Unyezi paced her den, bored. She sighed, wondering what to do. Darn it, this is the second time I've been bored. Literally. She continuned her pacing for a while, and then a brillant idea hit her: she could go vist Eros! She bounded out of her den, and started looking for her friend, when she realized she didn't know where he lived. Well then, I guess I'll just run around till I find him...

Eros's eyes flashed open. He was trembling; he had just had a horrible nightmare. The light pouring into the den surprised him, and he flinched, blinking his eyes several times to adjust. He flung his mane into his eyes to shield them. He hated the sun. It was way to bright for him, he preferred dark and shadowy places. He walked out of his den. Maybe Unyezi can show me around the pride more... Eros thought to himself. He started wandering, looking for the black and neon-colored lioness. After a few minutes Eros let his mind start to wander, not really paying attention to his surroundings. He smacked right into a large stone, yelping in pain and cursing under his breath. "Maybe I'm starting to hang out with Unyezi a little to much, I'm starting to act like her." He laughed to himself.

Unyezi's ears perked up when she heard a yelp of pian, followed by a comment about becoming too much like her. She grinned, thinking, Well, that was easy. So much for my perfected plan of running around... She trotted around a corner and into a small tunnel in the caves. There was Eros, and by the looks of it he hadn't seen the turn and ran strait into the wall. "New to running into things, huh? You did it wrong. You're supposed to run head-first into the stone while sprinting, hit the stone, crumple like a dry leaf, pass out for three days, and then lose your memory. In order. Not that I would reccomend trying, of course."

Eros laughed as he saw Unyezi appear. "I guess that's what I get for always having my bangs in my eyes, I was bound to run into something. I just wish that something wouldn't have left me with a lump on my head." he said still laughing. Unyezi was really the only lioness in Suka'Fumo that he even knew. He was glad he didn't have to worry about her murderous past anymore. Eros had become very paranoid, always thinking a homicidal creature was lurking in his shadow. "So, do you want to show me more of the pride today?"

Unyezi laughed with Eros. "Yea, well, at least you didn't black out!" Unyezi began to think about -not for the first time- what she had done to Eros before she had hit her head. "Yes; I want to show you the Groundlings!" Unyezi said. She hesitated for a moment, then asked, "Um... Do you mind me asking what I did to you before I hit my head?" There, I finally said it. The question had been nawing at her for days, but she hadn't wanted to stress Eros out.

As soon as Unyezi asked the question his gaze fell to his feet and his smile disappeared. Eros really didn't want to tell her. He didn't even want to think of the old Unyezi anymore. Eros sighed. He knew he had to tell the lioness of her past, no matter how terrible it was. If I lost my memory, I'd want to know what I was like before. He thought to himself. "You killed everyone I knew and everyone I ever met. I rather not go into detail about it." He said very quietly, his voice thick with sorrow. "Let's go see the Groundlings now."

Unyezi regretted asking when Eros stopped smiling. Her eyes widened when he said it. No... She couldn't have done that. Could she? Her mind went blank with shock. Unyezi wanted to run, far away to someplace where her newly discovered past wouldn't be able to haunt her as she knew it would. "Kita, no." She wispered. As much as Unyezi wanted to turn around and run, she knew she had to face what she had done.
"Eros... I'm sorry." Unyezi felt guilty she couldn't do anything more to show how horrible she felt about her past. Oh Na'lra, thank you for letting me start over.

Eros stared into Unyezi's eyes. He really wished she hadn't asked about her past. Her eyes showed complete shock. "You shouldn't apologize, Unyezi. You're not the same lioness anymore." Eros said quietly. He hated talking about the past. It always brought up horrible memories that he hated to be reminded of. Eros dropped his gaze to the ground and he started to think about his family. He was enveloped in sorrow instantly. Eros realized he was shaking and immediately pulled himself out of his thoughts and steadied himself.

Unyezi stared back. "Yes, I should. I might not be the same lioness, but I still need to apologize." she said it slowly, like he might not understand her. She could tell by the way he was shaking that he was probably having horrible memories come back to haunt him. When he dropped his gaze, she could see he was shaking. Unyezi nuzzled his head to show him her sympathy. "Lets go see the groundlings."

A small smile danced its way onto Eros's face."You still shouldn't apologize." He said softly as nuzzled Unyezi back. He really cared for the lioness and just wanted to completely forget about their past and just move on. Eros prayed she wouldn't bring up too many questions about her past. He wouldn't be able to stand it "Now Unyezi, where do the Groundlings even live?"

Unyezi smiled when she saw Eros's spirit's lift. It was great to know that she had such a good friends, and that he wasn't holding a grudge. "I won't argue, but I still think that I should." She pulled away. "They live in the forest you passed through on your way to the caves. Follow me." Unyezi began walking to the path that led down to the forest.

Eros walked alongside Unyezi, his mood lifting more every step they took closer to the forest. He had been very curious about the Groundlings, and now that that he was being given a chance to learn more about them he could probably burst with excitement. Eros had always loved to learn, and in this pride there was so much to learn about. As they walked into the shadowy forest, almost all of Eros' muscles relaxes in an instant. He always felt extremely more comfortable when he was out of the blinding sunlight.
"What are the Groundlings like?" he asked. Eros wanted to know more about the Groundlings before he met them.

Unyezi was glad when she saw Eros relax. It seriously disturbed her that she had ever killed anyone. She could easily hold her own in a fight, but kill someone? Not even one, but a whole family? That just... wasn't right. Everything dimmed suddenly, making Unyezi look up. They were in forest now.
"Well, they're very... Free, if you know what I mean. They don't care about status, laws, or anything of the sort. They're very fun to be around, and there is almost always some sort of entertainment."

Eros glanced around the forest. He caught the scent of a rabbit racing away from Unyezi and him and saw a bird hiding itself in the branches of a enormous tree. Oddly Eros saw no sign of any lions. "Where are the Groundlings?" Eros asked as he saw something very shiny in a nearby bush.
He tried to resist his curiosity and not go chasing after the glistening object like a fool, but horribly failed. Eros darted for the bush, his curiosity consuming him (for the millionth time). He struggled with the scraggly bush for a few minutes trying to steal the thing that was sparkling so beautifully. After receiving multiple scratches from the stubborn bush, he walked back towards Unyezi, the item firmly setting between his jaws. He set the mysterious object on the forest floor so he and Unyezi could determine what it was.
The thing was a strange shaped stone that was a variety of colors, a deep blood red, a blinding blue, and the entire stone was speckled with tiny pink and purple crystals. "This is awesome!" he exclaimed, feeling like a kit that just accomplished the feat of running faster than his fellow siblings.

Unyezi shrugged, unconcerned. "They've probably found something to amuse them. News of that travels fast down here, so any who don't feel like going must be in their dens."
She cocked her head just a a bit when Eros ran to the bush, from the looks of it attempting to get something out from under it. When he emerged from his struggle with the bush, something sparkly- Wait a minute, was that a rock?- clamped in his jaws, she grinned.
"You could give it to the crafters and they could turn it into something for you to wear." she said to her friend, who now resembled an excited cub.
