The night was an important time for trainers like Faleen. Her focus was of course on dark types, so that was when her pokemon had their greater focus and energy.
Out on the field, the night is quiet, still. The darkness of the shadows drowning out much of the world, everyone was asleep; everything was tucked away in their homes. Save for the few haunting calls of the Hoothoot there was no sign of life. Just quiet, and the glow from her Umbreon’s rings, this always made her stomach churn, and her hair stand on end, the fear its aura gave off was powerful, even to someone who’s constantly around it.

But since she became a Rocket, the nights have been more… well, lively; Rocket’s seemed to be as nocturnal as they were diurnal. She had since gotten used to this, and found it rather nice. Even though allot of the other Rockets were just not pleasant to be around, that was okay though, she didn’t expect any different from them, and that made her happy.

Her boots thudded lightly against the solid ground as Faleen made her way through the halls, her hair pulled back tightly to keep it tied behind her head and out of her eyes. Twirling two pokeball in her palm, looking as if she was contemplating something troubled.
Her pace slowed however when she got closer to a training room’s doorway.
Shifting her gaze up, light brown eyes scanning in the room for a moment before she made her way inside, carelessly clicking the pokeballs to enlarge and tossing them both, one by one to release the pokemon kept inside.
Her Shuppet, instantly flitting around and shifting invisible once it was out, being carelessly free for a while, but Faleen’s attention was taken by her Umbreon, her Prize.
One looks at him and she could tell he was in no way in shape for training. He needed it, she knew she did, but since that battle with that filthy Raticate in the pit, his shoulder had been taking longer to heal then she would have liked.

Umbreon looked back to his master, ears falling back, but his face did not show any shame or fear, simply annoyance, and frustration.
“I know” Faleen muttered, shifting forward to step in front of him a little more, bending down to touch the side he was favoring. “I’ll see the infirmary for you tomorrow…” she should have done that in the first place, but she was… to embarrassed to present her pokemon in such condition, but if he can’t train, then he can’t get better.
gesturing over to one of the corners “sit and take notes” she ordered him, then turned around to face the room, holding a hand out as if gesturing something, calling out “Shuppet!” trying to get her ghost to reveal itself.

Rin was no stranger to the nocturnal ways of the Rockets. She, perhaps, was moreso than most. Her ways not only needed the dark, but encompassed it. She came without sound and left without notice. She was the ultimate of stealth and the unseen.

Except when proving her point and her pride of pokemon of the storm.

She was trained and honed in the ninjitsu skill, and coveted the power and fleetfulness of storms. It was like lightning that she lived and moved, arriving without forewarning and leaving just as quickly.

Today, however, she wasn't moving so quickly. Just watching.

Silently. Creepily. Stalker-like.

The mask which she wore over her face masked not only her expression and most of her face, darkening her complexion, but also her breath- nigh silencing it. Rin stood to the right of the doorway of the training room, tucked into a corner near a large boulder of the earthy arena, hidden from immediate view. That is, immediate view of the human. She expected- a sign of her experience- that the ghostly pokemon she had seen wink in and out of existance, or the umbreon headed to a corner of his own, would eventually spot her or sniff her out.

Nails was, of course, present. He spent ninety percent of his time out of his pokeball. He didn't like being cooped up. Lightning simply.. can't be constrained. He wasn't yet evolved. Storms had to build in intensity before releasing their wrath. The shimmering electric stone in Rin's back pocket was heavy, but like everything in life, the right time had to come. The little silver ball of fluff was dirty of course, dingy and full of dirt between every strand of fur. It was with much chagrin that he was born so light in color. It was only with much effort that he kept his hue toned down and indiscrete. He, too, was huddled against the rock- motionless. It hadn't been long since Rin left her family's dojo that she'd stolen Nails from his well-to-do home, so he had quickly picked up on her strange mannerisms from her life-long training.

Rin didn't reveal herself to Faleen. Rather, she waited for a more appropriate moment, or earlier, should she perhaps be flushed out. It was a bad habit of hers to sneak up upon everyone, including all of her 'coworkers'.

