The adolescent lay by the waters edge, water around the lands was scarce and he loved water, it was nice and cooling. Food around these lands were just as hard to find as water if you didn't know where to look and the noise his stomach was making he knew sooner or later he would have to move his large body to find some meat.

He envied his sister and all females right now, they weren't as big as he was nor did they have the fluffy mane. Stupid thing it always got in the way even if it did look rather cute on him sometimes, ok, maybe only he thought that but to him he was attractive and alot better then Kimeti, he really didn't like that lion.

A large, bright figure stepped out from the sandy dunes and approached the stream cautiously. The scent of two other firekin members, have been tainting the air for days. She couldn't recognize them, honestly, but she knew her sister Kwana did and she supposed it was alright. She also knew though, by instinct that the male who lurked the lands would end up giving way to stealing up one of the sisters and breeding. This would allow more firekin rulers to emerge. The firekin reign would never die.

With this thought, the female lifted her head and shook the water pellets away. A strict sense of pride surging through her. She smiled, before turning her head slightly to look on the path of the stream bed. There, lay the bulky male whom she recognized as the 'other'. She smiled, straightening her stature and approached the male.

In arriving in front of him, she stopped, eyeing him from head to toe, before speaking. 'Why, hello there' her smile turned into a sly grin. Her tail twitching with interest.

He raised his head, his mane falling over his face. With a few grumbles of complaints and other things he smiled at the sister. He recognized her from when Kwana suddenly went off to another female and she appeared, three sisters and his. Five girls and two boys, something was wrong here, so uneven! The Firkins lived though, that is all that was needed for now.

He tilted his head slightly, his mane finally letting him see at last. He sat up and bowed his head to her, "Princess." He then let a smile be seen, "Hello there. Kwana's younger sister I presume?" His tail flicked behind him as he watched the bright coloured girl in front of him.

Kijinga tried her best to hold back the giggle, but it escaped softly. She found this male to look highly amusing, in a good way of coarse. She watched him stand, and bow his head. Something she wasn't, honestly, used to, but she too nodded her head slightly and spoke once more, replying to his question. 'Yes, indeed.' Another chuckle filtered through her throat, before she spoke once more. 'And its a pleasure getting to meet you. Last encounter, not much was said.' Kijinga smiled, still evaluating the male from her position. She seemed to have something on her mind.

Handsome, she'd give him that.

'Pardon me asking,' she paused, feeling her face flush slightly with embarrassment. 'But what might be your name?'

He also let out a chuckle, she wasn't anywhere near as erm.. whats the word, bossy? controling? Something like that. She was alot more down to earth then Kwana. Why did Kwana say so many bad things about her? Weird!

"Teleka. I have a sister around somewhere called Mpeka, we are twins so you will know her when you see her, that and she isn't related to you!" He chuckled again. "Sorry, I seem to forget that there is now only two families here." He didn't say the next bit that came to mind, he hated the idea but unless more firekins arrived they would have to mate with rouges to stop family interbreeding, that is if any of the sisters would like him and Kimeti would like Mpeka. He worried about the pride.

Kijinga nodded. Repeating his name in her mind before wording it aloud. 'Teleka. And you've a sister? Well that's interesting. Wouldn't mind meeting her eventually.' She nodded, trying to make a conversation. Obviously.

The female arched her neck slightly, then lowered her body to the earth, her rump rubbing ends with the ground. She turned her head slightly to the desert lands, watching the winds pick up sand, then drop it suddenly. She couldn't say she loved the lands she lived on. It was dry, dead most of the time with the occasional spotting of stray herds lurking out of the jungles reach. Yet, she was happy to be able to live here, with her sister. Even if Kwana many not always be the kindest of creatures.

There was also something on her mind, while looking out into the depths of dunes. Yet she neither dared say it nor think it, for even a thought of this could cause her worlds of trouble. Yet with the coming of the rest of her siblings, she began to wonder if the things she'd been up to would matter much. Kwana seemed understanding enough to take then in, even after their leave from the lands. Kijinga felt her body fidget with these wonders, and soon she ceased with thinking them. She had run out of things to say to Teleka, and hoped he would coax up a few words to start up a conversation once more.

