For the first time in months the sun was out and it was not freezing outside. It also happened to be a Sunday and Cassius was pleased with how well that worked out. How lucky on a day off that the weather would accommodate everyone so graciously? He left his home in a light fleece and grinned at how nice the sunlight felt on his face. He had no immediate plans for his afternoon so he was wandering around at the moment looking into store windows with a mild interest. Other people seemed to have the same idea as him.
There were lots of different people out and about. Cassius was not surprised to see this considering it was a Sunday. So many girls were shopping and gossiping, texting on their cellphones, or just plain socializing with each other. He always chuckled when he'd see boys in groups watching the girls with a awkward glance. He could always tell when someone was younger then him. He sometimes wondered if he missed his younger days when everything just seemed so much easier. Everything was simple and arranged for him through school and activites.
But really, when he thought about it, he definitely preferred his life now since conflicts made everything more interesting in general. He grinned while watching some girls giggle as they walked by him. Oh, it was great to be that guy.

Skye wasn't a girl who would hang about with other girls giggling about boys. She wasn't really interested in boys anyway as she was slowly finding out but that didn't stop her from flirting with other boys. Flirting with boys was always so much fun, and hey she did it most of the night! She spent time flirting with boys only to then kill them.
She was out shopping today as she always did. Girls who had a never ending supply of money had no issue shopping and where as most girls were looking for the bargains she was spending hundreds on one dress. She never had an issue with spending money in fact she was really good at it.
She noticed the older guy with blond hair as she walked out a shop. Girls were walking past him and staring at him and she rolled her eyes at them. Of course there were always the stupid girls. So to prove they were stupid she walked straight up to the guy. She hadn't ever seen him before but that was no reason not to go and say hi. She was always good at talking to random people, it had a lot to do with her upbringing.
"Hey, not seen you around before. I am Skye Fortescue, I go to Crystal and you seem to be the guy that makes all the girls act stupid." She smiled sweetly as she spoke, though she was talking as normally as one could when you came from a posh old fashioned family like Skye's.

Skye's introduction was very unexpected although Cassius wasn't complaining in the least bit. It was rare for a girl to walk right up to him and speak so openly. That only showed that Skye had a lot of confidence compared to all the others around them. It was unusual for anyone to do something so bold, and that was very intriguing to Cassius right away. "Well hello." he finally added, while turning to face her and smiling kindly.
"I haven't seen you either, but nice to meet you Skye. I am Cassius James." He couldn't help but chuckle at her comment about him making all of the girls stupid. He wasn't quite sure what she meant by it but he did enjoy her attitude in general. He definitely agreed on basically everyone else being stupid. Plus he just like gossiping when the moments arrived. "Mind me asking why I make them stupid at this very moment?" His expression was sly and interested in what her thoughts would be.
Hm, so she was a Crystal Academy girl. So far he had run into two other girls that attended that all girls school. Skye seemed the most similar to him though in personality thus far. The other two were far too nice compared to him. "Oh, I attend Sovereign Heights by the way. Although I'm not a huge school person in general." He shrugged somewhat lightly before focusing himself on his new pal in front of him. "How is your shopping going thus far?"

Skye smiled as Cassius turned around and seemed more then happy to talk to her. It saved her calling him various names under the sun and possibly slapping him before putting him on her hit list. It was probably a good thing he said hi.
"Well it's nice to meet you Cassius James." She found the name an interesting one. "As for why, can't you see all the stupid giggling and whispering? I mean really why girls have to whisper and giggle when they could just try talking to you, I will never know." Skye was very definite in her views. She was a stubborn thing and it came through. It was obvious that nothing would change her view on the fact that those girls were stupid. "To be fair if they did talk to you they would probably stutter a stupid amount anyway. I don't see why, you are just a guy." She smiled happily, finding the ranting somewhat fun.
"Sovereign Heights? Is it any good?" Skye hadn't heard much about the school but the options were limited for when she left school so she had to take this in to account.
"Shopping? Oh yes shopping has been great, spent a fair bit. Have you been shopping or just hanging about?" Skye wasn't one to notice if people had anything in their hands or not, she was too self obsessed to notice such things.

It wasn't often that Cassius spoke with someone as equally blunt as he was. He grinned as Skye gave him a detailed explanation on the females around them. "Aren't guys as equally stupid? Look at that group over there, they are oogling the girls and not talking to them either." He paused then and gave Skye a sly smile. "I suppose you and I are just better then everyone else. Not like it's surprising." He shrugged lightly while imagining she'd agree completely. But really, everyone seemed to be cowards!
"School is school. But it is a nice place with interesting classes." he finally added, while shuffling his feet lightly and adjusting his posture. "I thought I'd be free when I graduated high school but my father likes to see me in pain, or rather in school forever." Seriously, he hated school. But he didn't mind how flexible the teachers were at Sovereign Heights. "What about you, do you like your school?"
Surprisingly he hadn't bought anything as of yet. "I've had no luck today, though I'm not really looking for anything. Just enjoying this weather." he paused then and titled his head slightly. "What store were you going into next? Or were you just walking around? I'd be happy for some company either way."
Plus, he wanted to hear some more opinions from this girl. She was helluva entertaining so far.

