So as of yesterday I have to take 1-2 muscle relaxants before going to sleep and 1 in the daytime if it's possible. I also have to take 1-3 extra strong painkillers during the daytime.
What's wrong? My neck. D: I've been having a slight neck pain for over a week now, it's been pretty bad in the mornings but it's got better during the day. Yesterday morning I woke up and couldn't move. Every movement hurt my neck and arm so bad. It felt like my neck was broken or dislocated. I finally had to go see a doctor, who perscribed the aforementioned meds for me. And if they don't work, I'll need physiotherapy. ********. Just because I've been hax0ring away on my computer, doing school work for 12+h daily even on weekends for the past almost 3 weeks.
I tried the muscle relaxants last night and woah, they just knocked me out. First I started feeling heavy and my breathing slowed down and then BAM I was asleep for the following 7 hours until I woke up because my neighbours was smoking next to the air vent again and the smoke was drifting in my apartment. D:

Geez... I had a pain in my lower back two years ago. From sitting all the time. It hurt all the time, it wasn't getting better during the day either. Eventually I found the right painkiller in cream (ointment?).
I hope you'll get better soon. *hugs gently*

I saw the thread title and was hoping to be regaled with tales of misadventures related to the misuse of prescription muscle relaxants/painkillers. But there's no fun to be had here at all!
Srsly tho, hopefully this is just temporary and the result of, say, sleeping at an awkward angle. Did the doctor suggest any possible causes when you came in for your appointment?

He said it's probably due to sitting in front of the computer for hours on end in a bad position. And well I've been doing 12+h school days (at school and after school) for the past almost 3 weeks and it's involved a lot of time on the computer. The daytime meds did no good, the pain didn't go away. But the relaxants were really good. I might have to up the dosage of the day meds tomorrow.

I don't want to jinx it, but today (Saturday) was okay. I only needed one painkiller during the day. I was at my parents', because my neighbours were partying and I was in too much pain (Friday) to call the police. I realised that my parents' sofa and one big pillow were a good combination for keeping my neck and upper back upright like in a hospital bed. It meant I couldn't roll in a ball or other weird neck hurting positions during the night. And now that I'm back at my apartment I'm going to pile up all my pillows and try to recreate the upright position from last night.

Though it's been stated ad nauseam, your neighbors suck. Nay, they do not merely suck. They are wretched, repugnant fleas upon the fleas upon a mosquito upon a jackal feasting upon the rotten, decaying carcass of a crow. Moronic, inconsiderate, useless, insipid, loathsome parasites, whose sole beneficial act to their fellow man would be to kill themselves. That about sums it up.
You really need to get out of that shitty apartment. How many more months/years do you have left at the school?

Don't get me wrong, I've been trying to find a new apartment for months now. It's not easy finding a place that's only 1-2 rooms and for a decent price and at a decent location. I went to see one place that was smaller than where I am now for almost double the price I'm paying now, but at a better location. It was terrible. The moment I went in for the showing I knew I didn't want it. I've also applied for err something I don't know what it is in English, but that I'd pay a downpayment for the apartment and then continue paying rent normally and if I want to move out I get the downpayment back. I've received two offers that I've replied to, but I haven't heard of them since. All the people who apply for these apartments get a queuing number and if say 3 people have applied for one apartment and they all say yes to the offer, the one with the smallest number gets the place. Sadly my number is quite big, so it might take a while for me to get an apartment. sad
And I managed to pile up all the pillows I have in a big pile and sleep on them. It was lovely. And the neighbours were as quiet as they can ever be, which means no music, but loud talking. <3

These neighbours of yours... geez...
I really much more prefer to have an occassional chilidren's cry in the night (most of my neighbours are young couples) that this.

They don't have a death penalty in the whole Europe(an Union). Russia might be different, though I believe they do not execute people.

And in the prisons here everyone gets their own cell, own TV and good food and you have access to the Internet (with a 2 Mb connection). Prisoners here have it so easy and nice.
Yay, loud ear blasting music is being played again... because normal people always party on a Monday. stare
I'm trying to get off the day meds, because the side effects are horrible: nausea, light headedness and seeing colours. I didn't find it very amusing at school today. D:

You don't find it fun seeing colors in school? I'd find that fun.
But I mean, right now, killing them sounds like your best option. If you get caught, you just have to spend the rest of your days locked in glorious hotel style prison cell, with three meals a day, quiet nights, a free place to stay, etc.
I'm going to move to Finland and go to jail.
