Maybe it'll end like AVATAR (The Last Airbender) and the problem can be resolved with no lives lost.
I hope it can happen that way, but I'm not so sure.
I don't think Kishimoto wants to kill of either of his characters he's worked so hard on.
It would be like J.K. Rowling killing off Harry Potter at the end of her series.
She had put so much work into him, made him absolutely perfect, there was no way she was just going to let him die.
Because she had considered killing him in the end.
I think if anyone goes, it would be Sasuke.
He's the villain, he is the ultimate evil.
Naruto doesn't want to kill him, though.
If Naruto dies, it would be because he sacrificed himself for Sasuke/Konoha, like Yondaime did.
I actually could see Kishi having him go out like that.
So that's a great possibility.
But that would be so very boring and predictable, and I would cry. XD
So there are my ideas.

But I think your right about Sasuke, if he died. I really want to say that Kishi is going to kill Sasuke, but not before he comes back. Maybe not as in "Comes back to the village" but as in, finally gives up his obsession, and realizes how much hes changed.
And of course, he will probably be on his death bed, when he finally accepts this truth. He will apoligize, and cry, and everyone reading the manga will being dying on the inside, and then he will die dramatically.
LOL.
But because I have revealed my opinion on Sasuke, Its not gonna happen. JUST SO YOU ALL KNOW.
As for Naruto dying, I dont see it. Yes, it would be very poetic because of his father, but one of Naruto's biggest goals since the whole series began, was to be hokage (Even though that doesnt show
too much now) point being that Kishi can't kill him off if hes going to accomplish his goals.
Like you said, why would he build up this character he worked so hard on, and then kill him?
Same principle, why would he give Naruto these huge goals, and then never see that he accomplishes them? (Thats why I know Sasuke isnt going to die a bad guy)
