 After the tremors, when the people of Iwa had managed to start with the recovery of the village, their houses had to be rebuilt. This is now where most of the shinobi of the village live at. Several apartments and houses, built from the brute rocks of the mountain, more resistant than the old apartment buildings, and surely with more space.

 Kai Nara|Nara Clan|Chunnin|Iwagakure! Kai walked into her own home and sighed, she was tired and hungry as she plopped onto the couch and fell asleep quickly. After resting up Kai got some soba from the fridge and ate it cold, wondeirng why the use-to-be rock village is now the weakest of all the villages, she had no idea where Kaze was and missed the first Tsuchikage and Zin. She finally got rested and full of food so she packed her backpack and moved out, she was going back to leaf.

Tosatsu walked into his apartment and closed the door. Dropping his staff by the door, he quickly unhooked his harness and satchel, leaving them there as well. Fishing through his pack for a moment he pulled out a shirt, dyed red with blood from earlier. Carrying that with him he headed into the bathroom, and tossed it, along with the clothes he was wearing, into the wash. With that done, he hopped into the bath to clean himself up as well.

 Konaga ShinjiIwagakure| Konaga Clan | Genin About half way to the housing area, Shinji's initial adrenaline rush from receiving the headband had worn off and the pain had once again caught up to him. Stopping him completely for a minute, Shinji closed his eyes and bore with the pain as he wanted nothing more then to meditate and escape it all, yet was temporarily paralyzed by exhaustion. Finally, after enduring the wave of strange emotion, Shinji found the energy to begin moving once more, albeit at a slower pace as he walked through the familiar paths.
Having been alone for so long, Shinji had forgotten what it was like to see children playing, to see others simply going about their business with smiles on their faces. Several even waved to Shinji, probably only responding to his new headband as he would now be acknowledged as an integral part of the village. After a thorough walk full of people watching, Shinji finally came upon the Shinobi houses once again, navigating through the complexes to find what used to be his old house when he was an academy student. Coming up to the house, Shinji wasn't sure if there was anyone inside, but after giving the door a few knocks, he opened the door with a creak before realizing no one was in.
In fact, it didn't look like anyone had been in there for a long time either, as it was quite dusty... but just the way he remembered it. Not really wanting anything more then to meditate, Shinji ignored the desheveled mess for the time being and moved to the bedroom where he found a futon still rolled up in one of the closets. Beating the dust out of it, Shinji set it on the floor before sitting on it, crossing his legs comfortably beneath him before placing his hands together in a seal of concentration. It would be about 2 hours before he would be in a deep meditative state and able to truly rest, but even just this beginning part was a relief to his tired and aching body. he had after all, had a rather busy day on his first day back.

Konaga ShinjiIwagakure| Konaga Clan | Genin As first light began to seep into the room, Shinji was still deep in his meditative state, the only true form of rest a Konaga could ever achieve. As he sat motionless, his hands still locked in a meditation seal, an aura glowed brightly around him like a flowing white sea of energy. He would seem completely at peace, as in fact he was. His mind was perfectly still, his body no longer gripped by an ever present agony as he was finally free to live free of pain. It was a fleeting moment however, as hours of meditation felt like only minutes of freedom in his dreams.
As the light flowed into the room, the aura suddenly began to pulsate and grow violent, licking off of him like an electrical current, or an angry sea filled with rage before it forced itself back into his body. Shinji awoke with a jerk as he fell out of his meditation, instantly putting his arms to the floor to stabilize him as his body shifted from tranquility to chaos. Feeling the familiar pain push into his body once more was always jarring, but it soon smoothed out to the simple, baseline pain a Konaga would never be without. With a deep sigh, Shinji got up but was quick to form a smile across his face to the new day. after yesterday's events, he already felt stronger, as if the training with Kano-sensei had scraped off the rust which had settled over him in his travels.
Feeling a new energy and spirit fill him, Shinji hurriedly ran around the house, bathing, grooming, and dressing quickly in a house which, though dusty, still contained the basics necessities of water and bath at the very least. Grabbing some trail rations which he had grown accustomed to eating on his travels, Shinji munched on them quickly as he opened the door, fastening his headband to the comfortable position hanging loosely around his neck... staring at the bright morning before him. Kano-sensei had said that his training would continue today 'in earnest'... and Shinji was prepared for anything. His belly full and his spirit renewed, Shinji closed his eyes and breathed in the morning air deeply before opening his eyes once more with determination and readiness for the day's training... "Alright...", he said to himself as he closed the door behind him, ready to speed off to the training grounds "Let's do this."

