The creature that sputters up on shore looks like some small, thinner-furred version of a Saigh, with weeds crawling all over the tiny frame. The drab gray pattern of it's fur is striped not only with seaweed, but with a darker blue-gray scattered stripe pattern, muchly resembling the unheard-of-here housecat labeled 'Alley' by breed, or sometimes Tabby... Although, since the feline was bigger than most housecats (While still smaller than the Saigh) Perhaps it was closer in kin to a manx, or a bobcat.

The feline panted on the shore for a few moments befre dragging her tail out of the water, and taking a long, painstaking moment to pluck the seaweed out of her fur, giving it displeased glares.

While she continued to clean herself, growling and hissing at the amount of salt lodged in her fur, but eager to get it out of the material, your eyes were allowed to roam. She wasn't the only thing that washed up; planks of wood in their little curves from the hull of... Something, obviously, sat criss-crossed on the bank, rocked gently by the waves, and there was even a life-ring out on the water, though it didn't look to be heading inwards, and it was probably dangerous to go out after it.

So, with the surroundings looked over, it was time to return attention to the befouled feline. She slumped in the sand, sticking her tongue out at the taste she'd adopted from her fur and even scraping it with her paw, trying to get all the salt off the rough buds. She looked up at the beast watching her and around at the beach after a moment and shuddered, sighing.

"Hello..." She started, returning her eyes to the much larger feline. "I... Must be in the right place, I suppose... My keeper spoke of a place with huge cats, much like you."

Dae-Rune, the beast she'd been talking to, raised a brow. "You're... 'Keeper'?"

"Not important..." She barked. "Look, I need some help... I know it's wrong to leave litter on another's beach... If you poke through the sand, you should find some stuff from our boat... I can try and fashion anything you find into jewelry, if you'd li-... Hey, where are you going?"

"Elsewhere. Clean up your own mess, ya pile of lunchmeat!" He snarled, disappearing into the thin layers of brush resting in a nearby miniforest. Something told her he'd be back eventually, though... Perhaps even doing her job.

She spotted another feline, or perhaps a group of felines, and called them over, stretching on the sand, and explaining her story again. "I can try and fashion the things you find into jewelry... Your breed seems to like it, based on your ears and tails... y'know? I'm sure there's plenty of stuff, it was a big boat. It's kinda difficult to fashion most of it, though.

Anyways, I'll need some kind of payment from you so you can take stuff from the wreck... Then when I have enough stuff, I can go out and try to find the compound the keeper's friends had on the island, and go back to grilled fish and primo wet cat food." Her eyes glazed over and a small bit of drool crawled over her tongue as she thought about whatever 'Grilled' fish and that other thing she'd mentioned were. Probably really good, judging by her outlook.

So... Interested?

Ahhh, so awesome! Alright, to the basics...

Rules
This is an RP game. You RP your saigh (In INDIVIDUAL paragraphs each...) no less than a paragraph. The more you write per Saigh, the better their chances of finding more than just one item.

In my book, a paragraph counts as 5 to 8 sentences, with more being acceptable, and welcomed.

Punctuation is a MUST... At least periods and commas. If it's not 100% Nobel Prize winning material, that's fine, but I'd like to be able to comprehend what you're writing, at the very least. I'll try not to play the grammar nazi too heavily.

You can write each entry in a different post if you'd like, or combine them in one post. If you put more than one in one post, I'd like you to use some kind of a seperator and different colors to say which Saigh the section is for. A title of the Saigh's name seperated from the actual entry by one spare line would be nice, as well. (basically like I type.)

Have fun with it, feel free to control your environment, but do NOT say you found anything.

I'll make a post for each person's entry(s) as they come in, explaining what was found.

When/if you want an item adorned on your Saigh, PLEASE bring me your Uncert. I'm not really all that good at hunting images down. When I get the Uncert, I will put the item on that image, and then recert it so Nyghti doesn't have to.

Thank you. ^-^

Also, as a note: the 'Shinies' she's asking for are a fee of 1000 gold, sent to the Mule. Please remember to title the trade 'buying X entries for Shipwrecked' or 'Shipwrecked' or something to that effect. Doesn't have to be exact, but something along those lines. ^-^ You can play it in your entry any way you want, if you want to call it bringing her a kill you made or a fish you caught.

Each Saigh may play 3 times. (That's THREE times...) Each time, you must send the 1k to the mule. If you intend to play three times from the start, feel free to send 3k to the mule, but WAIT for my posts between your plays

I'll be building an informational topic as we go, so people don't get a sneak peek at what's available and try to drive something specific into their plot. When you put an item together here, I'll make an image to set up on your sprite using the items you have collected. Once put on a Saigh, the only way they can be taken off is if the base is a a specific type, or by destroying the item, so they're kind of semipermanent. However, the items CAN be added onto later. (Note: Unless I feel like it, the item probably won't be redrawn.)

