User ImageIt hadn't been long since Branwen had left her family and she was already feeling the unpleasant twinge of loneliness. She had never been on her own, if her sisters weren't around trying to eat her, then her dearest aunt was always there to keep her company. It was just too much of an extreme to push it aside and ignore it. But she couldn't let that discourage her, this was something she had to do. Her family needed a break from the tension that she and her sisters created between them. That was why she was so far away from their willow tree and that was why she would stay away, at least for a time. Besides, she felt that she needed to take this little adventure to get out and make new friends and experience new things. Unfortunately, things didn't seem to be working out that way.

With a soft sigh she fluttered down to the ground, having found that she enjoyed the view much more from the sky, and approached the river for a drink. She never imagined that the world would feel so empty. Not yet had she someone she didn't know and her hopes for friendship were starting to fade. Was she really going to end up alone for this whole venture? The thought was disheartening and slowly hacking away at her determination to stay away from her beloved family. She certainly wouldn't stay away nearly as long as she had planned to if she ended up not encountering someone soon.

Finishing her drink from the river, she lifted her head and took in the surroundings, which looked much different from the ground than they did in the sky. Where would she find someone to talk to? Surely her family wasn't the only one around, her encounter with Caelius when she was a foal had proven that. There just seemed to be such a lack of others around that such evidence hardly seemed believable. With yet another sigh she stepped away from the river and settled down nearby for a short rest. All creatures needed water, so with any luck someone would come by.
