Randy2love:

Olayinka had just finished with a leopard male no more then a week ago. It had been a welcome relife but the urge hadn't quelled. She prowled along the edge of the savvanah relentlessly searching for either another meal, a fight, or maybe if she was lucky another leopard. She'd made a fresh kill no more then an hour ago and it was laiden up in a tree waiting for her return. But for now she was good cleaning herself of the blood and enjoying the cool evening air.

Cajanic:

Konje was bored. The day was dull and uneventful. Where were all the challengers? Where were the other leopards when you needed them? He heaved a sigh to himself, wandering slowly around the rogue lands in a large circle. At least it gave him something to do, his seeing how deeply he could leave a path in the earth by walking in the same pattern. Then, stopping, he gave the air a good sniff, ears perked forward.

Blood. He could smell blood.

Looking over his shoulder, he saw a lady leopard heading his way. Male versus female wasn't exactly even, but maybe he could find something they could do together. Smiling, he wandered forward towards her. "Hey! did you just make a kill? I can smell it! What was it? I bet I can kill something bigger."

Randy2love:

Olayinka paused when she saw a spotted male trot toward her. His words made her lip pull up in a sneer before she snorted. "I made a kill earlier." She responded sitting on her haunches and licking at her paaw. "It was an gazelle and I doubt it.... but if that's a challenge." She smirked slightly looking over her paw before putting back down on the ground.

Cajanic:

"Yes!" He hummed, "It's a challenge! It's most certainly a challenge! Let's find something larger I can take down if you don't think I can do it! Bigger than a gazelle? That's easy! Easy for me, anyway. I'm Konje. It's only polite you know my name since I'm going to beat you. What's your name?" He sat down beside her, though he was obviously eager to go about hunting to prove himself in front of the female. Smiling, he let his long tail wrap around his paws, his posture straight as he waited for her response.

Randy2love:

Certainly an energetic creature, she noted watching him. She looked upwards and away from him when he sat. "We'll see about that. If you can take down something then -I- surely can take down something even larger." When he sat she gazed at him from the corner of her eye. It would be lying if she said he didn't already catch her fancy. She pushed herself up and began to walk, pausing with a flick of her tail, for him to follow. "Olayinka. Remember it since it will be the name of the one who beats you at your challenge."

Cajanic:

"Humph!" Konje grunted in response, "no one ever beats me! Especially not a girl! Just you wait- you're going to be eating your words when I'm eating my nice, big kill!" He wasn't even that hungry, he'd only just eaten, but it was too impossible for him to pass up a challenge. Particularly because he had been the one to call her out on said challenge. Getting up, he followed after her, keeping himself close so she didn't think that he was going to flee before getting the challenge under way. Also, he liked her body. It was pale and nice.

Randy2love:

The female actually laughed. A sound that came out like she was trying to hide it and didn't do it often. She quickly shook her head and looked over her shoulder at him. "We'll see about that, Spots." A challenge was just what she needed to work out her stress and show off her skills. A perfect oppertunity. "So what is it you want to go after, hm? A waterbuck? A zebra? Or maybe you should start smaller."

Cajanic:

Konje wasn't sure what to make of the sound that had come from her. A laugh? He could laugh better than that! Smiling, he huffed as she called him Spots, though, really, couldn't do much against it. After all, he did have spots... so the nickname made a good deal of sense. But he wasn't going to go around calling her "Pretty" just because she was.

That would be silly.

"I can take down a zebra no problem! I've done it plenty of times before!" he said with a grin, "don't you worry about me starting small. I think you're the one who should take it easy. Wouldn't want those delicate paws getting messed and worn!"

Randy2love:

Olayinka rose an eyebrow toward him. "Oh?" She questioned and rubbed against a tree she went by. The next comment had her belt out a loud 'ha!'. "Trust me, Spots, you don't have to worry about me. I can take down anything you can ten times better. I might just take down the strongest zebra while you focus on the little old sick ones."

Cajanic:

"Puh! How can you say that after looking at me?!" Konje hummed, moving himself in front of her to put himself on display. "Look at the muscle on my body! How lean and fit I am! You're in good shape, I'll give you that, but you'll never compare to this fine form! My body was built for hunting! Now just you watch." He turned at that, running his tail under her chin as he moved forward to find them a good group of zebras to hunt from. "I'll take down the biggest one!"

Randy2love:

She did a servay of him when he presented himself. Well he certainly was in good shape. She dug her claws into the ground and shook when she felt his tail brush against her. "If you say so." She said as though unconvinced of such a thing. After all she deemed her self the better hunter already. Pride wouldn't let some cocky male beat her. She trailed after him waiting for him to find something.

Cajanic:

After a small time spent searching, Konje eventually noticed a herd of zebra by a water hole not far from them. They seemed like as good a target as any, with plenty of tall grass to hide out in all around them. A couple were on guard, which made it that much more exciting. "We'll go at the same time," he hummed, "if you want. Pick whatever one you think is biggest. Then we'll compare once we both make our kills! That way we won't scare em off one before the other. Sound good?" Of course it did- he was a master planner. Kind of. Not really. But he liked to think he was really good at it, just like he liked to think that he was really good at everything.

Randy2love:

The idea of leopards hunting as a team was foriegn to Olayinka but then she realized they weren't. It was just a compettion. She scanned the herd and located a prime target. He looked big and strong. "Fine. Just stay out of my way." She groused and started to slip deeper and closer in the grass. With two of them hunting the strikes would have to be percise else the other would spook the entire herd. She glanced over at his form. His spots blended in almost perfectly in the grass and she almost couldn't find him. Good thing it wasn't a camouflage competition. She squared herself and waited for his signal before lanching into action.

