POETRY CONTEST:
In order to enter the contest & be eligible to win a prize, you must be a ticket holder. Tickets are only 500g until March 30, and then they go up to 700g.
Rules:
-You must purchase a ticket from THE Santa Claus
-No hate-based speech or profanity please-remember general Gaia rules apply
-All entries must be submitted by April 4 (midnight EST)
-Please PM me with the subject "Poetry Contest"

Many of you have asked - here is how the entries will be judged:
Depending on the number of entries-(if there are alot I will narrow them down to the top 5) a panel of us will choose the winners & post the results. Of course you will be informed & I will send the prizes as gifts- or in the case of gold as a trade (nothing need be sent back on the trade-that's just the only way to send gold).
Go to the poetry contest to check for the results & to read all of the entries. Feel free to comment on the entries and to offer each other feedback in the form of constructive criticism-it is appreciated by your fellow poets.

pain and suffering..cruel words to hear..they push me over..
so i fell in the mud...i come home everyday..covered with bruises
and blood...i don't have anyone to call on the phone..so,i step away with the final goodbye..

I miss you love so much today.
I regret I let you fly away.
I kissed your lips a sweet goodbye.
Now I feel like I could almost die.
My eyes try hard not to weep.
I can not eat. I cannot sleep.
The devil plants his seed of doubt.
"Perhaps his love-You'll live without."
I question now-your love for me.
Was it all really meant to be?
Was I a game you had to play?
Are there lies in what you say?
8 more days til you come home.
I need you now but I'm so alone.
All these years- its been you and me.
My friend, my lover, my destiny.
I've never known this depth of love.
A gift to me from God above.
Oh God please grant me this one prayer.
When I go to meet him... that he'll be there.

creates a swirling feeling inside.
Lose yourself with it,
just go along with the ride.
Songs like a journal,
writing down all you do.
Using the space between notes,
recording what you knew.
The folds of music,
remember what you did.
They remind you as you listen,
revealing all you hid.
Go back to when you first listened,
to that song or ballad.
You'll remember what you were doing.
It's all valid.
Music is life.
Music is love.
Music is beauty.
Music is everything.

I think only of you

is lucky 'cuz it'd be my dream come true
and when I try to draw a cherry
I think of who you'll marry
and though I'd love passionately it to be me

How can I bear
This load of despair?
How can I deal
With this great ordeal?
She's gone, leaving me with the pain.
She loves me, I know, but she left all the same.
It's good for her, she needed to leave.
But I, her best friend, was left to grieve.
She says she'll miss us, no matter how far or near
And I'm sure that's true, but I still shed a tear.
There she goes, I'll put on a smile,
No need for her to be guilty, as she goes those long miles.
I still love her, she is still mine,
My best friend till the end of time.
So good-bye, best friend,
I'll see you again.
I love you and miss you and never forget you,
Even as I make friends new.
Be happy not sad,
I promise I'll try my best not to be mad.
Maybe in a few years
Time will have dried all of my tears.
And then we'll visit, you and I
And that smile will be no longer a lie.

Longing to hear your voice
at last I make my final choice.
You were the person I have been searching for,
You were the one who came through my door.
Missing the smile on your face
and just being around you made my heart race.
Longing for your secure arms around me,
Do you think this is how love is supposed to be?
I think being with you is a blessing,
even if you were second guessing.
Missing the way you catch my breath,
just being away from you feels like death.
Longing the way you sweep me off my feet,
or even making my heart skip a beat.
All the days trying to figure you out,
or finding out what we were about.
Do you long to hear my voice?
What is your final choice?
Am I the person you have been searching for?
Did I appear at the right time at your door?
Do you miss the smile on my face?
Do you miss holding me?
This is how love is supposed to be.
To you, am I a blessing,
or are you second guessing?
Since I'm longing to be with you,
Do you long for me too?
Did you know that I love you,
Because I do know you love me too.

Words that need to be spoken should not accumulate inside.
The hurt, pain or jealousy a person feels can not hide.
Sorrow and anger can be and will be suppressed.
But this only leads to a person feeling depressed.
Anger is a deadly toxin in which the body it flows.
When it takes over limb by limb, everyone knows.
The body - The mind controls and manipulates.
As the poison enters the veins and circulates.
When the poison reaches the heart it's too late.
Disastrous emotions take over such as revenge and hate.
The antidote to cure these emotions, is not so hard to find.
We must search to learn to control our spirited bodies and minds.
