly well and violin...not so well. But my choir teacher said that it'll be easier for me to play cello since I can play a fretless bass guitar. I was just wondering if that is true or not since I'm buying a cello, it'd be nice to know if that statement is somewhat accurate.

ah, can't say much on that but I play violin well and bass...not so well biggrin Mah cellist obffl (orchestra bffl 8D) can do harmonics and stuff on her cello. I think it would be a bit easier but maybe you should consult the orchestra director, instead of the chorus teacher unless, of course the chorus teacher has experience, x3

I play the cello!
no, the strings are TOTALLY different. plus you don't have frets on cello, and you use a bow, so much more technical stuff, point is, you can't play cello because you can play bass.

A bass is a bass. Strings are the same, E A D G. Both read bass clef. Normally, if you're a beast on the bass guitar, you're a beast on the stand up bass. Especially since you play a fretless bass. *Kudos, btw*
But if you're hands are rather small, and its hard to stretch them to get all the notes, or if it's harder for you to push down bigger strings, you could learn how to play the cello. The strings for that are like the viola, C G D A. As others have said, you read the bass clef for the cello too.
Why aren't you so good at the violin? Too small?