Cajanic:

Leaning down, he stalked through the tall grass, keeping his tail low so it wasn't seen by the prey animals who were on the look out for things like the two of them. Danger. They were on the lookout for dangerous things, little realizing what was heading their way right at that moment. His target was a large zebra towards the middle of the herd. A tricky target, but he couldn't go for one of the smaller ones on the outside when he saw one so perfect. Spotting Olayinka, he readied himself, giving her a nod before springing out to attack his target, hoping she would have launched herself at the same time. It would be no fun if she couldn't even catch her target because he had gone too early.

Randy2love:

Olayinka was almost surprised when her zebra let out a whinney of terror as her jaws sank deep into its flesh and her claws wrapped round its neck. Her weight brought it down and a very short wrestling match ensued before the snap and cruch of bone was heard. She looked up quickly to see if the male hand landed his target.

Cajanic:

Leaping forward, he charged himself towards the large male he had targeted, ignoring the smaller zebra as they shot all around him in a panic. No, they weren't his target. The one he was after turned to run, Konje moving in and springing on top of it with relative ease. It was a lot larger than he had anticipated, though, and was almost thrown right off again. Luckily, he managed to sink his jaws into the animal's neck as he rolled over its neck, clinging to the side of the large beast, who was yelping and bucking. It charged into a rock, which Konje felt scrape against his shoulder blade. Ignoring it, he held on until the zebra grew tired and collapsed to the floor, dying from the blood loss and the fact that it couldn't breathe with Konje's jaws so tightly wrapped around its neck.

Randy2love:

It was clear who's animal was larger from the fight. Olayinka let out a growl under her breath and waited until the dust settled before trotting over. Had they both gone after even larger animals they might have been killed. As it was it was lucky that they'd both managed to avoid the devestating hooves of the beasts. She sniffed at the other for any source of crippling injuries. Finding none she instead focused on his shoulder and give it a quick cleaning with her tongue. It wasn't like he could reach it.

Cajanic:

Panting, Konje sat himself down beside his kill, proudly licking the blood from his mouth as he waited for Olayinka to join him. It amused him greatly that she seemed annoyed- was his kill bigger? It had been difficult to bring down, so he imagined it must have been. He watched her clean his shoulder, providing no protest. It was a little scraped, some lost fur, but nothing that wouldn't scab over and eventually heal up. Scared were awesome in his book. Showed how serious you were about what you were doing. "I guess I won, huh?" he asked with a wide grin, peering over his shoulder at her. Because she was so close to it, it brought their faces rather near one another.

Randy2love:

Olayinka blinked when he was suddenly so close and quickly looked away. "For now. I just missed and hit the wrong one." She lied and bumped him. "Hurry up, let's get these to the trees before something gets them." She began to walk toward her kill but her eyes were focused back on him dark with curiosity.

Cajanic:

"Uh huh," Konje hummed, "well next time I'll let you think of the contest. You might have a better shot of winning if you come up with it!" but he wasn't convinced of that: he was such a bad a**. There wasn't a contest out there he couldn't win. Except the ones he'd already lost, of course, but obviously they didn't count. "Hm? Oh, I guess... I wasn't really going to eat it. It was just the contest! I think I'll leave it for someone else to have. Unless you want it, of course. I'm mean, it's a lot of meat!" He beamed at that, proud.

Randy2love:

The leoprardess paused for a moment to stare at the kills. They'd killed for nothing more then a contest but on the savannah nothing would go to waste. "What mkes you think we'll have a next time?" She questioned returning to him with interest. "I may later if it strikes me."

Cajanic:

"Oh, come on, don't you want to even the score? There's got to be a next time! Otherwise I'll think lowly of you, and you don't want that. You have to prove yourself to be as strong as I think you are! You know?" He continued to grin, moving his way towards her, closing the distance since she had paused. "I can drag this up a tree for you, no problem. But only if you want it!"

Randy2love:

She rolled her eyes though there was a note of humor in them. "Oh of course not...I don't think I could live knowing you thought lowly of me." She responded sarcastically. "I can easily prove how strong I am." She said looking very much like she was going to pounce him. "I'm a big girl. I can do it on my own."

Cajanic:

"Exactly!" Konje replied, completely serious, "so it's better we keep this little contest going." Of course, if she beat him at something, he would have to beat her at something too, just to feel better about himself. It was something that would really have no end in his opinion, unless she got bored with it and tried to avoid him. It was easy to lose someone in a place so massive.

He wasn't even sure he would see her again even if she wanted him to.

Noting the way she was looking at him, he wiggled his butt, lowering his front end towards the ground. "Oh really? You look like a prissy thing to me! You look like you should have a strong male to help take care of you!"

Randy2love:

He was really a piece of work. Totally convinced they were locked into some type of game. She smirked she could play a long for a little bit. It wasn't like she had any real place to be. Seeing him take the same position she steadied herself. "There's only one thing I need a male for, Spots and I don't know if you're up to -that- challenge."

Cajanic:

"I'm up to any challenge!" he replied, though he wasn't completely oblivious to her meaning. His smile shifted somewhat, becoming more sly. "What makes you think I wouldn't be good at -that- kind of challenge? You've seen my body!" He grinned and kept himself ready, though he imagined it wasn't a scuffle they were about to get into. "Come on, then, missy. I'll show you what I'm made of!"

Randy2love:

"That's what has me convinced you wouldn't be any good." She says grinning slightly. She didn't wait for an invatation to pounce and try to start a small scuffle though its obvious by the way she's brushing against him and biting exactly how she wants this fight to end.
