RP Log between Jasira (played by Pao) and Semira (played by nessiaing)

The brown lioness lay quietly beside a tree, eyes wide open but rather distant, as if she was only there in body and her mind was elsewhere completely. She couldn't really tell what time of day it was when she settled down, but the coolness of the ground underneath her was just so relaxing, she couldn't help but let her mind drift away on its own. A creature skittering past her, however, brought her back into the present.Upon realizing exactly what was going on, the lionesses blinked several times before yawning and rolling onto her stomach. "Weird.." she murmured quietly as she looked around. Not a soul in sight.

"Alone, as always." Sira moved her eyes skyward, trying to figure out exactly what time it was. It was still fairly bright out, so it must've been sometime around noon or a little bit later than. All was well, she hadn't wasted too much time. She still had a lot to learn about the pride, and since joining she only managed to acquaint herself with the new area. The only other individual she'd spoken with was a passing rogue, which didn't really help with her situation. With a sigh she lay back down and rolled onto her side. "There's always tomorrow.." she said quietly.

Semira had had an early start to the day, her cubs had made sure of that. Though now as her young ones got older she found that she spent less time actually with them, they were always off wanting to do their own thing, and she found less reason to keep them with her now that the murderer had been caught... and killed.

The black lioness shudered the murderer had been Mysmyr the father of her cubs, of course they never had a relationship really just that one night, but still she knew his blood ran in the veins of her children, this was something that was very unsettling to the dark pelted lioness.

Since finding out the Semira had kept mostly to herself feeling that perhaps the pride was unhappy with her, and her best friend had lost not only her brother but her brother's mate... she couldn't bear to face Kabu now. She moved slowly through the shadows of the tress not expecting to find anyone.

Sira had almost fallen asleep had it not been for a passing shadow. The lioness lifted her head and stared at the one who'd just passed her without saying a word. "Hello?" she called, not sure if this was a rogue or someone of the pride. She hadn't met anyone from the pride, so it wasn't surprising that she didn't really recognize anybody. Not yet, anyway, but soon she hoped. "I'm not surprised you didn't see me. I kind of blend in, I think, so I don't really mind." Sira was again on her stomach, eyes on the lioness. "Do you happen to be from the pride, or are you just passing through?"

The lioness examined the other rather carefully, not sure what to make of her. "I'm new to the pride, so I was hoping to meet someone new. My name's Jasira, who are you?"

Semira smiled politely, she felt very bad that she had passed by someone without greating them, it was the last thing that she needed was to be considered rude to other members of the pride. She moved quickly back towards where the brown lioness lay.

"I am sorry you do blend in quite well. I am from the pride." the sleek black lioness sat down infront of the other. "It is very nice to meet you Jasira, my name is Semira." she spoke in a gentle hushed town, Semira was never very good at talking to others, and even when she knew them she still used a quiet voice.

"Semira," she said, as if testing the name on her tongue. It flowed well, much like her own name. Sira smiled politely. "Nice to meet you. To tell the truth, I'm relieved you're from the pride." The lioness sounded a little exasperated, as though she'd been searching for much longer than she actually had. "I'm not exactly the greatest at mingling and meeting new people, so it's been a slow process moving here." She shrugged and offered the other a grateful smile. "It's a bit of a relief that I finally managed to speak up. I've been wandering around here for a few days now, so I know the land a bit better than I do the other members. I'm not normally sociable, so things wound up this way."

Sira patted the ground beneath her paw, letting a lull pass between the two. "Anyway, how long have you been a member? I still have a lot to learn, and I could use all the help I can get."

Semira nodded she understood wha tthe brown lioness talked about. She too rarley spoke to others before joining the pride, there was a little while in which she had been getting better here in the pride but recently she seemed to be going down hill again back towards what she use to be, now days she only really spoke to her sister and her cubs.

"I have been a member a little while, though I am still fairly new. I haven't gotten my true name yet, though my sister recently got hers." Semira smiled she was proud of how well her sister had adjusted to the life here, but it wasn't surprising really.

"Its a lovely home, you will love it here." Semira said looking around her. "The pride is welcoming and once you get comfortable you might even hear the spirts talking to you." Semira smiled she had only heard the spirts once or twice here but she liked to think they spoke more often than she had heard.

