This was a trek Other knew quite well, humming happily as she climbed up the single flight of stairs to Val's apartment. The apartment that was gradually becoming emptier and emptier while her house just filled with more of their things and boxes in a few of the rooms. It was a fine trade, she was so excited to have him and Miranda moving in with her. Lately though Other had been coming here with or for Val, this time was a different kind of excitement; she'd promised and arranged a special girls only day with Miranda! Other's hands lifted to rest on her growing stomach, which now had a noticeable bulge to it when someone really looked at it. Or when she didn't wear loose fitting dresses like the one she had on now.

Other's hands gently rubbed at her belly as she walked up to the door of Val's apartment, the biggest smile on her face. One hand still on her stomach, the other lifted to knock at the door, it just so happened to be her left hand. She blinked, looking at the ring on her finger. She squealed with delight when she saw it, hopping a bit on her toes and bringing her hand back to her tummy and rubbing at it again while she waited for one of them to answer.

The door opened and Other's gaze immediately turned down, gasping with delight and bending over to hug the little rat-girl tight before she even began to greet her, the biggest smile on her face. "Miranda~!" She squealed, nuzzling her cheek against the little girl's. She was always happy to see Val and visit here, but it'd been ages since she saw Miranda! She'd missed her terribly! Other laughed a little at Miranda's chatter about the couch, kissing the girl's temple and peeking around her at Val as she still held the child. "Well I have couches, so that's okay. He's giving them to someone else. Oooh, Miranda I've missed you soooo much!" Other gave her an affectionate squeeze before she stood up again, keeping herself slightly bent over to hold her tiny hands in her own as she heard Val greet her as well. She blushed at his words, gently swinging Miranda's hands until she let go of one and lifted the other around in a way that spun her around, nudging her into the apartment so Other wasn't just standing in the doorway.

"Hiii~!" She waved, and while normally she would have flit over to greet him with the customary hug and kiss on the cheek she was currently busy with the very happy little girl she was still holding hands with. He would have to come to her tonight. Luckily tonight was a good night for girls day, it was one of her 'Okay' days, she had had the usual morning sickness but only once and then she felt perfectly fine. And she still felt fine! "How are you both?" Other asked cheerfully, twirling Miranda again just because she could. Obviously Other was in a very good mood.

Other just couldn't get over how adorable Miranda was! She turned her warm smile down to Miranda as she told her how happy she was to see her, bending at her knees again to kiss on top of her head between her ears. "And I'm very happy to see you, Miranda~!" It was the truth, she was always happy to see Val and always, always would be, but she had only talked to Miranda on the phone lately! It'd been ages since she actually saw her! And now they got to have a whole day and sleepover together~! She was extremely excited. She giggled and looked around at all the boxes scattered throughout the room, honestly surprised to see there was still so many. She had only moved out of her parents' apartment, there hadn't been much for her to pack up since they still lived there, guess Val had more stuff than she thought he did.

...Then again, some of the rooms she'd been in she hadn't seen much of...no! Bad thoughts! She was holding hands with a child!

Miranda's words made her laugh, squeezing her tiny hands. "Divine punishment? It was my fault, Miranda. I'm sorry~." It kind of was. Only one time had it not been Other's suggestion Miranda not come, but she had very good reasons! One was for her safety! The other um...well...it was just best that she not be there. "Mhm! Just you and me. You even get to sleep with me in my bed!" Other informed her happily as she let go of Miranda's hands and gently pat her back. "Do you have everything packed and ready~?" She waited for Miranda's answer, watching her get her things and taking a moment to walk over to Val and give him the hug she hadn't had the chance to give him. Oooh she loved this man! Other hopped up on her toes to give him a soft kiss, smiling warmly up at him.

"I love you~." Other said quietly against his lips, kissing him again. "Do you want me to bring her back here tomorrow or are you going to come over?"

It seemed Other wasn't going to win this one despite her really believing all this was her fault. So this was what children were like? She wasn't complaining, merely learning. She'd probably know a little more if she hadn't just grown up with kids shows where all children were perfect little angels who sang songs about what to have for lunch and sharing. Oops. Silly Other. Other giggled and watched Miranda run off, reaching out to catch her as she stumbled.

"You think?" Other blushed and swayed with Val, her head against his chest and her eyes closed. This was nice, she couldn't wait to be able to do it all the time. "B-but most of it was me saying it'd be best for her not to be there." She said quietly, pouting. Oh well, it seemed there be no changing Miranda's mind even Val was telling her arguing was useless. She just didn't want Miranda to be upset with Val for something not entirely his fault! That didn't seem fair at all. Was she like this when she was Miranda's age? She couldn't remember. She was comfortable listening to Val's heartbeat while Miranda was busy gathering her things, her hands gently rubbing up and down his back.

