He hated doing this.
Despite that, Seth was on time and standing in the garage as one of the all-terrain vehicles pulled in with their latest transfers. The most notable, and the one he was here to meet, was a new elite agent coming from the Kanto region.
The brown haired, blue eyed man snorted to himself. The Kanto group was a bunch of flunkies as far as he was a concerned. They were a dwindling lot after the loss of Giovanni, and the Johto faction was all but extinct. Probably why this agent was being sent here.
Unfortunately, he had to be at least semi-polite to a newbie of the same rank.
As the agents got out of the vehicle, Seth stood tall and tried to spot the one he was looking for.

It was probably easy to miss sight of her. She was short, and in all honesty, the new transfer knew this. She stood just short of 5 feet in height, and in all honesty, she just looked like some kid. Yet as the agents shuffled off to where they needed to go, one pink haired girl stood at attention in front of Seth. She was not wearing the standard uniform, and if it weren't for the fact she already had a belt on her waist, probably looked like she needed a belt to keep her pants from falling off. Her green eyes were rather piercing as they looked the brown haired man dead into his cold blue ones. He was the same rank as her, she had no reason to fear. "Agent Kunai, reporting SIR!" she offered in a professional tone, still keeping at attention. She might have looked the part of a kid, but she definitely was not acting the part at all.

More than easy to miss considering Seth was a full foot and a half taller than her. If it wasn't for the bright pink hair, he might have overlooked her completely.
As Kunai stood before him at attention, the tall elite was stunned into silence for a few moments. Surely the age in her file had been wrong, as she looked much younger than 18. Yet, he never heard of anyone making it to the elite rank before that age. Hm.
Even so, he was impressed with her formality, even if it wasn't completely necessary. Though his ego wouldn't let him admit to that.
Seth simply nodded and held up his clipboard with all her information, giving it a glance, before looking back at Kunai.
"Welcome to the Kodo division of Team Rocket. I'm Agent Seth and I will be giving you a tour of the base." His voice completely flat as if he'd said it many times before.
With that he turned and headed for the door into the base. "This way."

"Thank you, sir."
It was an obligatory "thank you" rather than a sincere one. There was no warmth to her voice, her words falling from her lips in a cold manner. Her tour guide (to say the least) turned away and began walking, and quickly her own legs set to work. The big difference between height meant she had to walk much quicker to keep in step with Agent Seth's longer legs. It was something a person had to adjust to, and Kunai had more than mastered the art of walking to keep up with someone.
Before they had even walked into the door, her hand had already reached into her side pouch and pulled out something to keep her occupied during the tour. Most Team Rocket agents relied on Pokemon as their tools. However, Kunai's tool of the trade was in her hand, a finger smoothing over the edge of the kunai knife at hand. Perhaps it was a coping method, since she did not seem like the sort for small talk.
Obviously, this tour of the base was going to be a relatively quiet one.

The glint of the kunai knife did not escape Seth's eye as she pulled it out. However, he said nothing of it since several Rockets decided to keep weapons on them, although most preferred only using Pokemon. He happened to be among the majority, although that didn't mean he didn't know how to use weapons.
Not being one for small talk, the walk was indeed relatively quiet until they entered the main hub of the HQ.
Various Rockets in uniform milled about, minding their own business, as the elite pair passed through.
Seth nodded to their right to a large entry way led to a brightly lit room where loud conversation flowed freely. "That's the public cafeteria, and it's open 24/7."
Not much further down, he also beckoned to the entrance of what appeared to be another large room, where the noise wasn't any less dull. "The recreational area, free for use on your off hours. And next to it is the main gym." The later room housing various types of workout equipment.

After each feature was pointed out in the building, the girl repeated the location in a dull tone, just strictly to confirm she got the location correct.
"Public cafeteria." The girl did not have the most enthusiastic look upon her face when arriving, but her expression seemed to grow more sour at the chaos echoing through the particular room. It almost felt as if someone had stuffed a grouchy old woman who didn't like noise in the body of a very young looking 18 year old.
They walked along further. "Recreational area." It seemed to hold no interest to the girl. She walked along, pressing the thumb of her glove against the edge of her knife. Once they were outside of the gym, her feet paused in place as she seemed to almost inspect the room from where she was standing.
"A human gym? Are the Pokemon permitted to work out in the same gym, or is there an alternate gym for that?" Gym was such a loose term these days, that she needed the clarification to ensure she did not misinterpret the information given to her.

When it came to noise, Seth could certainly relate. He didn't care for it either, and tended to avoid the bustling crowds. Thus, he was scarce in this particular area, and almost only appeared in the least busy hours.
When Kunai paused, he did also, looking back at the pink haired girl as she asked her question.
"There are alternate gyms for that. Six individual training gyms for all ranks. We'll be passing those shortly. There are also a couple private training gyms the in Elite section of the building." With rank came privilege after all.
Having answered her question, Seth continued on, provided that there wasn't any more delays.
His voice went on its monotony spree as he pointed out some lesser features of the place, and then the six rooms for Pokemon training that he had mentioned before.
After awhile though, they arrived at a closed corridor. Withdrawing his key card, Seth swiped it through the card reader, allowing the doors to open. "This is the Elite Wing. Rooms, training gyms, etc are found here for those of our rank."

