As far as Ladon could remember, he only had one pet, and not one most would consider worth mentioning. Gilbert the Goldfish had been the only animal life to enter the Shepard home, not counting a few incidents were a squirrel or mouse managed to get into the house. While he was all for larger, more fluffier animals, it was not meant to be. The main problem was cats, an animal that could send him sniffling and sneezing till he was gasping for breath. Deciding to be safe and putting all furry animals under one allergic roof, no furry friends were ever adopted or tucked under a Christmas tree.

It was why, in the quiet nights he was on patrol, that he would stand in an alleyway, waiting for the cats to clear, that he noticed a few dogs. The one in particular was a short little mutt, it’s body black with a white diamond on its chest, and a short coat. It had fleas and could have had rabies for all he knew, but he liked picking up some chicken nuggets from the store and feeding it to the mutt to break up the monotony of his patrols, watching it eat as he knelt down, watching as it devoured the treats. The animal never came close enough for him to pet, but he liked the idea of someone relying on him, if not the added pleasure of it actually being frightened of him.

On that night, he followed the same routine came to the back alleyway the animal usually lingered. There was an empty lot nearby that was cluttered with junk that he guessed was it’s home, and upon hearing the Lieutenant come, shaking the tiny box, it came out. “There we go.” He open the box and stepped away, kneeling down as he rubbed his hands for warmth. Winter was getting colder and colder.

Louisa was the opposite, she had always been surrounded by animals. She now had two dogs, two cats and a clan of degu's that had recently bred. Her house and room was a sanctuary to any animal of any sort. She generally spent her evening walking the two dogs, going home then 'going to bed' before going on patrol.

Today she on patrol and somewhat like Ladon she tended to feed the strays that she found as she went around. For some reason she had a way with animals, she knew how to gain their trust and it was something that meant she felt she could do some good for them as well as all the humans she ends up saving.

She had fed some stray cats already but only because it was feeding the cat day. She fed the dogs a different day, she knew where a few of them stayed. For now though she was looking for any youma's or any of the negaverse though she still hadn't met any negaverse. She was starting to wonder if any of them actually existed.

She wandered along a path, sticking to the shadows till she reached an alleyway. She looked down it before moving, firstly to check there was no one else there and secondly to check whether or not she needed to attack before going down. As she looked she heard something and so stopped. Someone was there. She sneaked in to the alley as quietly as she could and just watched trying to work out who this random person was.

It must have been a sight to see. A boy dressed in grays and blacks with a large bow around his neck and a few others dotting his uniform. It took a bit of imagination and a good time to really stare for anyone to consider it looked military in any way, but the truth remained that he was a Negaverser. It might be harder to think of him as such when he was kneeling down and reaching out, trying to get the mangy dog that was eating it’s treat to come near him. Unlike Sirius, he never was good with animals.

“Come here. Come.” He made a few noises to try and coax it over, and the more he knelt, moving to set one hand on the ground and reach, the dog only moved away farther and farther, still sniffing for more food but not in any way going near him. Impatient, he went forward, and in a moment, the dog dashed, moving further down the alleyway towards the empty lot where it lived.

Damnit! He rose up and made a move to come closer, but he dog was watching him. Temper rising, he looked about and found a Pepsi can. Grabbing it, he threw it at the dog, his aim terribly off as it clattered about, but it was enough to startle the dog to race back into the empty lot and disappear from sight. “See if I feed you again!” There were plenty more mutts in Destiny city anyways. Ones that were far more appreciative and would actually allow him to pet them.

Sirius watched the boy not really sure what to make of him at first. She narrowed her eyes as she watched him try to pet the dog and then throwing a can at it.

"Well it will never trust you now." She spoke confidently, she didn't realise that he was from the Negaverse, she had never met anyone from them so she wouldn't know. "Dogs take a while to trust you, you have to be calm, any anger or stress and they sense it." Yes she was telling him how to act around dogs. She could talk about animals all day. She stayed in the shadows though, partly to try and keep her own identity hidden a little. She knew normal people would call the police if they saw a senshi so was better to stay hidden.

She kept her eyes on him though, she wasn't about to let anything slip past her. She was also ready to hold whoever he was in her collar if need be but she had to give them a chance. Whether told to kill the negaverse or not, she was no murderer.

Sirius wasn’t the only one worried about cops, and he spun about, looking around the alleyway and to the shadows for the voice. It was one thing to be lectured on how to treat an animal, but it wasn’t another thing to be caught off guard. He really needed to start inspecting his alleyways more thoroughly. Whoever spoke was one of 3 options; a curious passerby who didn’t have any regard for their own safety, a cop, or a senshi. He doubted the first one. Citizens nowadays were terrified of terrorists and stuck to the suggested curfew most of the time. A cop would probably have his gun out and be telling him to get on the floor. If it was a senshi….wouldn’t they be throwing some magical attack at him?

Not sure as of yet, he waited, slipping his hand behind his back to summon the jump rope in his hand. “Is that right?” His eyes darted about as he back stepped. “And what do I have to do to gain your trust, Dr. Dolittle? Why are you hiding?” He kept his eyes peeled for movement and moved closer and closer to the empty lot to gain some distance.