The Grunt waited patiently as her Shuppet returned to her. His waving body rippling as he spun back into view over his master’s hand.
“Good” was all she replied.
Completely unaware that there was anyone else in the room, she reached down to pick up something attached to the belt over her thigh. What looked like to be a mechanical orb, But when she reached out to pluck at it, she pulled out a long string, allowing her to swing the orb around in the air.
It switched on when this happened, making a low humming noise as it blinked and whizzed in circles over her head.
Instantly the Shuppet drifted away from the humming, its playful nature vanishing as it looked quite serious, and almost worrisome.
Upon moving back, Faleen twitched her wrist at the right time, and with a deeper howl as the ord got very close to Shuppet’s skirt. She muttered some instruction to the Shuppet who seemed to become more confident.

Umbreon watched his master and his fellow pokemon for a while, though his gaze would shift to one side of the room every now and then, each time his muzzle would wrinkle.
He knew someone else was here, even if he couldn’t see them, he didn’t know who, and he couldn’t exactly tell where. None of that would matter. But what troubled him most, is why they were keeping themselves hidden, what were they planning.

Shuppet gave an alarmed cry when he didn’t swish out of the way quick enough, the ball, while going through him, let out and energy that knocked the Ghost type a distance away. Though he returned, not looking hurt, only more determined.

Rin, who had just wanted to see the training techniques used by a fellow Rocket, became quickly intrigued by this particular style. It was no more than her nature to stay hidden until fully aware of the situation and potential danger, and soon enough she shifted herself to sit atop the large boulder. Her posture was not at all threatening, but relaxed. As if sitting on a sofa and watching television.

Nails hopped off the rock when Rin's need for stealth diminished. He shook, a cloud of dusty powder creating a slight cloud around his somewhat silver-y form.

"What do you call that little device?" Rin's voice was crystal clear, and she spoke with a boldness that normal people only use when the other person is aware of their presence. She shifted a leg upwards to bend a knee and place an elbow upon it, resting her chin. Her face was entirely covered aside from her eyes with a black mask and hood, highly traditional of her training.. and her actions. Her cape spilled around her, creating a secondary- and perhaps slightly ominous- shadow.

But her personality shown by her voice was nothing less than amiable. Nails, on the other hand, disliked most things, and both long dirty ears pricked upwards as he stared towards the Umbreon, curiously but silently.

She had been completely unaware of another person in the room, believe she was alone with her pokemon, so the sudden voice from behind her caused the grunt to jump in surprise with a small yelp. losing concentration of the device she was swinging.
the string tensed as it flew up into the air, lost momentum, and with a 'clunk' the string slacked and the ball came down falling right onto Faleen's head
"Owww" Faleen ducked her head a little, reaching up to rub the spot that had just been hit, letting the device dangle in her hand next to her.

with a small frown, more from embarrassment, Faleen turned to look at where she had heard the voice from.
she hesitated for a while when she caught sight of another girl in the room, though... she couldn't make out much from her, she was dressed... well... like a Ninja.
"oh... I though I was alone in here"

Umbreon narrowed his eyes when the one that had been hiding finally came out. scoffing lightly through his nose, seeing the Eevee looking over at him.

One of Rin's eyes closed in what was most likely a grimace as Faleen was bopped in the head by her training device. Her face mask also wrinkled slightly, showing perhaps a grin under there. Whether it was apologetic or not was up for debate.

"That's what I like to hear." Was her only response for a moment or so to the concept that the other Rocket thought she was alone. She hadn't missed that her question hadn't yet been answered, but she let it drop for now. "Pokemon are more perceptive, though. It's much harder to evade their senses in such an open room."

Nails let his ears dip back slightly at the Umbreon's reaction. His curious expression turned into more of a testing glowering, and his head lowered with increasing intensity as well.

"When I saw your Shuppet, I wanted to see how one could possibly train such a flitful creature.. if one can call a ghost such." Her voice wandered off as she seemed to wonder about that concept. Despite her dark nature, the girl herself seemed relatively cheerful, with a cold edge to her tone.

A fleeting glance followed Nail's glance to the Umbreon, which she observed for a moment before looking back to Faleen. "That one looks left out. Do they not like to train together?"