She was very excited to hear he'd be the one coming over tomorrow, tilting her head back to look up at him with a big smile. "Okay~!" She suddenly gasped and perked up again, bouncing on her toes and looking up at him with wide eyes. "Oh! Look!" Or rather feel, in this case. Other stepped back enough to give a little space between her and Val, taking his hand and pressing it against her stomach. It wasn't too big or anything, but there was a very noticeable bump developing there that hadn't always been there. She beamed up at him, blushing again. Miranda would get more chances to poke at it today, but she wanted Val to have his chance too! Her smile softened and she looked down at her stomach again, resting her own hands around the little bump. That was their baby! Well, sort of. It wasn't much of a baby yet but it was getting there!

She doubted it was like this for her parents, so to see the look on Val's face and even in his eyes made Other blissfully happy. He actually looked proud, and excited! God, she loved him. Other looked down again at his hand on her stomach, sighing happily. She squeaked and looked at Val when he said she was beautiful, her cheeks hot and flushed. So even with the bump she was beautiful? He really meant it? Wow! He was about to be given another kiss when something squeezed between them by their legs, blinking and taking a little step back just as Miranda made her announcement. She laughed, getting down on one knee to help her zip up her coat. It was cold out, couldn't let her get sick! "So you have everything? I'm glad~." Other giggled, kissing Miranda's forehead and petting her hair.

Other looked up at Val when he asked if he could get proper goodbyes from the two of them, then turned her gaze to Miranda again with a soft laugh. "Well he's going to be alone all night. Packing. Aloooone. While you and I have fun without him." She lightly brushed her fingers over Miranda's cheek, moving her hair away. "I think that deserves at least a little hug and a kiss, don't you?"

Other made a little noise of approval as she listened to Miranda explain about her medication. Val had told her how it worked, and when it should be taken, but unfortunately Other didn't have any pills that she could just swallow to do it like he did. Sigh. Miranda would be fine doing it by herself, right? Sh-she'd be fine! She laughed softly and stood back up as Miranda gave her little sigh and grudgingly hugged Val, clasping her hands behind her back and watching the pair with a smile. He was such a good daddy, it made her happy to know that at least one of them would have some idea of what they should do when the baby was born. Because like hell did Other have any idea!

When it was her turn to say goodbye she happily returned the hug and the kiss, giving him an affectionate squeeze before she let him go. "Have fun with your parents~." Other teased, giggling and kissing his chin. After that she turned away to reach for Miranda's hand, holding it securely and glancing back at Val to wave. "See you tomorrow, Val. I love you~!" She chirped at him and turn lead Miranda out of the apartment after making sure she had everything just one more time, swinging their hands a little after they were down the stairs and heading out of the building.

"What would you like to do first, sweetheart~? Want to drop off your stuff at home?" Naturally by 'home' she meant her house, and it was just something natural for her to say. Not like there was anything wrong with that, right? It would be their home soon too, and even though they weren't entirely moved in yet they could still call it home now anyway! Right?

"I love you too!" Other chirped back, giving a nod when he told them to call if they had any trouble. She would keep it in mind but Other doubted anything would give them trouble, at worst it would just be mischief! She giggled at Miranda's assurance that she was always good, squeezing her hand affectionately. As far as Other knew Miranda really was always good.

Home it was! It made her really happy to hear Miranda call her house home; the words made her heart flutter and feel a great deal of content, like it just...fit. It was right. She loved it! "Have you eaten yet~?" Other asked as she lead Miranda in the direction of home, hoping she wasn't asking too many questions. This was a learning experience for her! If Miranda was hungry then..would she want a cooked meal or did she want to go out to eat? Ohhh so many things to ask! What if Miranda got annoyed by it? Gah! No! Don't think like that, Other!

Her internal fretting almost caused her to miss Miranda's question, but it was 'Mami' that got her full undivided attention. "Hmm?" Other looked down at her stomach and put her free hand on it, a serene smile on her lips. Did it hurt? No, it was the exact opposite. "Not at all. I mean...I have been sick because of it...but that's just my body getting used to having another life in it. It'll go away." She explained gently, still smiling. "But don't worry, I'm fine. Would you like to feel it? It isn't much yet though, it'll get bigger and soon you'll even feel the baby move!" That was something she really couldn't wait to experience. Her own baby, hers and Val's, kicking and punching and moving around in her belly! The two were stopped before a crosswalk, and while no cars were coming Other was waiting anyway to give Miranda a chance to feel the beginning signs of her little brother or sister.