Kai Nara|Nara Clan|Chunnin|Iwagakure! Kai entered her house and let out a final big yawn before closing the door shut and dropping her bag down. Not sleeping for a week really wore out somebody. Kai dragged her exhausted body to her comfortable couch and plopped down on it falling asleep before she could say 'Too tired'.

Kai Nara|Nara Clan|Chunnin|Iwagakure! Kai woke up in the morning as she yawned and flipped her body to slam onto the ground and rub her eyes. "Morning already? Sheesh." She said, getting up and shaking her head to fix her short hair. "Yawnnn." Kai quickly changed her clothes put on her wierd type of collar she wore. "Better get ths damn whatever it's called, community service thing? Over with." She said and walked out taking a apple and heading to the best place to find genin.

Tarra Walks into her house and looks into the mirror and smiles. She felt more confident now. "Good bye robe," She mutters and grabs all her robes. She bundles them up and chucks them into the fire place. She then stands in front of the mirror and ties up her hair to see if she looked better. She did. --------------------------------------------------------- Tarrra, awakening from a deep slumber, opened her eyes to reveal the deep crimson shade. Opening her mouth to yawn, she closed her perfectly tinted eyes and stretched her arms out into the air. It was morning already? It felt as if she had just dozed off. But no matter it was time to train. She put her arms to her side and pushed her body into a supported siting position. "Uhhhh.... So tired," Sher muttered and swung her legs to the side of her bed. Standing up, she slipped her feet into her pink bunny slippers and grabbed a lavender bathrobe. IN a drowsy, Half-foot-shuffle Half-step walk she inched her way to the bathroom. Once inside she closed the door and flicked the lock. She took of her bathroom and slippers and sat them on the counter, then she stepped into the hot bath that was always ready and available. After several minutes of soaking her body in the bath, she added several lavender-scented bath beads. She undid her hair from the curly bun that she had so done last night. After placing the bobbie pins and hair bands onto the floor next to the bath, she placed her head under the water and began working out the knots.
After rinsing her body and conditioning and shampooing her hair, She stepped out of her bath and grabbed the silk towel on the silver rack next to her. She rubbed the towel over her body and cleaned the soft fluids from her pale skin. When she was done drying her body, She wrapped the towel around her hair and grabbed her slippers and bath robe. Into the main room again, she grabbed a cute white button up top and a short pink skirt. She slipped on underwear and then her skirt, then she grabbed a bra and slipped it on. She undid her hair from the towel and tied it up into a bun. She grabs her shirt and slips it over her head and adds a cute, pink clip-on-tie to her shirt. "Looking good." She says and winks into the mirror. "Now for the final Touch," She says and skips over to her night stand where her headband rests. She takes the strap and ties it into a not behind her neck. "I'm so happy I'm finally a genin," She mutters and heads out the door towards the training grounds.

Konaga ShinjiIwagakure| Konaga Clan | GeninApproaching the client's house, Shinji walked up to the doorstep and closed his eyes, breathing deeply as he mentally prepared for the mission. A cat had gone missing, and it was up to him to track it down and return it, but first, he had to gather information on the cat. This client was infamous however, and even as an Academy student, he had heard of the nightmare this cat/client could be. regardless however, he was here now and was ready to go. "Alright Shinji, no wussing out, it's time to do this, no fear!", finally steeling his resolve, Shinji rang the doorbell and was prepared for whatever may come. No sooner had he pulled his hand back from the ringer, then did the door fly open to reveal an incredibly heavy set woman who, after taking one look at Shinji, launched herself forward to hug him!
[Mission: Catch the Cat (1/5)]
"OH DEAR GOD NO!" Words could not clearly or accurately convey Shinji's thoughts as the woman latched onto him, pulling him directly between her disgustingly large breasts as she wept and cried for Shinji's help... "OH THANK YOU YOUNG NINJA! MR.CUDDLES HAS GONE MISSING!... YOU MUST FIND HIM! I'VE EVEN JUST GIVEN HIM A NEW PURPLE BOW! WHY DID HE RUN AWAY?!!? WHY?!!?!? " Could Shinji have even gotten a word to form, he could have told the woman exactly why the cat ran away, but to try to open his mouth would invite god knows what past his lips, so for the first time in his life, Shinji closed his eyes and focused on the pain of his bloodline, reveling in it's agony as a worthy distraction from the situation. Luckily for him, Shinji soon felt himself dropped to the ground, his pain having lifted his mind from experiencing the woman as she continued to weep and wail about her cat. Finally, she had released him and gone back into the house crying and Shinji could be on his way to start the mission. "Note to self: Take extra long bath tonight... in acid. Just to be safe."

