Seems like they payed attention to the ones who stick with the old style of gameplay XD. I hope they don't spoil the voices, and that they'll use good music.
Anyways, I can't wait for it to come out. And let's see if they conserve the chaos emerald system of the old games too.

From what I've been able to dig up on the game, I've discovered the following information.
-It will be released in episodes, the first episode will be released Summer 2010.
-It is available for download EXCLUSIVELY. It will be on all next-gen consoles, and your console must be connected to the internet to purchase.
-The storyline takes place soon after Sonic and Knuckles.
-Inspired by the Sega Genesis era.
-Sonic is the only playable character.
-It will feature some of the original badniks.
I will continue to update you as time rolls by.

Yeah, and as far as I know, it will be available for WiiWare, Playstation Network and Xbox Live Arcade. There's another system, but they haven't announced it yet.
Also, it seems like he will improve his best creation for this game (that gave me a few ideas, like metal sonic or a new death egg... it can be anything)
