 It had been weeks since he last stepped out of the house, probably even months, he had lost track, he hadn't been out since the attack, he was saved by a flarei that went between his home and Noko's, strange as it was, she didn't seem the type to end up saving others, she didn't seem to be built to carry such things but she did, as tough as it was and he ended up alive and he could only remember bits about it, sometimes a bit more then just a bit but mostly just bits, his nights were nothing but nightmare filled so he was terribly tired as well. Frostbite looked around and sniffed the air, trying to see if any other danger was around but thankfully there was none and out he limped with a cast on his back left leg, a small final reminded of what could happen just by going for a walk "I will be back soon" he said smiling at the flarei who was worried about him, he hadnt been let out of her siight since the attack, she playing mother to him besides Lenore but she thought it was about time he left the house and so did he, he wanted to get some fresh air and maybe go to the lake just to rest and relax and maybe for once get some uninterupted sleep.

 Pop had told her about this place not too long ago. He had thought she would enjoy it and Spire would be happy to tell him--as soon as she was ready to leave, that is--that she thought it was great! The slight breeze off the water was refreshing, it seemed like the perfect place to take a load off. And considering it was so close to where she and her father usually roamed, it was surprising to her that she had never stumbled upon this lake before on her own.
Poking her nose against the surface, she watched idly as a few ripples moved across the water. Ah, it was nice, tranquil... but that wasn't really her. Tossing back her head, the female trotted out into the water, splashing around for a good long time. In a little while, she thought she would go deeper and take a swim, but for now she was enjoying the feel of lake muck between her toes. She laughed, finally ceasing her play and flopping on the bank in a tired huff.

Frostbite walked over to a near by tree, staying away from the water, it was close enough to take in the beauty that surrounded him "lets hope I..." he said softly to himself before stopping and realised there was someone else there with him, he just sat there and watched, waiting to see what would happen, the state he was in he wasn't wanting anyone to talk to and yet, after being cooped up for so long, interacting with other kitsusagi might be good, oh well, he will just take whatever comes.

At some point during her after romp relaxation, the female's breathing had finally begun to slow to a normal pace once more. Feeling comfortable, she heaved a great sigh before wriggling to her paws. Now was as good a time as any for a real dip. It had been a while since she had an opportunity to swim in such cool water. Rolling her shoulders, Spire started to turn back to the edge, but as she moved, something different caught her eye. Something back towards the trees, the direction she had come from earlier that day, was different. It wasn't quite the same earthy color one would expect. Stopping, she blinked, the form of another Kitsu coming into focus. Ears flicked back. Oh. Well, she supposed her swim could wait. Without thinking much more on it, she started to pad towards the form.

Frostbite noticed the other comming towards him and stood up as best he could, always was one to be told that when a lady came over to him or entered the room he should stand up, it was polite to do so and as much as he wanted to just stay there, laying dow, he decided to ignore his leg for once and got up and smiled at her as she approched.

With a spring always in her step, she closed the gap between them rather quickly. It certainly wasn't unusual for her to walk up to any old Kitsu and strike up a conversation, it was in her outgoing nature. At least she didn't have to worry, like Pop did, about losing to the uncontrollable urge to bite things. That often scared of perspective friends. Sometimes she just didn't understand what drove her dad to do things like that.
Regardless, her tails picked up a vigorous wag and she canted her head, smiling. "Yo!" her voice was as loud as one would expect, but not unkind. Looking the male over, she noticed the cast rather quickly. It was something she didn't see everyday. "You hurt?" she asked, brows furrowing.

Frostbite nodded hello "hi" he said as he laid back down "care to join me?" He asked, making himself comfortable again "and yeah, i'm hurt, though right now I am more tired then in pain, restless nights" he said before shaking his head "er...but enough of my problems, im Frostbite, and you are?" He asked, deciding it was best, or at least for the moment any way, not to tell her why since being mauled nearly to death and still being hunted by the same nightmare that did it when you close your eyes isn'tmuch of a conversation starter.

For whatever reason, it seemed like he didn't really wanna talk about his leg much. Well, she was fine with that. It was enough to be given an answer to her question. He couldn't be a bad guy if he was willing to give even just the details he did. Small things like that could make one vulnerable to the wrong type of personality. With a quick nod, she pawed at the ground for a moment, then flopped into a heap next to him. "I'm Spire. Nice to meet ya, Frost. Can I call you Frost?" Next her whole body tensed as she stretched, eventually settling with limbs sprawled out in every direction. She looked like the type who was a messy sleeper, too. "Whatcha doin' out here? Guess you can't go for a swim with that cast, huh?" Her mouth was already running a mile a minute.