Konaga ShinjiIwagakure| Konaga Clan | GeninTriumphantly returning to the house, Shinji rang the bell once more, but this time, made sure to hold the flailing cat out as a shield between him and the woman. As if she had been waiting at the door, the woman frantically through it open as a moment transpired between she and the cat that Shinji could only regrettably relate to. As if totally demoralized, the cat lost it's spirit as it fell limp in Shinji's arm, the woman immediately lunging forward to grab the cat and pull it into her chest, hugging it tightly. "OH MR.CUDDLES! YOU CAME BACK AFTER ALL! THANK YOU MR. NINJA! I'LL BE SURE TO LET THE TSUCHIKAGE KNOW OF YOUR WONDERFUL WORK!" With that, the woman slammed the door as Shinji couldn't help but feel bad for the cat. However, he didn't feel too bad in knowing it was one more mission down! "Alright! Mission Accomplished, now on to the next one. there's no way anything could ever be as bad as that one was."

Konaga ShinjiIwagakure| Konaga Clan | GeninHaving completed the mission he had feared the most, Shinji showed no fear at all as he moved on to the next one on the list that he had seen. The client had advertised the need for some help in cleaning up their apartment. Why they couldn't do it themselves, Shinji wouldn't really understand, but hey... it was getting him one step closer to the Chuunin exams, so it didn't bother him. Walking up to the client's house, Shinji waited patiently at the door, putting on a friendly smile as he heard the door slowly open. "Hello ma'am, I'm here to cl--" shinji's line was quickly cut off as he was forced to bend very suddenly and very quickly backwards to avoid the slap that was coming his way. As the hand passed by his face, Shinji suddenly recognized not only the familiar situation as he had just barely dodged the attack by a centimeter, but also the woman who had thrown it. It was the same one who had accused him of peeping on her friend when Shinji had accidentally walked in on the friend dressing. "Oh c'mon.... seriously? It had to be this girl, out of ALL THE OTHERS in the village...."
[Mission: Clean the Apartment (1/3)]
"YOU!" the girl screamed as she pointed at Shinji, poking him rather hard in the chest as he pushed forward and got directly in his face. "Just what the hell do you think YOU'RE doing here?" Feeling her finger slowly move side to side, Shinji felt a slight p***k on his skin from the girl's nails, but as a Konaga, it hardly registered at all due to the numbing... "Relax! I'm the genin who is supposed to help you clean your apartment! so do you want my help or not?" Not waiting for a response, Shinji pushed her arm out of the way and walked past her into the apartment as he looked around. It was utterly trashed and there were clear signs of a party within the room. "What?... no one invited me?". The girl quickly shoved Shinji aside as she wore an angered look on her face, but seemed not to be kicking him out. "Hmmmph, as if I would invite some pervert! Just get started and pick up all the trash." Shinji complied quickly, but with a heavy sigh at her accusation. there were dirty glasses, plates of food, papers, and cartons, and all manner of trash lying around... all signs of quite a crazy party, but with no help afterwards in cleaning up. Shinji decided to clear the plates first, picking them all up into a stack before walking to the kitchen to place them in the sink, setting them down with a few clinks and clanks before heading back to the other room.
[Mission: Clean the Apartment (2/3)]
"Look, I told you, it was an accident. The owner of the hot springs had hired me to do some work and grab the hammer from one of the back rooms. How the heck was i suppose to know your friend was changing back there? If I was gonna peep, wouldn't it make more sense to check, oh, I don't know... the girl's locker room?" continuing his job as he spoke, Shinji had by this time picked up most of the trash and managed to place it in a pile as he saw the client come over with a trash bag, throwing it at him as she turned and walked away, obviously not buying his story, despite that it was the truth. "Hmmph, a person like you WOULD know the best way to peek. Just finish cleaning and get out." With another deep sigh, shinji tossed all of the trash into the bag as he walked around, collecting more of it until almost nothing was left. already, the apartment looked livable again, but some of the furniture was out of place. tying the bag closed, shinji began to move the furniture around until it was i it's proper orientation, before picking up the bag and heaving it over his shoulder, being careful not to catch it on the edge of his sword... "Fine, believe what you want. Glad I could help. Call ANYTIME!" with that, Shinji left, closing the door behind him as he brought the trash to the front of the house where it would be picked up just like at his place and walked off to do his next mission. "With my luck, next up will be the one I walked in on..."