Teleka smiled, "She, I expect would love to meet you!" He stood up and stretched his limbs, shaking his growing mane before lapping up some water. He was about to sit down again when his stomach make a horrible noise, "Ah sorry. My stomach has been complaining quite a bit. Would you like to join me on a hunt?" He wasn't sure if she would as he had a habit of leaving the lands to find fresh, undusty food, it tasted nicer! However if she wished not to come he would stay with her if that was her wish, she was a princess and he would serve them in what ever way he could. He wanted to be on their good side after all!

Kijinga shrugged. She hadn't been on a hunt with another in a long while, and it didn't look like going on one with Teleka would do any harm. 'I too find hunger a dreadful nuisance, and wouldn't mind joining you in a hunt.' she paused, lifting her mass up onto all fours and shaking off the dirt that gathered on her buttocks. 'Where is it you have in mind for hunting?' she cocked her head slightly, taking a few steps forwards in the direction of the desert.

Teleka looked a little uneasy as she asked where they were going. "I normally leave the lands to find food. Food out there is at the plenty and so much of it, they are all alot fatter to." He licked at one of his paws before wishing he hadn't the dust never tasted nice.

He looked back at her before testing out his joints. He couldn't wait to go hunting and how else to get to know someone then go on a hunt with them? He hoped he would get on better with Kijinga then Kwana, well she hadn't made him do a task to prove his worth yet, that was always good!

Kijinga looked a bit uneasy; outside the lands? She didn't like the sound of that. 'Oh, well...-' she paused, her ears shooting back against her skull. Her tail flicking curiously. 'I-I...I suppose we could go. Returning quickly though, so as not to be discovered.' She peered about her, as if the sands that surrounded them would swiftly let Kwana in on their plan to hunt on the outskirts. And although she was indeed a bit worried about running off to an area she herself wasn't to sure of, she would go, for hunger drove the red female mad.

And plus, he wouldn't let anything happen to the princess now would he?

He saw her look worried, "Kwana won't know, not that it has much to do with her. If she does indeed wish for the pride to live then she will let us eat. I won't let anything to happen to you, you are a princess and I am your follower." He bowed his head again and led the way for her. He was being himself, over pleaseing and slightly protective, he would scare anything away like this, not.

Kijinga nodded. He made perfect sense. Kwana shouldn't mind, and even if she did, it wasn't like Kijinga was running off like the other siblings did. No.

She once again nodded as he spoke of her being the princess and what not. That was true, and yet she still felt flushed and light headed. She wasn't used to this sort of treatment like her sister may have been. She took a few steps forwards once more, testing the air, but only getting a nose-full of dusty, dry nothing. She took a glance at Teleka before questioning 'So where do we head off to?'

He looked at her and just smiled. "We go where our paws and noses lead us!" He winked at her and set off to the borders. There he would sit down and look. Look and wait.

The food would come to them soon enough, just need to wait!

Kijinga followed, close behind. Her fur flinging about wildly as she sprinted on along side Teleka. She could feel her paws sinking and lifting into the sand, and the dusty grains flinging back as they pushed on through the desert. And soon, when they finally found their spot of resting and waiting, she took refuge beside him, panting wildly and letting out short snorts, catching her breath. 'How long do you think this'll take?' Her body was now seated, her shoulders lifted about her head, her pants now slowly and instead being restored to sheer silence.

Once seated he looked at her with a soft smile on his face, "Don't worry we will be back before Kwana even has a chance of knowing we are missing!" He laughed a little and tested out his joints again, tensing his muscles a little. "With that herd over there, less then a few seconds!" He let out a soft snarl like sound but winked at her as he crept forward.

He suddenly stopped and turned around. "Now don't take this as an offence but I don't want you getting squashed! I will find one and send it this way, I am sure you can kill it for us yeah?" He waited for a reply before setting off. He already had a weak buck in sight.
