((this thread is for the side arch, migoto's journey, shiko is on the sidelines for this one, helping as she quests for "lukia" a rival from her past. i ask that no one post in this thread bu me and migoto (cannibal) as we are the only characters in this section of the story. this is mainly so people outside me and cannibal, can fully understand why they are gone lol))

((Look! An update in Migoto's appearance! =O She's such a hot mom lmao. xD ))
Migoto was sitting quietly next to a flaring fire, its flickering light casting intriguing shadows that danced across her features. It was getting late and a blanket dusk had already enveloped the forest, making it murky and mystical. She had a deep frown carved into her facade, her hands fiddling with a small piece of paper; a photograph. She gazed at it momentarily, her her ebony eyes softening to a light charcoal briefly before they were torn from it again, looking back into the fire.
She mulled over many thing in her mind, ti was like madhouse in her thoughts.
"Lukia, where was she? Was she even in the Cloud? Did she have a new team? Was she going to attack any time soon? What new skills had she learned? Could they find any information on her? How was Hane fairing at home?"
Her eyes faltered slightly.
"Hane...and Ryuun," she looked at the photo in her hands again. The happy group staring back up at her with grins. Everyone with small bundles of joy, to young to even realize what was going on.
"I'll be home soon," she whispered to herself.
Shiko was off somewhere, gathering up something for a quick dinner. Tomorrow they would re-enter the land of the Cloud, which loomed in the distance. Hopefully they would be doing some peaceful reconnaissance, looking for any trace of Lukia. She had a few ideas of where to begin.

  the new shiko uchiha!!! shiko dropped down from a tree branch landing next to migoto "dont stress yourself too much, you'll lose your focus, and we dont need that." he said sitting next to her. "hane can defend ryuun, and remember we have our whole family there, dont worry. all you need to do is relax. get some sleep. ill keep watch. we can move on in the morning" he assured his cousin with a relaxing pat on the shoulder.

Migoto smiled up at her cousin, knowing his advice was sound. And yes, he had a valid point; should her attention waiver it could end badly.
"I know, thanks."
She tucked a section her long hair behind her ear to get a better look at her cousin who was standing over her shoulder, the light giving his features a sharper look than normal.
"I think I know where we should start tomorrow though," she began, "I know there's been something going on in that village that's causing quite a ruckus. There is a small family of doctors who lives just outside the village. They've been put under scrutiny because one of their patients who was a respected shinobi passed away from poisoning. Since last time I saw her she was looking for a specific kind of poison, it could be her work; framing this family."

shiko nodded. "then we'll head there, but first, get some rest" he said as though it were a command. he flashed a smile at her and then jumped into the tree above the fire.
he sat and looked at the moon in the sky 'i wonder how things are back in the village...' he thought to himself, as his green eyes shown the moon's reflection. he sighed and looked down to the fire and down to migoto
'we will get to the bottom of this... ' he thought. 'for the clan.... for migoto...'

((Heh a literal and mini timeskip happens here~ lol.))
Migoto stirred, slowly opening her eyes and looking to seeing the smoking ash of the fire from the night that had passed. She felt her bones ache wit sleep, and stretched out along the ground before sitting up and looking about for her companion, running her fingers through her long hair. She briefly gave a thought that she should cut it again, but soon dismissed the fleeting fancy as quickly as it had come.
"Shiko? Good morning" she called up to a nearby tree where she was almost certain he would be perched.
The sun was still low in the horizon, and cast long shadows through the trees that seemed to glow with the golden morning light. It was warm, and the sky was a hue of washed-out blue.
It was sure to be a lovely fall day, and Migoto thought about what her family would be doing back in the village; perhaps a walk in the park, or a picnic.
She smiled at the leisurely thought, and stood up, stretched her arms out above her head, and letting loose one last yawn.

shiko jumped from his perch and landed beside his cousin, an alert expression on his face. "your up" he adressed. while scouting the surroundings. his shiningan active.

Migoto looked up to her attendee, noting the tenisty in his stance; and the alarm in his eyes which sacenned teh landscape.
"What's wrong?" she asked, her voice dropping to a chord of seriousness in an instant. She gather up her things quickly, waiting for an asnwer.
Even if it was just Shiko being antsy, they should be moving on towards teh cloud now; to do their questioning for the day and hopefully find a lead.

shiko slowed his breathing, and closed his mouth. allowing the scents of the air to flow in through his nose and into his chest. he felt a familiar essence in the air. he exhaled and closed his eyes.
... a long waving tail, a figure darting back and forth, suddenlly the head is visible, no eyes, only jaws, a skull the never seems to end.. the hissing...
shiko's eyes flew open wide "one of them" he toook a defensive stance, not sure if migoto knew what he meant. but he stood at the ready. only one of them wouldnt be much of a challenge... then he rethought the situation "why only one? they never wander this far alone..." he mumbled
shiko looked to migoto "on second thought, never mind... just my mind playin tricks on me" he sighed, trying to ease migoto. she had enough on her plate. he wouldnt burden her with this small issue, when he could handle it, if it showed to be a problem...
"lets get moving" he said with a smile. occasionally throwing a subtle glance over his shoulder.
