The day was tolerable. A few clouds here and there, the weather was a little cool and everything seemed calm. There was no wind to disturb the leaves and not too much sun to blind a soquili while they were walking. Nova thought it was wonderful. The little blue butterfly that followed her around could keep up with her easily and didn't have to rest on her back as often. Her wobbly legs were growing stronger with each day that past and she was getting used to the wings on her back. Now when she wanted to move them, they wouldn't just barely twitch, they would actually shuffle! It wasn't amazing to an adult, but it Nova was fairly proud of herself. Her silver eyes scanned the area, making mental notes of where she had been and how to get back to the safety of her family if she needed to.
Nova took in the calm silence happily. She could almost hear the sound of the butterfly's wings flapping to keep it afloat. One day she would know how to do that... Nova glanced at a flower and smiled. Her father taught her the butterflies loved flowers and she loved them as well. The silence surrounded her once more when he thoughts faded. Most would want another around to talk to, but the little filly was fine with her single, silent butterfly friend.

Khajag roamed the lands, searching for any special food or good eats that he could collect for the mare he had gotten pregnant. He wanted her to have the best selection to eat from, and wanted her to be comfortable. For some reason, he had a feeling that she was going to give birth to the foals soon, and that worried him the most. He didn't even know if he was going to be a good father! He shook his head. No, no! He would try to be the best father he could be, and that was that.
As the stallions continued with these thoughts, he had no insight to where he was really headed. He didn't even see the young filly up ahead with her butterfly friend.

Nova smiled at the blue butterfly as it seemed to lead her straight towards the stallion. It obviously wanted her to make friends, but she was always too afraid of speaking. What if she said something rude? Her purple ears flicked back then forward as she continued to walk and follow the butterfly almost mindlessly. It was so peaceful around here that it was easy to simply get lost in one's own thoughts. Nova was completely lost in her thoughts of nothingness.
Of course that was until she noticed the stallion. She was ripped from her thoughts when she saw the movement and how large this other creature was. Of course, her parents were both as large as this stallion it seemed. Her eyes widened and her wings tucked against her sides as she looked at the little blue butterfly with an almost fearful expression. Her wobbly legs froze and would not budge. She was stuck, wanting to meet someone new, but wanting to run to the safety of her family.

Khajag was slightly at a daze before a blue butterfly tore him away from his thoughts. His eyes went a bit cross-eyed as the butterfly approached his face. His eyes held a bit of panic seeing the butterfly come closer, but then calmed a bit down when the butterfly flew off to the side. His eyes seemed to notice a young filly. His eyes shone with fondness, and smiled softly to her.
The stallion then stopped, noticing the fearful expression her face. His face shifted to a concerned expression. "Are you alright?" He asked softly, wanting to stir her away from anything that may have frightened her. "I promise I won't hurt you." He said in the same soft voice, leaving distance between them. He would leave it up to the filly to get closer or move away.

The young filly watched the butterfly approach the stallion's face then veer off towards some flowers. She watched as the stallion's expressions seemed to change in an instant. Her purple ears flicked back and forth as she listened closely to his voice, she was taught it was rude not to listen to others and this stallion was no exception.
Nova sighed softly at his question. Did he really want to know that he was the reason she looked scared? The filly highly doubted it, so she simply nodded her head as an answer to the large stallion. Her silver, almost white, eyes quickly looked over the stallion's appearance. He didn't seem threatening, but one could never judge another based on their appearance.

Khajag continued to watch the filly, and furrowed his brows in confusion when he simply got a nod in response versus an actual voice response. Pausing for a second, he studied the filly again. "Are you certain you are okay?" He asked again, not quite to do in this situation. Taking a quick glance around, it didn't seem like anyone was close by that he would identify as her parents. "Should you be out all by yourself?" He asked her softly.

She nodded her head once again at the display of concern the stallion showed. Nova felt her ears flick forward, towards the stallion, as the stallion spoke once again. Was he one to trust? "I-I'm not by myself..." She mustered the words out, her heart racing as she spoke. When the butterfly she was previously following came over and landed on her muzzle, she seemed to relax slightly.

Khajag kept his full attention on the little filly in front of him. Hearing the words come out of her mouth, the stallion didn't know what to think. He wanted to honor that she was not lying to him, but he didn't feel right about it. "Are you sure? I would hate to leave you all by yourself." He said, voicing his concern. His brows furrowed together, waiting to see some sign of an adult so that he could leave in peace if the foal, or the foal's parent did not want him around. He would at least feel at ease if the foal had someone to watch over her.

"He is watching me, see?" Nova said as she raised her muzzle up slightly towards the stallion as though to show off the little butterfly that had just landed on her. She peered up at the large, green stallion and she smiled slightly. Her silver orbs focused on the stallion's facial expressions. Nova felt herself becoming more at ease with the stallion. He seemed to worry for her safety and he seemed be worthy of a little trust.

Khajag glanced down to the butterfly that had just landed on her. A quirked a brow at the butterfly on the little foal. "Now Butterfly, tell me. Are you going take care of this foal? Can you protect her sufficiently until her parents come for her?" He asked the butterfly playfully, waiting to see how the foal would react to his questions.