"Pleasure to meet you" he said smiling at her once more "and sure you can call me that but as for why im out here...im not entierly sure, I mean, I wanted to get out of the house since it seemed forever since I have been out, due to my incident I have been bed ridden for months, I just wanted some fresh air mostly but the company is just an added bonus" he said as he crossed histwo front paws and rested his head on them.

"Ohhh," she let out, her head falling to the side as she half-laid on her shoulder. "Yeah, I can see why you'd want to get out of the house. I hate being cooped up inside." In fact, she liked the outdoors so much that she was almost always outside. Oftentimes she would snooze outside all night by choice, especially if Pop or Mum or one of her siblings were around to snuggle with. "I'm glaaad you could get out okay while having to drag that cast around." She mused about it for a moment. The most she had ever gotten were a few scrapes and bruises. What was a broken leg like? "And I'm glad you came around here. I was gonna go swimming, but this is fun, too."

"Belive me, it wasn't easy, I have a guardian, Lenore, who basically is watching me like a hawke since the incident and a flarei who has been acting as my mother if Lenore wasn't around and even if she was she was still playing mother hen, I basically had to swear on my life just to get out of the house for an hour or two" he said softly shaking his head at the thought. Frostbite LOVED that he was being looked after by the two of them but he REALLY needed some breathing space "and yeah, the cast is meant to come off in a day or two, it was one reason why I WAS allowed out" he said as he frowned a little and looked towardsthe lake and then back at Spire "i'm sorry, if you want to go for a swim, by all means, go, I don't mind sitting here by myself and I can always watch, I didn'tmean to disturb you" he said apologetically to her, he wasn't meant to take her away from her swimming if that was what she wanted to do.

"It's good that they let you out.... Caretakers can be overbearing." At least she didn't really have to deal with that situation when it came to her father. He tended to be pretty lax throughout most of her childhood, letting her wander this way and that as long as she was in earshot. Nowadays she was grown and could wander wherever she pleased whenever, but she still liked to check in with him. "No, no, don't worry about it." She was quick to add, shaking her head. "I can go swimming anytime it's not a big deal..." she trailed off, looking towards the water thoughtfully for a moment before her eyes brightened. "Heeey! If that cast is supposed to come off soon, we could go swimming together then!" She sounded pretty excited, but eventually a look of realization crossed her face. "Oh, I mean if you like swimming, that is."

"Yes they can be, but still, I love them nevertheless, I just wish they were a little less" he said as he looked at the lake and nodded "I do like to swim but not really, I mean I nearly drowned as a pup and so water and I am not exactly on friendly terms with each other, I can handle going for a swim and drinking water, I just have been scared of water ever since so unless it is something I HAVE to do I just wont." Frostbite said with a sigh, was there anything NOT lame about him? A beautiful girl is sitting in front of him and feels like a ten year old boy who thinks girls have cooties and are nothing more then friends at the very most IF said ten year old didn't think girls had cooties, man he sucked.

Spire's expression fell considerably. Probably more than it had since that one time when she was a kit and she roughed her elbow up pretty bad. And even that wasn't as significant. "O-Oh. I'm sorry." What to say in a situation like this, she wasn't quite sure. 'Gee, I'm sorry you almost died?' Yeah, that sounded about right. She laughed sheepishly, ducking her head. "We don't have to go swimming. I mean, we can do something else." A bit of her playful nature began to creep back already. She was a hard one to keep down. "There are plenty of fun things to do around here... If you wanna do something." She smiled at him, her tails thumping lightly against the ground.

"It's fine" he said smiling a little at her, Frostbite looked over to the lake and down at his cast and then clawed the cast so much that, after several moments, the cast finally broke apart and fell off his leg "I can't go swimming with that on can I?" He said smiling at her "besides, whats two days? If my leg wasn't healed by now then two days won't make any difference will it? I think this leg will need a wash anyway since it has been stuck in the cast for a long time." Frostbite got up and walked around a bit before taking a run to the other side of the lake and back "good as new" he said as he looked over at the lake, he was petrified even though he wasn't showing it, he didnt want to go in but hey, he had Spire there with him, he trusted her enough to not know she wouldn't just stay there and not help him if something DID happen and besides, maybe she could end up helping him like water again even if she didn't know it yet.
