Haruka sat on her usual cushion at their low wooden table, her head propped up on her hand as she flipped through her newest Visual Kei fashion magazine. Her head bobbed lightly as she looked over the pictures, humming a DJ Uzma hit to herself as her tail flicked a bit as well in response to the notes. The girl turned a page, her differently colored eyes glanced about the room before returning to the magazine, though the tall, white ears atop her head turned and tilted as if looking for something.
It was quiet…maybe too quiet.
The tea house wasn’t open today due to it being Sunday, Mother was playing outside in their little garden and as for her brother? Hmm…good question. Who knew what he was doing right now.

His sister was right to be 'looking' for something because he was working his hardest to be sneaky and just creep slowly toward his sister. He kept low to the ground and suddenly his foot stepped on a creaky floorboard causing him to pause and curse before he just decided to run forward and leap at his sister with a short yelp.
If he was going to be discovered he might as well finish his plans valiantly and attack his sister as he had intended in the first place.
Haruki fling himself at his sister but fell just short with a heavy thump and a grunt...Her tail was still in reach, however, so his hand reached out to snag at that with a small grin despite the momentary dazed feeling that ran through his head, "Almost had you~," he said lazily with a tinges of wobbly notes in his voice as he spoke.
Almost counted only in a handful of things, this was not one of them.

Her brother was going really well so far, she didn’t even know he was coming until she heard the floor board creak. Gotta love those floors yet hate them at the same time. A small smirk graced her lips as the floor gave him away but as his yelp she blinked a bit before looking back at him.
It seemed like the impact would be inevitable so the girl only braced herself, staring at Haruki and ready to brawl as soon as he landed on her.
So she was surprised to say the least when he just felt short of her and landed on the floor. The girl stared at him for a long moment before busting out into loud laughter, thumping her fist on the table in obvious amusement. “You fail ~ !” She sang out, one arm moving to wrap around her stomach as she laughed. She felt her tail get snagged and tried to give it a flick out of habit but wasn’t fighting too hard to get it released…yet.
“Pfft yeah, almost. So close yet so far away. Floor one, Haruki zero.”

"Much like your dance skills fail~," he retorted snidely at her after she had her laughter fit and told him that he had failed. Before she could object or move away he began to wiggle closer to her and eventually flop across her lap in a dramatic fashion as he stared up at her from where he laid on her lap and pouted at her as he reached up and tugged at her chin, "So mean to your older brother, Ka-chan!" he sulked at her in a hurt tone as he watched his sister.
"...You weren't busy were you? You know I do hate interrupting you!" Haruki said cheerfully showing that he really didn't hate interrupting her and he really wasn't going to be sorry either. He was bored and so she was going to entertain him or so he decided a few moments ago when he had slunk out of his last chore of the day that Mother had assigned to him.

“You wouldn’t know what good dance skills were even if they tattooed on your retinas.” The female twin retorted with a bit of a miffed tone. Her dancing was freaking awesome, thank you very much, even mother AND father said so! Her tail twitched in annoyance as he then flopped across her lap and it was then that she rolled up the fashion magazine she was reading, nice and tight. “Only by five minutes, geeze!” Haruka retorted with a bit of exasperation. It seemed like he was always going to hold that over her head. “I kicked you out first, anyways.” She then swatted her brother with the rolled up magazine, feeling quite pleased after she did so.
“Oh no, I wasn’t busy at all.” She replied cheerfully, swatting him again. “Just thinking about maybe taking out the trash.”

Haruki guffawed at his Twin's response and then gave her a fox-eyed grin and stared up at her as she twitched in annoyance. Seeing her so worked up amused him so much he only wished he could do this more often! He watched as she rolled up the magazine and listened to her retort and laughed which was followed by a yelp because she had swatted him. He rolled onto his side still draped on her lap but now holding the sides of his head. He peered back at her and informed, "Kicked me out my a**! I dragged you out with me because I wasn't going to suffer alone," in a somewhat indignant tone.
"Good," he said when she informed him that she wasn't busy and that was followed by another smaller yelp. He peered up at her and clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth, "Not nice to insult yourself Ka-chan!" Haruki said in a pitying tone and made to grab for the rolled up magazine.

It was safe to say that her brother was probably the only one who could get her so worked up so quickly, but that was because he was a big pest! Haruka cackled as he yelped when she swatted him and was only amused as he moved onto his side and then tried to protect his head. “If that makes you feel better, brother dearest. We all know what really happened.”
Another cackle issued from the fox girl when the second swat met its intended target. “Why, Ki-kun!” She started, “I only hold myself in the highest regard and there isn’t anyone else in this room! So I could only be referring to you!” It was now she decided she wasn’t going to be ‘nice’ anymore and with her free hand she reached down and pinned Haruki’s head down to her lap and then started to repeatedly swat him with her rolled up magazine, grinning like a fiend.

"Yes, I dragged your a** out," he reiterated with a content smile.
Haruki stared up at his sister as he continued to reach for the rolled up magazine and only seemed to fail in his attempt which made give off a small 'erf' and he was about to move when she suddenly held him down and began to repeatedly beat him. He paid her insults no mind but when things became physical it was hard to ignore. He wriggled and whined as he suddenly wanted to escape, "Itaii~!" He hissed between clenched teeth as he continued and eventually wriggled free and rolling away from her.
"Abuse! Sibling abuse! How dare you!?" He rubbed at his scalp, "and you messed up my hair! Augh. I shall get you for this."

Obviously the whole battle of ‘who kicked who and dragged who out’ would always continue.
What was also obvious was that Haruka was not going to let her brother take the magazine from her until she smacked him a few times with it. The girl cackled loudly and evilly as Haruki tried to escape and held him down for as long as possible until he managed to get away from her. “It’s easy!” She retorted, now chucking the rolled up magazine at him, since she was done with it.
“You call that mess on you head, hair?” She questioned mockingly and then lifted her hand underneath her chin and proceeded to give an annoying laugh like so many high and mighty women from their favorite anime. “It looks like the old, dirty mop top mother use to clean the floors with!” Haruka then grinned widely, waiting for her brother to react.
