Is the band, Girls' Generation, J-pop or K-pop? I saw this video on Mango Music Videos and i loved this song. but i dont know if they are J- or K-pop

Wouldn't that depend on the country they're from? Correct me if I'm wrong, I tend to ignore genre distinctions. Sounds weird coming from the one who's the Captain and all, but I don't discriminate! blaugh

anyway, im thinking they might be Japanese but im not 100% positive

They're not Japanese o_o.
Their actually Korean. I think its a seven or nine girl group because its pretty huge? If you look at their MV for Gee, they mostly all sing in Korean. They're pretty much taking over South Korea right now since the Wonder Girls are away touring in the U.S.

You mean SNSD? They're Korean. I think their songs are too... peppy-hyper.
But Run Devil Run was pretty good. I like their version more than Ke$ha's.

Run Devil Run is okay for me. And yeah, it's better than Ke$ha's.
A lot of SNSD songs are preppy so I think RDR is the first non-preppy song that they've made that I've heard of.