"Mmm," she mused softly to herself. "I hope so. I was completely gung ho about joining, but now that I'm here I feel like I haven't gotten anything done." Sira laughed a little, shaking her head. "Things never turn out quite how you picture them, though I don't regret joining. It's only been a few days but I already love this place. I don't doubt I'll feel the same way about the pride soon enough." She gave a confident nod and glanced around once more. "It's easy to relax here, don't you think?" she started, her mind going back to before the two ran into each other. "That's one of the things I like most about it."

Another lull passed as Sira searched for a topic. Luckily Semira had mentioned something that she was very interested in. "You said your sister recently got her true name, right?" she asked, emerald eyes glimmering with curiosity. "How long did it take for her to find it?" she went on, eyes focused on the black lioness.

Semira nodded she was hoping that the other lioness wasn't bored with her... Semira really wasn't gifted in the art of conversation, though she did take the chance to talk about her sister. "My sister she was here a couple months before she got her true name, she got it after giving birth to her cubs." Semira nodded.

"I think most get there names after some sort of expereince here, I think you often get them from a pride member." she smiled she had hoped to get her name from Kabu but well now she was avoiding it at all costs. "You might get your name sooner thouhg, things were tense in the pride lately, but things are cooling down now." Semira nodded she wasn't sure how much the new lioness knew about what the pride had had going on and she didn't want to scare her away.

Sira listened carefully, committing the information to memory as she nodded. "I see," she said after Semira finished speaking. "I'm curious what my name will be.." Sira murmured, a small smile on her maw. "Or who'll be the one to give it to me." She had turned away from the lioness as she let these thoughts run through her mind, but once they were gone she turned to face her once again. "Aren't you curious? Where your true name will come from and what it'll be. I'm sure the experience leading up to finding it will be just as exciting.."

She was being a bit optimistic, though. She knew that sometimes it might mean realizing something that one would rather not see. But then that, to Sira, was what made an individual. Experiences, good or bad, shape one's character. She knew, of course, having been raised by her mother the way she had. "Do you often wonder about it?"

Semira couldn't help but smile while the other lioness spoke, she could tell that the lioness was an optimist. It was refresshing really to have around, it had been a long time since she had had such an optimistic soul around her. "I have often wondered about my true name. I try to be patient though I hope that it will come soon, and from someone that matters to me. I think that it will matter more that way."

The ways of this pride could be very strange to new comers but Semira had become quite acustom to them. The black lioness began to get a little agitated in her seat, she was thinking about her cubs and she knew that she shold be getting back to them, as much as they didn't need her as much now days, they would be looking for some lunch around this time. She looked back towards the brown lioness not wanting to seem rude but at the same time her cubs would need her.

Sira took in her words, wanting to do the same. Being excited was one thing, being anxious was another. "Well there's nothing wrong with wondering, right?" she said with a little chuckle. "There's no use rushing it though, you're right. It'll come when the time's right." She sounded like she was simply trying to convince herself at that point. The brown lioness smiled at her newfound company, then noticed her restlessness. Sira shifted a bit uncomfortably, just then realizing that she must have held up the lioness from doing something more important than tending to a newcomer to the pride.

"I'm sorry," she said with an apologetic bow. "I didn't mean to hold you up. If you have something you need to get done, then by all means. I do appreciate your stopping to speak to me though, so thank you Semira."

"I do wish that I could stay longer to talk to you, I really do like meeting new comers, and others in the pride. Its just I have young cubs, who are probably wondering where their lunch is." she smiled warmly at the other lioness.

"Don't let them keep you from visiting me though, my den is just outside the area where most of the other ones are." she smiled. "You should come by and visit us all my cubs love meeting someone new." The dark lioness rose to her feet. "I am really glad to have met you Sira... don't be a stranger ok?"

"Thank you," she said, happy to have met someone so welcoming. Sira waved off the black lioness, and once she was out of sight Sira back to lying down on the ground on her side. She was relieved that she made a friend today, and feeling accomplished the brown pelted lioness closed her eyes and sighed. "Time for a nap.." she murmured, and before long she had drifted into a cool, calming slumber.
