♪ Resonating Mountains ♪

[Shruikan Tenshi]

Off to the side within the country of sound is a mountain range which stretches across the border of the sound and trails within it. The mountain range is shrouded in fog, limiting far distance sightings. Wild animals roam around here and travelers often come here to get to other countries quickly though it is risky. Avalanches occur once in a while which caused the mountain side to be steep. The fog cannot be blown away.

Yosei quickly entered the well forested mountains described in the report. He kept in mind his goal to track down the giant snake. As expected the area was shrouded in a very thick mist. The sound genin had never navigated this area before and was rather nervous about it. "How do you think we should start Nakamuro?"

Nakamuro had his mask on when he arrived at the site, who knows what could be lying in wait for them. He looked over at Yosei as he may just be a genin but he won't let rank fool him. Iron sand flew out of his sleeves quite quickly, even some of the ground combined with his lightning element turn some of the minerals into iron particles of sand. Iron sand hovered all around Nakmauro and Yosei as the best way to find this snake is to use the sensor part of his bloodline. "We stay together, getting lost in this fog would prove quite challenging. I'll use my iron sand to try and pick up where the snake is at. Also-" He said as he cut himself off as he form a skinny short spear of iron in his left hand, sticking it into the ground as this will be a way to come back just in case they're lost int he fog and forest. "If we manage to separate these iron spears will tell me of your location if you manage to find one of them. I'll place one every 15 meters." He told the young man as he continued to walk into the fog, The iron sand that was floating about scattered around the land to try and pick up where the snake's general direction is at. A good amount still was by the young boy's side for him to place spears.

As the iron sand began to float around, Yosei was rather surprised. He had only ever heard of this ability and had no idea it even existed in Otogakure. The sound genin nodded as Nakamuro finished his instructions. "Alright then. Lets start our search." Yosei began walking farther into the forest, but would not stray ahead of his partner.

Nakamuro had already place another 5 iron spears to the ground which would also act as sensor bars just in case this giant snake slithered past one of them. From what his sand could pick up it was quite distant and the rumble just now seemed to have drive it further within the woods. he looked at his back slightly as Yosei was closely behind him which was good. Iron sand hovered still around the Chunin, his own ultimate defense made out of iron as it'll protect him from almost any incoming attack even from blind spots. In truth he could just make a sea of iron and find the sneak even easier but he didn't want to destroy the environment and plus Yosei would get caught up within the sea. Placing another spear into the ground, he continued off to where the direction of the snake was located.

Yosei jumped a little as he heard a large rumble off in the distance. He had no idea what it could be but he knew it could not be good. The sound genin continuing following Nakamuro as the chuunin placed more iron spears into the ground. Yosei was starting to become rather dismayed since there was still no sign of the giant snake. "I realize this snake is gigantic, but these are also very large mountains. How long do you think it will take us to find it?"

Nakamuro was curtain that he was closer tot he snake but it must of ran off quite quickly. But still he could sense the being with his iron sand as the thing was slithering all around it, it shouldn't be much longer until they finally mind the being and kill it. Also, his sand could just cover the whole thing and crush it inside out but this snake was suppose to be really huge as well. "Not long, my sand can find it easily." He simply said to the genin as he placed another iron spike into the ground. Even if they did find this thing it'll be trouble fit he snake split both of us and one of us has to take it on while the other is searching. A sigh crept from the boy as the thought about it seemed rather troublesome then ever.

Yosei only nodded in response to Nakamuro's analysis. "We should probably discuss a strategy for when we find the snake. I'm a ninjutsu specialist. I can use a lot of lightning and sound jutsus and I'm not terrible at taijutsu either. What's your style?" Yosei realized he was finally getting to meet other shinobi of Otogakure. It was a relatively exciting concept for him, especially now that he was starting to get over accidentally killing his old teammate in training.

Nakamuro once more set another iron spike into the ground as he had quite a large amount of iron sand with him still. He notice that Yosei was trying to start an conversation and trying to get along with which was fine with Nakamuro. Still he didn't look back and just kept on walking, his mask still covering his face. "As you can see I use my sand as for a defense and offense. Also, I'm a puppet user, I use puppets for the same reason as my sand, offense and defense. You could say it's my ultimate one-two punch. In truth I could kill this snake by myself with just my sand alone but maybe I'm being overconfident about myself. Also I don't really favor much in my element jutsus and as well with taijutsu and genjutsu. My puppets and sand are my allies for a fight." He told Yosei as he didn't know why he spoke so much to this person, someone he just met recently and it felt like he was an old friend from such a long time ago. maybe he just needed someone to talk to that isn't a relative or a sensai, someone that is under his rank or in between like him. After such a a talk he place another iron spike into the ground as he felt that he was getting closer tot he giant snake.

Yosei had never met a puppet user before besides the Otokage. More importantly he had never seen one fight. The sound genin was now even more excited for the inevitable fight they were about to encounter. "That's so cool. I can't wait to see your puppets if you decide to use them. This fight should be easy work then since we're both ranged combatants. If it comes to melee I'll do my best to keep it off of you while you do the dirty work." Yosei could see it in his head now and was becoming anxious to finish the hunt and get to the fight.

Nakamuro could see that Yosei wanted to see how his puppets would work if he chooses to use them in this fight. Butt he purpose for not using his puppets that much was because he wanted to see how Yosei fairs and at lest get some battle data on him. of choice he didn't tell him this because he didn't know how he'll react to this. ye again another rumble had happen but it seemed that luck was siding on them this time, the giant snake seems to be heading into their way and it won't take long until they meet up with this monstrous snake. He place yet again another spike into the ground and continued up the pace as the air around seems to be getting colder as well.

As Yosei and and Nakamuro continued to walk they became silent at the sound of another loud rumble. Even Yosei, who knew nothing of tracking, could begin to see signs of what was obviously a giant snake having passed through here. He figured this meant they were catching up. The sound genin began to be on his guard in case things were not as they seemed and the two sound shinobi were actually the ones being hunted.

Nakamuro had came to a halt as the sound of a hiss came from the dense fog. Without showing any movement he waited for the beast to strike as he didn't know what it'll do but for now, all of the iron sand that was scattered across the the land besides the spikes gathered at his spot which looked more like a sea of black dots in the air, floating carelessly but stood near their master. Nakamuro himself reach in the bag he had that was dangling near his rear, the bag itself was rather large and pulled out two scrolls which would help him in this fight. He waited until the thing strike at him or Yosei.
