The Area Descriptions
Key:
-- Area for civilians and solidiers ++ Soldiers only
-- The Porch --
This area provide the only way in and out of the building, the double doors opening fully to allow easy access. They are also secure, fixed with heavy bolts and locks from the inside which will help keep unwanted visitors out.
When the doors are closed the porch is almost completely dark excpet for what little light can get in through the small window on the west wall.
The large tapestry depicts a scene from the bible of the garden if Eden and is rich in colour. It can be removed from the wall by hooks at each corner, but is reasonably heavy meaning atleast two people would be needed to heave it from its place.
-- Nave --
Here stand rows and rows of mahogany pews that shine with an almost red hue under the dim lights that hang from the ceiling. It is here that the survivors sleep, blankets thrown carelessly across wood to make them a little more comfortable. They also provide good cover in which to hide and dodge.
The gangway between the pews is just wide enough that two people can walk side by side comfortably.
This is the most light area in the church with the windows at either side and the lights centered above.
-- Choir Vestry --
Here is the area where the choir stands and home to the organ - the keys dusty from being left untouched.
The room has been turned into a small infirmary where people can have their wounds tended to. Expect only basic of health care here, bandages, plasters, pain killers.
++ Clergy Vestry ++
In the center of the room is a table and at it's longest sides are positioned four chairs with one at the head. (nine chairs in all) This room is open only for the soldiers to privately discuss their next moves when they are not on patrol.
++ Prayer Book Storage ++
This room which once housed books of religion is now used to keep ammunition and other supplies, civilians may not enter here and the room will be guarded by atleast two soldiers to make sure no weapons fall into the hands of people who might panic.
++ The Church Grounds ++
To the south lies a small graveyard with a cobbled path that leads up between the graves. This path leads from the church to one of the main roads.
However access by car and parking is found at the north - the area closer to the entrance. The car park is small and only houses about ten cars comfortably, there are three cars that have been left abandoned already. Parking is kept for the army vehicles only.
The main gate which allows entrance into the church parking lot has been twisted and bent so that it no longer closes. This is a matter that currently needs to be looked at in case their location is discovered by the undead.
No civilians are to leave unescorted and without good reason, but of course they are allowed to travel through the grounds in order to enter the safe house.