Her head jostled one whole time to offer a firm nod at the response. Not one to linger for too long, she obediently followed, keeping her lips pressed shut in a straight line. She, unfortunately, would need to get very familiar with each and every gym in the facility, since it was more or less her job at this new headquarters.
Her steps continued onward, going double the speed of Seth's strides, causing a rather strange rhythm to beat along the floors as they pressed to the Elite Wing. She watched with dull interest as he swiped his card to gain access to the restricted area. Before entering through the door, the pink-haired girl simply asked "How many Elite Agents work in this facility?"
The restricted access could only mean so much if there were floods of Elite Agents working in the area.

"Hmph. Not enough. Less than ten." Was his curt answer to Kunai's question.
The elite ranks were rather lacking considering the large amount of new recruits that needed training, and the other lesser ranks that they had to keep tabs on. It kept them all rather busy indeed.
Seth continued to lead the way as they walked down the corridor. Eventually stopping at a door.
"This is your room, and here is your key card and all the information you will probably need."
Handing over the key card and a folder filled with various papers, the blue-eyed man then looked at Kunai with what seemed barely restrained patience.
"Any questions?"

After the mention of the dwindling number of Elite agents in the facility, the pink haired girl offered a simple "Understaffed," in commentary. She didn't elaborate, so it could be interpreted many different ways. Maybe she meant that the facility was understaffed? Maybe she was using that word to describe the reason for her transfer to the Kodo region? Whatever the reason, she offered the word and nothing more.
Her short legs continued to keep her just barely at Agent Seth's side. Her legs only took another break when the brunette stopped in front of a door.
Apparently it was her own door. When the card was offered, her hand came up and swiftly snatched it into her own with one clean and efficient motion. There was no gracious tone to her voice as she stated the expected "Thank you, sir!" The folder was soon enough snatched up with her other hand.
He asked about other questions, and it was a well known fact that it was usually looked upon in a positive light to ask an intelligent question towards the end of something so serious. Holding the folder at her side with her short arm, she looked at Seth's piercing blue eyes with her sharp green ones.
"I would like confirmation as to my duties in this facility, Seth."

Seemingly unfazed at the sudden snatching of the offered card and folder, Seth now only held the clipboard with the basic information on the agent standing in front of him.
The question was valid, even though he was pretty certain she already knew what her assignment was.
"Training of new recruits and grunts in the area of combat."
Again his reply was short and to the point. Also, judging from the knife she carried, she was likely well suited to this assignment.
"The details will be in that folder. Anything else?"
Although he wasn't likely to admit it, he was interested to see what this beansprout girl was capable of. She didn't look like much, but he knew better than to make assumptions. She was an elite for a reason after all. Even if coming from the flunky region of Kanto.

There was one single nod of her head at the mention of her duty, 100% confirming what she had come in knowing. Her eyes didn't waver as she moved onto the next question, which was rather important for her.
"What are the rules of conduct for dealing with my underlings, Seth? More specifically, those who are under my supervision for training." She lifted up the hand which had now both the card and the kunai knife and rather pointedly held out the knife, as if silently asking if violence was an approved strategy for whipping slackers into shape.
She might have looked the part of a little girl, but she took her work seriously. Perhaps a bit more seriously than an 18 year old should.

Now that was more like it. At that question, Seth finally managed a smirk.
"Whatever it takes to get the job done. Short of killing and seriously injuring them of course." After all, at that point they were not of any use anymore.
Granted, he and TRP had different ideas on how to train new recruits. But they left it at that. Seemed that Seth and Kunai would be more likely to... see eye to eye. In a manner of speaking. Perhaps she would be tolerable after all.

Her tone was flat and serious, as it had been the whole time. Yet, she obviously seemed to approve of the response she received.
"I assume that the health insurance policies are in the folder as well? I will review them to see what is within guidelines then work accordingly."
This had been her main issue she had to tend to in Kanto. She kept getting in trouble for going too far and causing the health insurance to get raised. It was a minor issue in the whole scheme of things, but it was never fun to get a slap on the wrist for something so pointless.
Her lips did not smile. Not even a hint of a smirk. "I appreciate your input, for I am under the impression it is an accurate depiction of the guidelines for the health insurance policy." Her hand with the knife and card soon enough fell back to her side and she grew quiet.
She had no more questions for now. She needed to tend to the paperwork at hand. If she was lucky, it would probably take only half a day.
If she was lucky.
Rather than say she had no more questions, she just looked at her momentary superior (of the same rank) sharply. If she was a more open person, she might have asked him if he had any questions for her.
She was not that sort of person.

Well that was good, because Seth didn't care to talk anymore than he had to. He wasn't exactly the most social person on the planet. Talking as much as he had already, got on his nerves.
He gave a simple nod to her question about the health insurance. He had personally made sure that all the information she would need was in that folder, and even double checked. After all, he didn't want to answer any more questions than he had to, or discover she was missing something and have to get it for her when it could have been avoided.
When there was silence, it was obvious that she had no more questions. Good. That meant he could leave. Finally.
"I will leave you to your own devices then. I've got better things to do."
He had an appointment with the HQ's head scientist after all. Thus, he walked past Kunai and headed down the corridor towards the restricted laboratories.
