Roy Mustang was over-joyed. He was finally going to be a father! He had thought for the longest time that he was infertile and that Kaoru should have found a better mate but now he knew that he was wrong in his assumptions. He figured his luck was extremely bad until now. He gazed down at the two eggs that lay in front of him. The genders of them were a secret for now...at least until they hatched. He gently rubbed the one with his alchemic symbol on it. Another Flame Alchemist was going to be born soon. Hopefully Edward would help him train his alchemist-in-training after he was old enough to learn alchemy.

Roy tilted his head to one side. Was that really a good idea? He sighed loudly. At least now he wasn't going to have one son. Now he was going to have two-one adopted and one blood-related. Thinking of Tempest, Roy pondered where his adopted son was. He hadn't seen Tempest in several days. Shrugging, Roy lay down on his belly in front of his mate's eggs, one of his gloved paws outstretched towards the eggs.

Roy felt something big and soft thump down on his back and then something sharp nibble on his ear. He instinctively flicked it and he pinned his ears against his skull, not wanting them nibbled on any further, though he knew that Kaoru might do it anyways.

"Hopefully at least one will be. I was hoping Tempest might be the one to carry on the Flame Alchemist name but he doesn't really seem interested in Alchemy anymore," Roy said, shaking his head as he said it. "No, hopefully this egg will be able to." He pointed his paw at the one bearing his alchemic circle. "Though it would be nice if it was a girl, too. There have never been any registered female alchemists before...at least to my knowledge. There have been unregistered ones, like Edward and Alphonse's teacher but she was the only one I knew of." Roy sighed and let his head rest on his paws. "I am hoping none of them have my rash personality. Maybe yours, though. You have a cooler head than me."

Roy smirked slightly. "Don't worry, dear. I won't," he said, pausing for a few seconds. "Though I might pressure then to be Princes of the world." He ducked his head in case she decided to take a chunk out of his ear. "Just kidding," he said in a slightly high pitched voice.

He shook his head again and flicked his ears slightly. "I have no idea where Tempest is. Though I can safely say that he isn't chasing after any women. I haven't seen him in a few days. He might be with his blood-sister. Don't worry. I haven't told him he's adopted...yet. I am still waiting how to tell him that."

Roy snorted softly. "Yes, Queen Kaoru. So, does that make me King or Fuhrer?" He stared at his two offspring and wondered what they were going to look like when they hatched. Hopefully one of them would become an alchemist like himself.

"Yeah, that would be nice. Squall is like an uncle for these offspring." He tilted his head to one side and pondered on that. "Maybe Maes, too. He can be another uncle."

"That would be a good idea. I would ask Ryu but he's currently off in his own little world. I think he's finally come to terms with his mate leaving him alone. I know his daughter and grand-daughter have been trying to keep his spirits up but I think Ryu's life is going to end soon." Roy sighed and decided to change the subject.

"Hopefully Maes' wife gets resurrected here. I know he's been pinning for his wife for a while now." Roy winced slightly. "I am not sure if having Fullmetal over here is a good idea right now."

Roy chuckled deep in his throat. "I'm sure he will. But at the same time he might be a useful babysitter...and a wonderful Uncle to our children." Roy shook his head slightly. "We've...never really got along. Though this time I think the rift between us is too great for it to be repaired."

"Though not right now. I'm sure our kids are fine at the moment. Besides, I'm sure they aren't going to hatch any minute now. It might take a few days," Roy said, his voice slightly soft, in case their children could hear them from inside their eggs.

"I'm sure that whatever he is mad at me about isn't going to go away any time soon. Besides, he's busy with his own mate and children...and also Alphonse, too."

Roy sighed and shook his head. Kaoru was being silly today but he didn't really mind. At least this took his mind off of his past mistakes that he made in their attempts at having children.

"I'd like to see him try," he said, a smirk on his face.
