I know Equalor was trying to get one himself. He experimented on a Vine egg, but it didn't work out for him, and he got a regular vine instead of a neglected. He waited until the egg had 2 days left, then posted it into ERs. He plans on trying again, just wanted to get past the Valentine rush. Will let everyone know what he tries next ^^
Equalor's fogged egg is his next experiment for a Neglected dragon

According to everything I've seen, you have to wait until it's down to at least one day... and I heard that logging out of your scroll and hiding your scroll from public view along with fogging the egg are all good starts to how you might get a neglected...
I've just taken a water skeeter egg from the Cave drops. That way, it doesn't have any "parents" to check up on it. I immediately fogged the egg and I also hid my scroll. I'm going to try to stay logged out of my scroll as much as I can, though I do still have dragons... however, they're all posted up here, so I can check up on them without actually going to my scroll. ^-^ Wish me luck!

OOOOH THOSE LOOK COOL I want one. D:
I honestly think it can be any breed of dragon, but as long as it's an egg.

I wonder if it might possibly be linked to the rarity of the egg as well as to your chances? (Just a thought and I think I might join in on this... I posted the eggs I care for and shall now hide the CB Fog I picked up and hide my scroll)
So six days from now will be... next week tuesday? 8 am is when I should check and ER it where-ever possible right?
:3 and just post like mad in the chatterbox and other high traffic forums >>
*crosses fingers*
I might actually try at under a day, but not in the last hour >> I'm thinking maybe having two hours left or something for it? Maybe waiting till the last minute won't work but tossing it in ERs with an hour or two left might make it more possible to have the egg turn?

Oh and possibly : Quote: their neglect as a hatchling leaves them crippled, The focus should be more on the hatchling than on the egg?

Well, the egg turned out to be a normal hatchling. I started putting it in ER sites at 2 hours left, and it hatched in about half an hour. I'm fogging it again and I'll keep it fogged until it has about a day left. We'll see if neglect as a hatchling works... I might try it with another egg again...

AMAZING NEWS!!!!!!!!!!! I just came across a sick egg AND a neglected hatchling at two different ER sites!!!
OH MY GOSH NEGLECTED AND SICK DRAGONS!!!!!!! THEY EXIST!!!!!!!

The second was an egg with 2 days left and less than 100 unique views and it was a sick egg, now it's hatched into a neglected dragon. So this means at least 1) you CAN get Neglected dragons 2) It just has to be ER status, not 1 hour left status.
Okay, it was about 1400 overall and less than 100 unique views with like 35ish views. I'm keeping a record of this.
So does this mean a dragon needs mad refreshing overall views and tons of clicks? Does the dragon have to be included in a batch of eggs where some die? Some people have hinted at this... neither of the two eggs have their owners visible to see, so I can't check to see if there are any dead eggs on their scrolls. Maybe they'll pop up later. Hmm... Thoughts? Comments? Ideas? New experiments?

Looking at that person's scroll, they have 2 dead eggs that died 2 and 3 days before the neglected dragon hatched... so perhaps dead eggs do influence it becoming sick/neglected?
