I have a copy of the Win 7 evaluation, which is due to expire in March.
Come march first my computer is going to shut down every 2 hours as a gentle reminder that I owe windows 200 dollars.
My computer has been shutting down constantly due to hardware issues so I'm thinking I won't even notice, but I digress. I now need to decide if I want to suck it up and pay 200 (or maybe only 100~ if I qualify for an 'upgrade') or if I want to say screw you windows and look into a Linux OS. The only problem with that? WoW doesn't have a client for the Linux platform, so I'd have to do some fancy footwork to get it to operate at all, and there are varying reports on whether or not it will end up working smoothly.

I'm still running Windows XP. >.> Can you revert back to what you were running before you got the trial version of Windows 7?
And is it any good? I remember reading pretty good reviews...

I had vista previously, and yes it did suck. Win 7 is pretty good. It does what I want and that's what I want.
I haven't heard of Symbian before. I'll look into it.
Edit: Symbian is a mobile OS. I don't it's suited for the heavier lifting a desktop OS is supposed to do.

Yah, the clock is ticking for me too. And do I get Home,. Ultimate or Professional? I do quite like it though, it's shiny, but also responsive.

Unless you're doing work with professional networks or servers I'd just get the home edition.
I ended up installing ubuntu. It has some quirks that are pissing me off already, but like every new thing you have to get used to it first. I don't know if I'll stick with it.