"Of course guys are stupid. Then again maybe that way they won't ever get together and so the stupid could die out. One can only hope right?" She spoke while looking at the boys Cassius pointed out. She rolled her eyes at them before turning back to him. "At least you aren't a stupid guy." That was the end of that conversation. She continued to listen as he answered her question about school.
"Fair enough. I suppose I will have to go there after Crystal." She let out a sigh, clearly not impressed with the idea. "Oh I hate school, I was home schooled all my life until my parents thought they would take a job miles away and leave me behind. I am getting use to it, I have my horse though the archery at this school sucks. I mean really not even the teachers trying to teach it are any good." Oh yes she could rant about school. He was lucky she had only touched on the subject of her horse as she was sure someone had been feeding him and she could rant about that for ages.
"Fair enough, I have finished my shopping, there is only so much to do in shops that rarely change when you go in them. I can walk with you if you wish." She smiled taking up his invitation. Oh she would be envied by those girls now, she could even try some proper flirting later, that could be fun.

He was starting to get the vibe that Skye was also wealthy just like he was. Especially since she had a horse and some high standards for her school. High standards were important to him so he couldn't disagree with her on that. "Well you don't have to continue with school if you don't want to." he nodded lightly while understanding her feelings on education. "But when the time comes just get a tour of Sovereign Heights and you'll see if you like it."
He led her away from the massive crowd of people and walked with her slowly along the busy sidewalks. Everyone seemed to be going to the stores they were just near, and he chuckled at the busybodies around them. When he left his house he had no idea it'd be so busy outside. He was lucky he and Skye were now avoiding the scene. "I'm not really going anywhere in general, was maybe going to get some ice cream or something or a milkshake if that sounds good to you." He knew a place in the direction they were going, but if Skye didn't want to stop he understood. He just loved ice cream.
"So what other things do you like doing for fun?" he put his hands in his pockets while making sure his phone and money were still there. "Sounds like you are very athletic so I am curious what else there is to do in your spare time." She had different tastes then most girls so he was interested of course. Plus she liked making fun of others and he could happily relate to that.

"I shall remember that, thank you. Maybe you could be the one to give me a tour." She smiled as she spoke, thinking that it would be pretty awesome. To be fair she was walking around with an older guy at the moment and knew that many girls would be envious of her right now. Of course she knew what she was doing though.
Skye disliked crowds, she couldn't stand all the nobodies that ran in to all the cheap shops buying such disgusting clothes. So she was more then happy to be leaving it behind and the suggestion sounded more then appealing.
"Ice cream sounds good. It will at least get us away from all these people." The dislike was a little too apparent in her voice. Stupid people who were clearly no where near as awesome as she was.
"Oh I have done various sporting activities. Being an only child I had to take up what both my parents wished. So I do dancing, hunting, archery, eventing, and I have tried a few other things. Though hunting, eventing and archery are what I spend most of my time doing. Of course I also enjoy shopping but then what girl doesn't when they have the money to spend?" She smiled as she spoke, her odd little smile that showed how highly she thought of herself. "What about you, what do you do for fun?"

The more Skye spoke of herself the more Cassius realized they had many details in common. "I am also an only child." he added in, while noting they both had the wealthy-family trait in common too. Although, Cassius may have started off rich with his family, since the age of fourteen all of the money in his various bank accounts were from his own winnings. It was proof that he didn't need his father's dirty money anymore, since now he had his own.
"Sounds like you keep very busy. They are all impressive activities. And I agree, I love spending money. It makes me laugh when people watch me spend large amounts at one time. I can see how they figuratively drool like pompous asses." Their jealousy gave him a good laugh- which was all that mattered really.
"As for myself.." he paused slightly while wondering if he should really get into what he did. Skye didn't seem like she was putting him on some kind of stupid angelic pedestal. So eh, the hell with it. He decided to be honest about his pastimes. "I'm a big gambler. I'm usually out all night making a living." And also satisfying his thrill needs. "I enjoy usual partying stuff, sleeping, eating.. Nothing nearly as fantastic as your own skills." He chuckled at her and waved his hands lightly. "What can I say, I've never been the prime example of goodness." But he was rich, young, and fantastic. Why did he need to behave?
He perked up when he noticed the ice cream shop just a block away. "You'll have to allow me to treat for the ice cream. I won't back down until you say yes." Fair warning, of course.