These items ARE tradeable.

If you WANT to mark in your journal what has been found, please do so, I welcome it. I reccomend it. You might even mark when your Saigh equips one of these items. (Which requires the assistance of the NPC most of the time, because she has what's closest to 'opposable' thumbs accross the whole island.) (But this topic won't be deleted, I'll move it to the admin forum for recordkeeping.)

((O.o >.> <.< is it open?/Maybe explain a little better what exactly is going on xD Like what they are paying gold for and the fact that pretty things will be added to the images of their Saigh.... ))

Okay, I fixed that. Thank you for the pointer, I didn't realize I'd forgotten to clarify those.

Aileena had been rather cooped up for most of the winter, since the nights came so early and getting lost outside was much more dangerous with the cold. Most winters she had to fend for herself anyway, but now that she had a clan to help her, she could do jobs that were safe for her and still eat well. But she could take care of cubs and treat injuries only so long before she felt the need to roam free again. She had gone out with other members of the clan, just to make sure she would get home all right if it got dark suddenly, but there was plenty of sunlight left and the pale female wanted to explore some on her own.

Though the beach wasn't a place she ventured to regularly, a strange shadow on the otherwise pale gold sand had attracted her attention from a distance. Upon closer inspection, Ailee was still not entirely sure what she was looking at, except that there appeared to be a small furry creature, almost cub-sized, standing in front of beach washed items. There were things spread all throughout the sand, and while Aileena was shy by nature, the safety of her clan had allowed much more of her curiosity to be expressed as of late. There were disturbances in the sand, like something had been lying there but was now removed, or perhaps had been buried, and she couldn't help but wonder which was the case. Soon the female found herself pawing through the cold sand, eager to see what, if anything, lay beneath it. For the most part she ignored the small creature standing a ways off, since she still wasn't a huge fan of strangers.

((is that enough for an item or shall we rp a bit of the interaction between them?))

(You DO realize the fae was actually SPEAKING to the players, yes? Hence the quotation marks and all the verbality? XD Anyways...)

The first run over the sand her paw gave revealed a little shock of chocolate brown in the sand. Further pawing led to a small string, maybe large enough to tie around Aileena's neck with something to weigh down the front of it, or make a pair of paw bracelets. It was also connected, a little deeper, and at the end of it's string, to a butterfly shell, peeking out of the sand a few inches off to the right. The fae leaned over Aileena's catch and smiled. "That could make a nice pendant." She hummed, looking up at Aileena again. "Or you could keep it... Someone else might find something you like better."

Elsha had over heard the cub-thing, and nodded, she padded over near the sands, and began to dig, her familiar, Devlin, enthusiasticly joined her in searching, in fact he actually burrowed under the sand looking for treasure, he was doing it more for fun, and she was doing it to help the strange creature get home, it would be horrible, to get stuck somewhere unknown, with almost no way to get home.

The familiar was tunneling through the sand, and every time he'd find something, he'd drag it out of the hole, and drop it in a pile, no matter what it was, he even dropped a beetle in the pile!! "Isn't This Fun, Ellie?!" The familiar asked, as he paused from his digging to flop on his bondmate's head. Upset slightly when she didn't respond, he slipped off her head so he was in front of her, "Ellie! You there?" once again, he was ignored, getting the hint he flipped through the air and dived back down his hole to search for more stuff.

Elsha and her familiar would have amassed quite a pile by the time they'd finished their run in the sand for the day, but, peering through it, the small fae sighed, declaring most of what was found useless, since she had no way to preserve the insects and she didn't know how to manipulate shell fragments to settle appropriately on anything without the aid of her keeper's chemicals. Finally, when she reached the bottom, she pulled a little gold bangle loose from the wreckage the pair had amassed. The thick little ring was coated in moss and other whathaveyous from the ocean, but a glint of gold was visible all the way around.

"THIS, however... This is good. It would make a nice wristlet, if you'd like... Or perhaps a tail bracelet, if you'd rather... I could even clean it for you, maybe... It might take some time, though."

((Ailee's awkward enough she would just ignore someone talking to her if she could xD ))

A bright smile lit the face of Saigh and she looked with mild amazement at the pretty objects that the sand had been hiding. The words of the strange creature finally penetrated her socially inept brain and she realized that these were such objects as the creature had offered to assemble together. Speaking of just the same, the voice came again to her ears, but this time at a much closer distance, causing a shot of fear and surprised to go through Ailee's little body and she spun to face the creature, her pale eyes showing the emotions coursing through her, "Oh!" Looking at the items she had found, a battle of fear and happiness waged in her, and after a few moments, she decided such a pretty item was certainly worth speaking so such a strange creature, "N-no, I'd like to keep them if I may. W-Would you make a necklace? I-I can t-t-trade you some herbs for it?"

