There's a couple of "hidden" reasons they're doing this, as I can imagine.
Anyways, it'd be nice for a change. Seeing everyone panic on Runescape and start buying out items.
:3 I recommend buying the items you will be using now and make up your mind now. Otherwise, you'll see yourself gaining next to no xp at all. =]
EDIT: I'm probably going to find myself training Summoning, or Herblore. Was going to do Crafting, but I can just get SC needles if I really need to.
EDIT #2: Or probably Mining. I am already at 90, so I can no-life to 99 in a month. Although remember, it's only 10 hours of double XP, the XP will variate during that period of time.

Remember guys, it is only the basic trainning!
NO other bonus exp is counted for like Runecrafting gloves, tears, quest rewards, jade plant, and other stuff!!!!
What I am going to be doing? Hmm... Slayer. I hate it and I really want lvl 73.

Oh and guys!
Farming people.. plant your highest trees a day before!
Calquats are like 12kexp... if you check health... yeah 24k exp!

Sounds like a cool idea. I'll probably just play as normal, but if my herblore and rune stocks are depleted after several hours, that's fine too. >_>

I can see this really messing with the prices of some items which may not be that good. So much exp to be gained though.