Skye was liking Cassius. She had found someone she could b***h with and laugh at all those pathetic people with. She couldn't help but vocally agree about how amusing it was when people were jealous of you spending lots of money. However as he went on and talked of gambling her view of him altered somewhat.
"A gambler? Any type?" Of course she had come across gambling before. It seemed to be something that people with money did often as they had too much money to do anything with it so why not loose it all. Skye personally saw no point in gambling money, she was sure there were better things to gamble like someone becoming her minion. Yes that was worth gambling.
"I must say I haven't been to many parties since starting school. Though I must agree there is something amazing about sleeping. If only we were allowed to at school!" Of course school meant there was a strict timetable.
She smiled as she saw the ice cream shop. She was looking forward to sitting down and chatting some more. This guy could become an interesting friend and a possible ally.
"I fear I must say yes then if you are to be that pushy!" She smiled, having no issue at all with being bought ice cream by a good looking boy. It would just be something to brag about when she got back to school as well.

Cassius fumbled around in his pockets before bringing up two shiny red dice. "Dice gambling is my specialty, but I do any kind really. And I end up winning a ton of cash." He winked at her before putting his trusty dice safely away. His success had molded him into who and what he was today. So far he'd been incredibly lucky with it all- and it kept getting better by the day.
So she wasn't a big party person? So far he'd run into quite a few girls who had never been to a party. He really couldn't believe how that was possible but it showed his priorities compared to everyone else in the town. He could also tell from her sentence that she was a good student if she went to class and such. He was one of the few who was consistently lazy.
He led her into the ice cream shop and allowed her a look at all of the flavors. After a few minutes of them standing there someone from across a counter appeared and asked them for their order. "Do you know what you'd like?" He lowered his eyes and thought about what he should order as well. Everything sounded good at the moment!
He took out some cash in preparation and listened to see what she'd choose.
Coming to the ice cream shop was a good choice since there were just a few people sitting down eating. It was much quieter then where they came from and Cassius was relieved.

((Sorry I swore I replied to this.. maybe gaia ate the post or something))
Skye just nodded she didn't know much about dice gambling, cards she knew a little about as she had watched her father play a couple of times without him noticing.
"Do you play cards at all?" She was curious, maybe they could play a card game at some point.
She smiled as they walked in to the shop and he asked her what she wanted. She loved the fact that he was buying her some ice cream. This would be so much fun, a chat and ice cream with a hot older guy. Oh yes this was a good day.
"Surprise me. I will go and find somewhere for us to sit." She smiled and turned towards a nice table that was in the corner by the window. It looked rather snug and so seemed perfect for Skye.

(( don't worry at all! <3 ))
"I love cards. I've played most cards games since I was little for recreation and fun." But then when his father taught him he could do these things for money, he was all set with a purpose. He loved the thrill of games. They made him feel alive and vulnerable, and yet when he won he loved the essence of being victorious over everyone.
When they entered the shop he was surprised to hear her trust in his judgement. He had no problem taking charge but he had no idea what her favorite flavors were. Or even worse, what flavors she didn't like.
When someone behind the counter asked Cassius if he needed help, Cassius leaned over and asked, "What's a popular flavor among girls?" The girl behind the counter thought for a moment and then said girls liked strawberry most. Skye didn't seem like every other girl so Cassius was torn.
His eyes finally came upon a flavor called 'Moose Tracks' which had chocolate, vanilla and chocolate chips in it. He figured nothing could be wrong with that since it had a little of everything. If she didn't like it he'd eat it and buy her something else. "How about a scoop of Moose Tracks for her, and I'll have a scoop of chocolate."
When the ice cream was given and all was paid, he brought it over to Skye and waited to see her reaction. "Its called Moose Tracks, what can I say, I took a gamble." He chuckled towards her and handed her a spoon. "If you don't like it let me know, I'll try something else."

"Maybe we could play cards sometime." She just threw the idea at him before she went and sat down to wait for him.
She watched him as she waited. She gave him a good looking over, from his hair, to his back, hips, legs... oh yes he was attractive. It made her smile. She was out with a hot guy and he was a half decent hot guy at that. She was up for playing some cards with him sometime, maybe they could even meet up again. She would like him as a friend.
As he came over she took the ice cream with a smile. She wasn't sure about the name of it but she was curious and was more then happy to try some. She took the spoon and tried a bit.
"Mmmmm" It tasted good. There was chocolate, which was always a good thing. It seemed that he had good taste. "It's lovely, do you want some?"

He was relieved to see her so happy. He dug into his own ice cream and grinned at how good it was. Apparently he was hungrier then he originally thought. "Oh thanks but I am good- I am glad you like it. Looks delicious!" He smiled at her before placing his dish back on the table. "I'd be down for playing cards any time by the way." It was nice to see someone relate to him, even if Skye was just being polite.
"So what kind of people do you like hanging out with?" If Skye came from a wealthy family then she probably was a bit picky on who she'd spend her time with. "You gotta be careful with some of the people in this city. There are some serious weirdos around."
Hopefully Skye kept herself safe at night when all of the creepy men were wandering around. She seemed tough and able to handle herself, which was a relief. "Once it gets warmer I'm sure everything will be more fun around here in general. Lots of swimming, boating and barbecuing. I can't function with freezing cold weather everyday. What about you? What season do you prefer most?" It may have been a random question, but a lot could be said about someone's favorite temperature.