Dobharchu liked the water and the beach in general; he really did. The ocean had so much to offer, from fish to adventure, and the presence of a wrecked ship came to the cat as no surprise. The small, stringy feline, however, was quite a surprise to him, and he chuckled at her antics. Opportunists like her made him smile, and he was quite willing to trade a large fish he'd caught for permission to rake through the sand. Distancing himself from the others in the area, he began his search, watching the stranger all the time. She wasn't from around here, obviously... poor thing, as young-looking as she was and all alone in a strange land... Mentally, he thought to check on her again in a few days and see if she was able to find food for herself.

Gemma had been going to the beach for a swim on that day. However, today she spotted an unfamiliar animal on the beach. It seemed to be talking to others of her species. She moved closer to the ones gathered around to listen. She heard it tell them about making jewelry from the things they found on the beach as long as they gave a form of payment. Gemma loved jewelry and would not mind helping the strange being out at the same time. She had to just think of some sort of payment. hmm...maybe she would catch a fish for it. She decided that is what she would do. She called to the animal "I will help!", and than began her search for the various items on the ground.

The fae smiled softly, taking the items gently as Ailee offered them up again. "Of course I can. I'll only be a few minutes, so you can go gather those herbs of yours." She cooed softly.

She glanced up when Dobha came around, giggling when she went to look over the things he'd collected. She poked through them and smiled, holding up a small bronze ring, similar to the one Elsha had found earlier, without the green moss and algea clinging to every edge of the ring. "Here. This is good. I'd bet it would make a lovely anklet." She said, handing him the ring again. "I could help you fit it on, if you'd like, but I don't think it will slide over your forepaws very comfortably."

She smiled over at Gemma and nodded, settling into the work with the delicate shell and string Ailee was hoping to find a necklace on her return. When she came over to Gemma's little pile of things, she swiped the strange little metal disks and a few pieces of over-damp paper that didn't seem to have much place here, anyways. They were like very thin leaves, and all cut in the same shape. Maybe they had some value to her keepers' friends? She began poking through Gemma's pile again and smiled, pulling up a very delicate-looking, broken necklace. The chord looked the same as some others that had already been found, a dark brown string of leather, but the pendant, still attatched to the overly wet material just barely, was still in quite fine shape. "My keeper showed me a picture once... Of some of the jewelry older members of your breed used to wear... I think this is something collected from one of their tail rings... They used to have little claw-like pendants dangling from them. I could make this a normal necklace agai-" The pendant fell off the chain, and she giggled. "I could make it a normal necklace, or a tailring pendant, if you'd like. Unless you had another idea for it, of course."

Elsha diverted her attention to the golden ring when the mini-feline pointed it out. "Hmm..." She stared it for awhile, examining it with a look o slight confusion. "What's so sepecial about this?" she asked herself quietly, switching into her study mode where nothing mattered except what she was looking at.
Devlin on the other hand was irritated that the ring was the only thing deemed worthy and instantly dove at the sand again to make a new tunnel and search for more stuff. "I'll find something better then that moss cover thing!"

((Do I have to pay again for him to keep looking?))
PostPosted: Mon Mar 29, 2010 11:57 pm

(You have to pay again to search again. I'm afraid I'll have to ask for a bit more if you want to find something. Remember, the more you post, the more likely you are to find more than one item, and more rare items.)

The fae hummed, watching the dragon dive under the sand again, wondering if he'd come up with anything else. "This..." She said, having overheard Elsha's question to herself. "I can shine this up for you, or you can put it on as is, if you like it. It would make a nice bracelet, if you want to wear it that way, but it's a little thick for your tail, I think, and not big enough to go over your head. Of course... I'm sure you could trade it to others, if someone else was more interested in it. You can't attatch much to those, I'm afraid. They're awefully hard to work with."

On the other end of things, she watched for Aileena's return as she finished the necklace's build, setting it on a nearby stone so the leather tether could dry out a bit more. When Aileena returned, (Hopefully with an Uncert. XD) she'd offer to put the necklace on for the fae, to make sure it would stay in place once settled there, if she wanted to wear it.

((Uncert))

Having gathered a collection of the herbs Ailee thought would be most useful to the strange feline, the female trotted back with a few plant stock peeking out from her toes and a few more clutched in her maw. Approaching the strange feline once again, this time more confident from having an actual purpose to approach her, the light blue Saigh dropped the herbs at the other feline's feet, looking up hopefully, "I-I wasn't sure what exactly you'd want, so I found some pain stoppers and bleeding stoppers and stomach helpers and sleep helpers." She pointed to each of the plants respectively, hoping that they would be enough for the jewelry.
