I had a dream...
It all started out as I was looking down upon the world map of Rune Scape but instead of being 2D it was 3D and I started to zoom into the ground closer and closer to the point were I was able to route the view around a 360 degree and see as first person, the graphics of the water were amazing, as you moved or looked over it the water would wave as if it was in motion and the trees were moving as wind blow past them and the sky was more then photo realistic. (Take that WoW!)
It felt as the world was alive even while looking at the map, I just wish I could explain more to you all but that was about as much as the dream lasted to just see the above world map and then being zoomed into the see the world that could be.
I am hopeing to see my dream come to life as it would make me love Rune Scape even more then ever then I already do. No...I WANT to see them dream come to life. Come on Jagex, I want to see the day Rune Scape looks way better then World of Warcraft.
If not just for kicks, make an epicly graphical image that is possible to be the best view that can be seen to all as what could be the future of Rune Scape, and yes I understand that there was already an amazing graphical update but I KNOW they are holding back...on reason is that most players off Rune Scape don't have amazing pc's to power it's real power that could be the world of Rune Scape.

Sounds... Interesting? If that's the word I am looking for.
Honestly, not to kill your hope, but it's not possible. You have to realize Jagex uses Java to make most of Runescape, if not all of it, even though, they use their own code, called Runescript. To give you a better idea, WOW which is in no way comparable to Runescape to me, since they are two completely different games one -WOW- runs on a DirectX type of Platform, while Runescape whom in the future will be compatible with DirectX is currently OpenGL. So, to sum it up quick, it's not in the engine's reach to do that. There are limitations/restrictions to what Jagex can and can not do with their engine, because after all it is a browser game and not a file you have to download.
On the other hand, I think that would be rather awesome. Although, to me the graphics aren't so important as long as they are decent.