Sirius watched the boy, slightly curiously. She was careful, always careful. She had to be after all she wasn't about to risk her life when she could be looking at someone from the negaverse. After all normal people weren't out at this time of night, well some of the younger ones went to the clubs but Sirius tried to stay clear of populated areas.

"Gain my trust? No one can gain my trust. It's a dog eat dog world out here. After all I have no idea who you are lurking in a dark alleyway. You could be someone who might want to kill me or you could be a nice person but I would rather not risk such things." She stayed in the shadows watching the boy carefully. She had her hands ready to shoot out the collar at a seconds notice. She knew the collar would bind him in place and then she could question him properly.

She moved towards him slightly, staying in the shadows, she could see something was in his hand but she couldn't see what and if he even attempted to move the words would leave her mouth. She generally attacked and asked questions later. She had even once trapped a senshi by mistake!

While it was aggravating that his uniform didn’t clearly state who he was, he at least felt more at ease in playing around with her lack of knowledge. She had no idea who he was which at least made it a bit equal. Even now, he could hear movement, but it was dark and the buildings that pressed around them created long shadows against the walls, but eventually she’d have to come into the light or run away. It was times like this he really wished he had a flashlight on hand.

“ I might be in a dark alleyway, but at least I’m not in the shadows. Have something to hide?” Who was this person? To play around like this, with him! The only thing stopping him from rushing into the shadows was the idea that he was dealing with a senshi. If it was one thing he knew, it was that senshi attacks could range from anything and they could either cripple you or tear you to shreds. He finally managed to heal from Libra’s scales, was still recovering from Regulus’s claw attack, and would much prefer to not sport any new bruises that he’d have to cover up.

Maybe it was time to not play around. If it was a human, he knew he could take them on. If it was a cop, he’d run off. Guns were something he couldn’t fight again. If it was a senshi, then he’d just see where it went.

“Maybe you want me to play a guessing game? Is that it – senshi?” This was getting old, and his patience was wearing thin. He wasn’t about to talk to shadows all night. Then again.....she didn't know who he was. Maybe this was a good thing.

"If you're a senshi, then there is no reason for us to dance around like this." He summoned his weapon away again, and held out his hands. If it was someone on his team, he could show his weapon and save himself. If not, then maybe he'd have a nice talk with a senshi for once. He really knew very little about them and this stranger seemed chatty.

Sirius watched him carefully. He had a point she was hiding in the shadows.

"Maybe it's just safer in the shadows." She watched him carefully, she really wasn't sure what would be the best way around this. After all she wasn't the best at fighting, her attack was purely defensive. Then again what would be the harm in moving so he could see her? If he was from the negaverse she could have him collared quick enough.

"Why would you say I was a senshi? I thought there were two terrorist groups running around the city." She continued to watch him and listened as he held out his hands. She had heard that all the Negaverse had a weapon even if they weren't very useful weapons.

She stepped out of the shadows. It was obvious who she was and part of her wasn't about to wait around for him to show who he really was. She was pretty sure he wasn't just a normal civilian because one he wasn't running and two he seemed stupidly calm.

"I am Sailor Sirius, Senshi of Canines and you are going no where." She then raised her hands and shouted the words that she was so use to. "Collar Bound!" Of course the attack would do nothing but trap him in a ring he couldn't get out of but it would give her the time she needed to decide who and what he was.

Senshi! He knew it! Part of him worried that it was a Negaverser, but his teammates would play such tricks on him after all, right? For her to stay in the shadows meant she was afraid. Afraid but still having a reason to stay around. Duty. It’s what had kept him here to find out who he was talking too, not to mention general curiosity. There was always the hope he would be meeting more Negaversers after all.

As she stepped out, he took her in. Long brown hair and fur covering her uniform. At the mention of canines, he wanted to raise his hands up at her and nod. That made sense. It seemed every senshi had a theme to their uniforms to match who they were. Regulus had the lions, and Libra had the scales and robe. Europa, she just looked normal. So he was guessing they pretty much all had costumes that worked with who they were, or was at least going with that guess. Either way, he felt he could play along with his little charade, that was until he was thrown at attack.

At first, he felt nothing, but that never made him feel better. Sometimes they took a while. Then there was nothing and he started to get confused. “Well that didn’t do anything.” He started to move and was quickly pushed back. Confused, he reached out and felt as if he was being pushed back. He was in an invisible box?!

“Oh, that’s not fun.” Not fun in that he couldn’t escape. Not fun in that she had him exactly where she wanted him and he couldn’t reach her. It wasn’t like he could shout and attack her from afar. The most he had was his jump rope and he didn’t think it could break whatever this invisible force was. Was he stuck here?!

A shot of panic rushed into his system, but he tried to stay calm. She might still think he was a senshi. He could play with that. He hadn’t shown his weapon, and she might drop down the …did she say it was a collar? Oh, the irony of his name was not lost on him.

