The little blue pup wandered towards a lone tree not far from his family's den. This was his thinking place. A peaceful place where he could sit undisturbed for an endless amount of time. Best of all, this spot overlooked the territory's glittering source of water. It was a beautiful view.
As he sat, Fauzi's red eyes seemed to drift off into another world. He didn't dare close them... because when he did, he saw images. Most of them where painfully unpleasant. Fauzi blinked hard, trying to moisten his irritated eyes. It wasn't very effective, but he'd do anything to soothe the sting. Anything but sleep.
In his peripheral vision he saw another pup in the distance. Fauzi turned to focus on the figure. He came to the conclusion that he didn't recognize this pup because they had never met. His tail swayed, ready to greet Jacinth if the opportunity presented itself.

Blue and white! What a mixture, Jacinth had never seen anything like him before and when his eye's found her she gazed deeply, he had big, red eye's! She stared for a brief moment then smiled and wagged her tail. She was older then the male, but ddn't recognize that. She had seen him a few times, but didn't pay much attention.
"Helloooo!"
She calls musically, her tone hitting a few different pitches, scaling up and down. She smiled brightly as she closed in on the pup. She caught him mid a hard blink to retrieve moisture and she giggled softly. "Hello!" She said again, flopping her orange rump to the ground.

Fauzi's eyes brightened as he saw the orange pup's waging tail. A friendly new face was always a relief... and he couldn't ask for a better distraction. A smile broke across his face as Jacinth vocalized her musical greeting. That was a funny way to say hello, Fauzi thought to himself. It almost reminded him of something his father would do.
"He-..." The blue pup let out a sincere laugh as his own greeting was cut off by the stranger's second one.
"Yeah, hello!" Fauzi said, his gigglings only beginning to fade away. His crimson eyes twinkled as he glanced back out to the river, but quickly returned his attention to Jacinth. "My name is Fauzi." He introduced himself, just like his parents had taught him to when he had to meet a stranger for the first time. He hadn't got a lot of time to practice it, but he thought he did well. One of his ears drooped with the tilt of his head as he waited patiently for her name in exchange.

Excitement. Excitement. The air was always full of excitement when Jacinth was around, or so she thought. her head tilted opposite of Fauzi's and she grinned even more broadly.
"Hello Fauzi! I'm Jacinth. Do you like to swim?"
She asked, gazing at the water beyond him. He was staring at it with an almost longing look she thought. Maybe he wanted to swim, but had no one to swim with? "I'll swim with you!?"
She offered this without thinking completely and brought her head back up right before letting her tongue hang out and tail wag a bit faster.

Fauzi rose to his paws, invigorated by Jacinth's energetic attitude. "Nice to me-..." The blue pup just couldn't keep up with the orange one, and he was cut off by her question. "I-I've never been swimming before!" His whole body, albeit tiny, shook with tremors of giggles and excitement at the thought. "I-is it like being in the rain? O-or jumping off a big boulder? Or both!?" Red eyes flashed as he bounced gently in place. "You will!? Well, let's go!"
Fauzi bounded around Jacinth, hoping she'd lead the way. He's never been so far from his den without his parent's company. "Let's gooooOOoo!" He mimicked the musical call, trying to hit a few pitches, but it definitely didn't turn out quite as effective. His face flushed noticeably under his white fur as he lowered his gaze. Great, he'd already made a fool of himself!

She giggled happily, he was as ready to play with her as she was with him. This would be a wonderful day after all! waiting patiently for him to stop she began her description. "It's like, being swallowed by a rain cloud I'd guess!"
She bounced with him now, his excitement was boosting her already excited mood. He bellowed happily in an attempted musical tone that made Jacinth giggle with life.
"I second that!" She winked and nudged his flushed cheeks with her nose. Then she was off in a flash of orange light, her body soon disappearing beneath the clear surface that shattered like glass.
She didn't give it much time to settle before she returned, soaking wet and shivering. She still had to get used to eth temperature, but she still ahd a chattering grin on her maw.

"Being swallowed by a rain cloud? I've never done that, either!" Fauzi's eyes were forced shut as he swung his head up and laughed. When he returned his gaze, he was stunned to find out that Jacinth had disappeared! He frantically swiveled his head in every direction, until he heard a splash.
"Jacinth!" Fauzi yelped as he spun towards the lake. He dashed to the edge, looking out and watching with curiosity. The smile on his face made his cheeks numb, but he was hesitant to follow her into the water. Instead, he observed the older female as the water seemed to carry her.
"Wow.." He said in awe, mostly to himself. "Jacinth!" Fauzi bounced as the orange pup returned to the surface. "You're all wet! You don't look very comfy! Are you okay?" He giggled, teasing her chattering teeth. "You sound like a woodpecker bird!"

Jacinth giggled through her chattering jaw and gave a light attempted whistle, mocking the birds. "A woodpecker bird, eh?" Her smile adjusted to a thoughtful one. "Never head of one of those!" Slowly her chattering dissipated and she relaxed. "If you sit long enough the water warms with your body and the sun." Her eye's sparkled, water was certainly part of her life a lot.
"Well, you coming Fauzi???!!!" Her voice back, and chiming she was excited all over again. her tail attempted to wag, Fauzi couldn't see it, but it was hard. Luckily she had standing area, it wasn't to deep here, so they were safe, even in Fauzi's shorter side Jacinth could help him.

"Hahah! Well, if you just listen to yourself you'd know all about them!" Fauzi laughed as Jacinth's teeth continued to chatter.
"How can water so cold make you warm?" The pup tilted his head, approaching his glassy reflection with caution. He dipped his nose into the surface, just like he would if he was taking a drink. It was just a test, to figure the temperature himself.
"Well, it seems warm enough! I'm coming!" Fauzi bounced into the lake, water consuming and submerging his entire flank. His eyes and mouth shot open. "AHH! Burrr!! It's a lot colder on the inside!" He stood still, taking a few minutes to adjust to this new feeling. It was almost like he was floating... Maybe this is just the relief he was looking for all along!

Jacinth didn't quite understand why the water appeared more warm now then what it had been before, but it was. "Seeeeee! It's nice!" She laughed as he sunk into the liquid with ease, his blue and white pelt was beautiful in the water, reflection a blurry looking sky almost. She smiled sweetly and began swishing the water around with her paws, pushing it about the younger fella.
"Har! Feel the water moving, it's sooo weird!"
She bellowed, excited at the discoveries being made.
