Now, now, don't get too excited! I'm just saying "what if".
There is not a Paper Mario movie in the works (that I'm aware of) either animated or live-action.
But if there was, and we were the ones casting this sucker, who would YOU want to see as your favorite Paper Mario characters?
I'm putting up Arnold Schwarzenegger up for O'Chuncks and Ashley Tisdale as Luvbi from Super Paper Mario (SPM).

I think Super Paper Mario would do the best since it has a decent plot...
Hmm, I think it would best in animation, but that's just my opinion.

Here's a little fun fact for you all: Super Paper Mario WAS considered to be made into a movie. I s**t you not. The person who had made the Donkey Kong Movie years before had been thinking about making the game into a film. He was particuarly interested in making the movie flip dimensions... literally making a movie that was both in 2-D and 3-D.
Alas, he announced this years ago near the time when SPM was a much newer game and never got back to the idea. Possible bad funding (because, let's be honest here, even if fans like us would've LOVED an SPM movie, critics would have reasons to be skeptical). Looks like our hopes have been dashed, folks. crying

'd have to say SPM cause I like the plot. But I'd like to see the person playing the Shadow queen in thousand year door! And Bowser. (in any game.) lol! heart

Hm, I'd say either the Paper Mario from the N64 or SPM would be good choices.
As for Johnny Depp, when I thought of him, I instantly thought of Flavio from Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. xD

It has to be better than that live-action Mario Bros.!
I could see Bower as a giant puppet, like that old Dinosaurs show (if anyone is old enough to remember the creepiness...)
I could really see that idea coming back, especially where we have been able to make so many movies in 3-D. They could do some really cool stuff with flipping dimensions and flipping into 3-D from 2-D & vice versa.