“So you’re the senshi of canines?” He continued to watch her, buying time. Crap. He had to say he was a senshi too, but what theme did his uniform go with? He was dressed in grays and had bows everywhere! What had bows?! Quick. THINK OF SOMETHING!

Fake name. Fake name. Fake name! “I’m Sailor Gagarion.” Okay, it was something. Now what had bows?!!! “Senshi of Presents.” CRAP! Why did he think of presents?! Stupid bows! This was all their fault!

Now she could see him properly she could watch him and try to work out who he really was. As for being a senshi, she didn't buy it. He wasn't at the meeting and she would have recognised him if he were at the meeting. There were so few boys, she tended to remember them better then any of the others. However that didn't mean she wasn't game to play along for a bit.

"Senshi of presents?" She hoped there was no such thing. She was sure their power would be as useless as hers when it came to a fight.

"Who woke you then?" Of course Sirius generally didn't question senshi, apart from Aquarius but she was an odd senshi. A zodiac or something but she had been collared and questioned. It was the safe way of doing things. Collar then question later.

Improvising wasn't his strong suit. He could take a trash can lid and us it when he was in a dire situation or throw dirt, but when it came to being tricky with words, he usually failed. Right now was no different, and the fact that he knew very little about senshi in the first place didn't help matters. For a moment, he wondered how far he could guess, but it was such a specific question that he was left with with nothing. He knew how he was made, but he didn't think that senshi had their starseeds touched at all. Did they follow the same method that created them? Was there a Nega and Senshi switch on starseeds that, depending on where you flipped, made you a different person? He also wondered who was at the head of the senshi, and he just went for parallels. If the Negaverse had a Queen, who was to say the senshi didn't.

"The Queen." He decided, shrugging as is if this was a simple question, but really he was making a weak guess. If she fought him, she fought him. If she went with it, he'd continue. He really had no options here.
PostPosted: Sun Mar 07, 2010 2:22 am

The queen? Really? She rolled her eyes. She might not have been the most up to date senshi on the information of well anything but she knew the queen wasn't here and they were trying to find the princess, where ever she was. It was also the cats that were awakening senshi so it was obvious whoever this guy was, he wasn't a senshi.

"I don't know who you are but I will let you go. I know you are no senshi, that much is obvious." She wasn't sure if this was wise but she couldn't stand there all day she would be exhausted.

"So if you promise to leave, I will let you go. Otherwise we might be here a long time." This was a stupid idea, she knew it was. She could hear a voice at the back of her mind screaming at her not to do it. To stay where she was, to stay away from him but she was also Louisa, and that girl had issues hurting others.

Wait. She wasn't going to hurt him even after she knew he wasn't a senshi? Sweet. He didn't know if he should be happy he had such good luck or wondering if this senshi was off her rocker. Even though he was new to the Negaverse business, he still knew he would never let an enemy go that easily. A fight was an obligation just from the fact they were enemies. He wasn't doing his part, his duty, if he just let a senshi go. Outnumbered or unsure, he still went after a senshi.

"I'll promise I'll go." ..after I linger around a bit longer. If this was her only attack, then there were no surprises. Then again, she did know not to trust him, and if she caught him this way again, he would really be out of luck. It still didn't mean he could test it out a bit. She didn't seem the fighting type, and he was feeling a bit curious. Rarely did he get to talk to the senshi.

"What threw you off first that I wasn't a senshi?" he pointed out, wondering how he could perfect his act if he ever had to use it for the future.
PostPosted: Thu Mar 11, 2010 1:41 am

She watched him carefully but she had no reason to not believe him and so she moved back in to the shadows and as she did so, she let the collar go. She managed to clamber up on to the buildings roof, loving the fact that she could just jump on and off roofs.

She wasn't going anywhere though, she didn't trust him and she sure as hell wasn't going to stick around and answer his question. The fact that he was trying to pretend to be a senshi set her alarms off but she couldn't attack him from where she was, it wasn't practical. Her collar held him in place but she couldn't get to him till she dropped the collar and that gave him a chance to get ready to attack.

She crouched down on the roof watching him carefully. If he showed himself to be dodgy then she would attack, if not then he could go. Was simple really.

The senshi didn't respond, instead moving back into the shadows she had favored before jumping up to a nearby roof. Not impressive given the fact he could do the same, but he didn't get why she hadn't bothered to fight him. If she thought he was a Lieutenant, didn't she feel any obligation to fight him. Seemed lazy to him which only made him think less about the enemy.

Seeing her far off, he tested the barrier and when he reached out, felt nothing there just as he should be. Stepping forward a few paces, he looked back up before straightening his uniform, tugging his shirt down and looking about. That seemed easy enough.

"You seem pretty afraid for a senshi. I didn't even do anything yet." He COULD go after her and see if he could take down what could be a weak senshi, but how would he manage against a barrier like that? His weapon wasn't something he could throw. Not without loosing it. After that, he was pretty much a sitting duck.

Kicking off, he leaped up to a nearby roof neighboring the one Sirus was on. Jumping that easily wasn't something a normal human could do. "Not even a goodbye?"
