Note: I know Roni is approved but I'm making mild edits to her personality section. I'm not taking out any flaws or adding any strengths. Roni in play is a different creature than I expected though, and I want to add a bit to reflect her. That way, if I put her up for impression, you'll know what you're dealing with. I am italicizing the edited section so that you can find it quickly should you need to make sure I'm not giving her super powers or something.

Name: Ronasha
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Craft: Woodcraft
Rank: Apprentice Woodcrafter / Candidate

History:
Ronasha's is a third generation woodcrafter, like her father before her and her grandmother before that. Trained primarily by her father, a Master who resides at High Telgar, she started learning the craft, and her father's specialty, Carpentry at a young age. Indeed, her childhood was perhaps a little too isolated, her father a passionate man who was more interested in his craft than in people. Ronasha lacks her father's all consuming passion, but growing up surrounded primarily by sharp things and wood, she's more comfortable working than she is with people.

Ronasha's mother was a cook at High Telgar at the time of her conception. She was also very young, seventeen and ten years younger than Ronasha's father. She thought, at first, that having a baby might be fun. And maybe it was, at first. But the shiny wore off quickly and by the time that Ronasha turned three, she'd been surrendered entirely into her father's care. Oh, she knows who her mother is, and they have a cordial relationship, but it isn't the relationship of a mother and a daughter.

It's important to note that despite not having a mother's influence, Ronasha has not been neglected. She has one sibling, her father's son from a previous relationship, and her father. Both men have made a serious effort to see to it that Roni not feel ignored or set aside. Yes, they're passionate men who become obsessed with their craft but they've woven Ronasha into that passion as well. She has been loved, cared for, and sheltered to an almost unwise extent. Used to being protected and looked after, she's nervous of new people and new situations.

At fifteen, Ronasha was picked up on search. Her family had serious reservations about her going to the Weyr alone and allowed it only after deciding that Ronasha's brother could got to the Weyr as well, employing his services as a carpenter. Even so, Roni has less supervision, and less safety than she is accustom to. The world is big and scary and she's experiencing it almost for the first time.

Appearance: Ronasha looks younger than she is. She's a slight little thing with dark hair and huge brown eyes. Short, without the feminine curves she really should have started to develop by her age, she could easily be mistaken as thirteen or so at a casual glance. She's naturally olive skinned, tan by birth instead of any particular exposure to the sun.

She keeps her black hair long and loose, except when she's working. She treats it as a sort of shield, it hides her face when she assumes her usual eyes on the floor pose. Despite being generally tiny, she has a soft face, lacking prevalent cheekbones. Her chin rounded, her nose turned up just a tad. It's unlikely that anyone will ever call Ronasha beautiful, though she might pass for 'adorable' if she wanted.

Personality:
Ronasha is a coward. She's intimidated by people, uncomfortable around dragons, and on occasion, scared of herself. Never put into a position in her childhood where she could let people down, Ronasha is startled and confused by her newly discovered capacity for failure. There is so much in the world that can be done wrong. So many rules that she doesn't know. And that terrifies her. She tries very hard to be obedient and helpful, but she's likely to ask for instruction and positive reinforcement every few minutes, even when set to a simple task like peeling potatoes.

A lot of Roni's need for positive reinforcement comes from the fact that she is, in a word, neurotic. Perhaps its simply an outgrowth of her fears, as she's certainly not like that in the safety of her family's home. But, nevertheless, Roni takes her fear of doing things wrong to ridiculous new heights. It's not merely that she fears getting in trouble should she mess up, she's convinced there will be catastrophic and life threatening results. A broken plate may very well mean the end of life at the Weyr as she knows it. A bundle of pathetic nervous energy, Roni approaches each new task as if the fate of Pern rests on her shoulders.

Ronasha, despite her fears, is fascinated by other people. She's so accustom to people who are reliable and predictable that the fluxuating emotional states of those around her are startling and strange. She is drawn, in her skittish way, to others, though it takes no more than a harsh word to send her running off in tears. Those willing to spend the time coaxing her out of the shell have a chance to meet a girl who is sweet, obedient, and capable of deep and abiding loyalties. Though, to be honest, a lot of Ronasha's 'sweetness' comes out of a desire to be good. It's something she wants to do, and approaches rather like her other chores, with a deep fear she might do it wrong.

While Ronasha does find people interesting that interest grows out of what is essentially a lack of understanding. Yes, she's kind. Yes, she wants to be helpful. But when you get right down to it, people confuse her. She has no idea what to do if someone else is angry. She's flustered when other's are sad. Even exuberance gets what can best be described as puzzlement out of her. The only people Ronasha really succeeds at relating to are people like her: quiet, focused, and shy. She is, essentially, self-centered, in the sense that she doesn't know how to interpret things outside of herself.

Deep down, all Ronasha really wants is to do a good job. It's what she's always tried to do, it's what she's always been praised for doing in the past. She just isn't sure what a good job is, anymore, or how to do it.

Good traits: Hard Working, Nice, obedient
Bad Traits: Cowardly, shy, lacking in confidence, change averse, poor at understanding others. Overinflated sense of her own ability to cause harm.
