Anybobdy else Tired of this?
It just, this is my second year in high school and I was really exicited because I heard about all these new christians in our school, and I was sure it would be a better place.
How did I come to figure this out? Our teacher last year has us do a project on our lifes and almost everyone metioned there religion was christianty, amazing right? (and yes, I go a public school, and its normally not the BEST ONE either)
Im sorry, If some of you find this insluting but.
They have all been acting, in what I like to call, "fakes" lately.
They tell us there christians one minute, and how often they go to church
But when it comes down to it, they just end up doing the opposite
They still poke fun at others who practice christianty
All they ever talk about it is gross stuff like, how many girls one of them had sex with last night, or that they are so exicted that they cheated on there girlfriends.
I mean, deep down, these are nice people, because ive talked to them before, so nothing against them.
But honestly, and you can check this. From the moment I got saved, I startted reading my bible every night, and posting scriputure virses on how great jesus is now that ive discovered him, but because of people like them, its gone. I dont even know why, it just all disappeared, I startted cussing more then I used to, and saying mean things, ive lost control of my temper and im starttting to scare myself.
But its really not as bad as it seems, really.
I mean, does anybody else noticing this lately or having the same problems I am lately?
Sorry I havent been posting in here lately, but I think the last time I posted in a guild like this, for chirstians, they were all really mean and telling me Im not good enough and everything...(] smile it got me all depressed and junk. help?

That's how most the world is, i'd say about 90% of Christians i meet... aren't. Sure they go to church every Sunday, and some will even mention being christian outside of church, but they aren't. Their parents were christian and they've been going to church all their lives, and they've got it all figured out; go to church once a week, say your christian, pray for forgiveness often, and live your life however you want with no regard to your once a week obligation to religion.
I figured all this out when i was still in middles school, and during eighth grade i stopped attending my parents church because of this, all my 'friends' i would see in church and then at school, it just made me sad for them really. I started going to church a couple towns over (i lived in a very small county, by a couple towns i really the town next to the town next to us, but its more like the across the city if you want to think of it that way) and at this church, the pastor was more on fire for Jesus, and everyone who went to this small church truly knew what it means to be christian. Since I have moved away I still keep in good contact with the pastor, because he's a really good friend, and all the friends i made at that church are closer than any relationships i had made previously, except for my family.
My advice for you Hugs, is to find out who is actually christian, and ignore any of those fakes, don't get me wrong I have a lot of non christian friends, but none of them claim to be christian, and even they can tell the difference between me and the 'fakes' as you put it

I'm sorry but what I bolded in your post makes you seem very hypocritical. How can you be upset at others for acting like fake Christians when you can't even control your own temper or your own language. Now I'm sorry that you're experiencing a hard time as a Christian. However if you joined Christianity because you wanted an easy religion then you joined the wrong religion. Christianity isn't about easy. Christianity is about going against the grain, about standing up for what's right in the world. Jesus said people will hate you because of me. There are going to be fakes in any religion. It's the responsibility's of the people in those religions to surpass it and make the best. I'm sorry if I'm being harsh. But that's how I see things Edited: Don't take this as me being mean. I feel as though what you need now is love, and maybe a hug! We all stray! We all have hard times! We can't always be perfect, that's God! But we can try some times, and that's what's best for us. As Christians we enter through seasons in which we are tested. our decisions dictate whether or not we will grow as Christians. Trust me, you aren't the only one to experience issues like this. You won't be the last either. I have gone through the same issues recently. It is dangerous to become a christian of convenience though. We are meant to be set apart, to be in the world and not of it. Each one of us will hit a point though, where we stray into the world. Some of us will hit these points may times in our lives. It is through these struggles that we can grow. It is also our place not to judge others. We have no right to judge them. We have not been placed above them. The only thing to do, is pray for them. Calling people fakes doesn't mean anything except that they do not follow the cookie cutter shape that you have come up with. We all have our issues. If you really looked at everyone's faults and decided if they were christian or not based on their downfalls, we would all be fakes, even you. I'm sorry but that's the way it is. God has given us the ability to look past faults though. It's called Love. No one is ever going to change for the better through hate and judgment so the only things left to be done are 1. "Love you neighbor as yourself" (this includes forgiving them) and 2. maintain self control and your relationship with God. Through these you can set an example for those who fall behind.
I struggle with this problem too much of the time. It is through these trials though that my faith has increased. It is through these that yours shall too.

Well i think its because everyone thinks by saying that "Jesus come into my heart and orgive me of my sins" thats their "Get Out of Hell Free Card". When in reality its more then just asking the Lord into your heart you must change your ways altogether. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! - 2 Corinthians 5:17Now i understand about the part of picking up the language of your friends and thats normal. If you dwell with those type of ppl you will become as those ppl. Now am I saying you should drop your friends altogether? No, of course not...just pick your friends wisely! ^_^ 8For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light

I was like that. Then I faced difficulties and after that, I wanted to give my life to God. It's hard walking with him, but God always helps me back up. Pray for them to learn what it's truly to be Christian and that they under stand his words and do give their lives back to God.

The problem is that Christianity is the default religion. People who do not really have a religion will clam Christianity because it is the biggest, and they don't want to be ridiculed as an atheist, converted, or left out. They don't have any idea of what Christianity is about, but they claim it anyway, giving the rest of us a bad name.
