I really don't have anything to offer to this guild, since all I ever do is beg for feedback and give none back. Not decided yet, but a heads up for if I randomly disappear.

I give feedback but I never post my art on here. *shrugs*

Seriously, does it matter? The point of this guild is to improve and to help others improve. You can choose one side or both, no one is going to attack you for only asking/giving feedback. Ultimately it's your choice whether you want to leave or not, but I really don't see a problem.

I just feel I'm more trouble than good. What I really need is someone that can help me in person, but the soonest I can get that is September when I go to collage.

At least the one side you choose helps people out, I just randomly post crap because I never get feedback unless I ask for it.

I've barely posted here in the guild, I've only asked for criticism once, and critiqued here only once or twice as well, but I can tell you that you shouldn't feel like you're trouble. Feeling like you're trouble for asking for criticism in an environment like this, an environment which wants to see people improve and welcomes those of all skill levels to find out ways to improve is bizzare. Sometimes all you might get is an asspat or two and no critique, but the critique that comes by can help out.

I've seen you're art. Honestly, I'm not much for it (not saying I hate it though), but you ARE making the strives to improve, and as long as you experiment more and more, you'll go even further and do nicely. Just try to experiment with other stuff besides pencil and computer coloring programs. These days I'm experimenting with Sharpies, trying to improve linework and, well, use less lines when drawing something. Also, make sure you have some kind of decent skill with other art styles besides anime before trying for college. I'm sure you've heard people preach on and on about how art colleges hate anime with a passion.

Oh, and what's this stuff about September being the closest thing to extra help? BS! Find an outside art class mang! There has to be one in your area. Do the research and find out where one is. Honestly, I took a weekly art class in Grade 12, 2 hours every Wednesday night, and I learned so much more from it than I could have taught myself with tutorials and other stuff (of course tutorials and books helped me out a bit as well).

Case in point, keep posting art here. You have more chance of people helping you out here than on you're Deviantart account.

I have looked all around, and there isn't any form of class or anything else I can go to until collage. And I do try a lot of other styles besides manga, it's just the main thing I do, although it's starting to turn more western than manga lately.

I'm still unsure, I guess I'll stick around for a while more. I just always hate when I'm in something and don't have a way to give back.

And pencil and computer is all I have access to right now. As soon as I can I may be able to take a painting class a friend of mine holds, but I will have to be done with school for that. She lives about an hour away.

You DO have a way to give back mang. You say your issue is begging for feedback and giving none in return, and you feel you can't do anything about that? I'm noticing a logic error here...

...Maybe you could, you know, give your input to people on their artwork?! Come on brah, don't be afraid to give your two cents on something. Don't feel you need to be able to draw like Kupo, Potemkin, JuneBerry, etc to be able to give critique and feedback. You don't even need to be an artist.

You currently have access to only a pencil and computer drawing? Is there an art shop or office supply depot in your town? Unless you live in the sticks or something, do some shopping. If you really want to improve, you won't be hesitant to acquire new supplies to try something new. Like I told you, all I did was buy some cheap sharpies and started playing with them for the sake of experimentation, and you can get sharpies almost anywhere. Office supply depots even have pens with multiple sizes (0.1 tips, 0.5 tips, etc) so take a look there.

As for styles, might I make a suggestion? Try representing characters you know in styles you would NEVER normally see them as. For instance, you know Hatsune Miku right? Try drawing that little CPU idol as if she were something out of Ren and Stimpy.

When I can get some cash I will, but for now it's all pencils.