Konaga ShinjiIwagakure| Konaga Clan | GeninQuickly exiting from his last job, Shinji moved on to the next from the list he had seen, remembering that there was a client who had asked for someone to get him some ramen. If his memory served, the man wasn't actually located too far from where he was at the moment in the Shinobi Houses area, so Shinji made his way over quickly. Coming up to the house he believe was the old man's, Shinji knocked a few times at the door, but received no response at all. After a minute, he had assumed that he was at the wrong house and was turning to leave when he heard the door finally open. "Eh... who's there?... Don't lie!... I aint some young whippersnapper unable to fend off an attack, I was a ninja too once ya know! Now spill it!... where's my milk?" shinji stood for a few seconds not really knowing what to do with the seemingly random sentences coming from the man, but he turned back around the face him and respond anyways. "Hello sir, my name is Shinji. You entered a request for Ramen with the Kage and I am here to perform the mission for you?" ... "Hmmm?!?! Ramen did you say? well why didn't you say so earlier!... Yes, yes... back in my day I'd eat it all the time, but now, I find that when I make my way over there, the store always seems to be closed. I talked to the kage and she keeps telling me that the restaurant closes before midnight, but I say it's not my fault they close so early! I only left my house at 9:00... 3 hours. Youngins these days, not made of the iron us old folks are constructed with. But yes, back to ramen... A LARGE BOWL! with extra everything, and extra noodles. Don't forget the extra noodles. Yes, yes... Ramen sounds good. where's my milk?" the man's words stuttered off at the end, but Shinji was lucky enough to not have to worry about the milk question again as the old man had quickly closed the door behind him. "Alright then... time to get to the Ramen shop."
[Mission: Ramen Pickup (1/3)]
With a spring in his step, Shinji quickly ran off to the ramen shop, the aromatic smells of the stand reaching him as he got closer to it. It was unfortunate to him that despite his fully functioning nose, his taste buds would never be able to experience what the nose was able to smell. It was just another of the little benefits of his bloodline that anything he ate tasted like nothing... his bloodline's chakra and constant pain having numbed his tongue to the more delicate senses, leaving him unable to taste food. Coming up to the counter, Shinji sat down to wait for the owner until a large man came up in front of him holding a small pad of paper and a pencil... "What'll it be kid?" ... "One large bowl of Ramen with extra everything, and extra noodles as well. Oh, and can I get it to go? the order isn't actually for me, it's for an old man back a---" ... 'Yeah, yeah... that's Izuru's order. I'd know it anywhere. He's the only one who would say 'Extra everything' and then stipulate 'Extra noodles' as if, 'everything' somehow didn't include noodles. It'll be right up for you in a few minutes." Waiting patiently, Shinji took out a kunai and was twirling the tool around his finger by the loop, amusing himself as he could until the owner placed the order on the table ready to go. "Thanks. Hey, I didn't think of this before, but what's the cost?" ... "Don't worry about it kid, Izuru is taken care of. when you've served the village as a ninja for as long as he did, you've earned your right to be taken care of thereafter." Bowing politely, Shinji took the order in hand and began to make his way back to Izuru's house.
[Mission: Ramen Pickup (2/3)]
As Shinji walked back to the shinobi houses, he was just about ready to call this the easiest mission he'd ever take when he was suddenly ambushed by a mysterious figure who had jumped out from around the corner of a house, running at him with a bokken in hand. With the ramen and food taken up both of his arms, Shinji really had nothing to do but dodge as he watched the bokken fly dangerously close to his face, Shinji just barely dodging the strike as he shifted his weight around to balance the food at the same time so as not to spill it. The assailant seemed fervent in his attack as he raised his training sword and charged once more before stopping suddenly, sniffing the air before removing his mask to reveal himself... "Smells like RAMEN with extra everything AND Extra noodles!" Shinji was shocked to see the old man again and looked insanely confused as he took the order from Shinji and sat down to eat it right where he was, digging into the ramen voraciously. "Ah yes, I remember the old days, all those silly missions around the village. Little did I understand just how important those were. Ninja have lost there way nowadays, always looking for fighting and action when there is plenty to do at home. Thank you kindly young ninja... go make an old foggie proud!' Smiling warmly at the old man's antics, Shinji turned on his heels without saying another word and went off to finish his next mission, spurred on by knowing that which each one and he came closer and closer to qualifying for the exams.
