Despite what 'Luna' had said, Sailor Corvus did not stick around the auditorium after the 'mandatory meeting' long enough for anyone to approach her about working together. She doubted that there even was anyone, mind you, but had there been she would have expressed her displeasure and walked off anyways. It just wasn't a good night for arguments or a** pats... It was too late and she was going to have to come up with some excuse for sleeping through her first class.
With a fluid movement that she was now becoming more and more at ease with she sprung up onto the roof of the gym, finding a nice part of the ledge to hide behind before sitting down. Once her thoughts were clear, once more people had left, she would return to her own dorm room. As it was, she didn't want to know how many of the fifty plus senshi were now sneaking back into Crystal Academy. She didn't want to be exposed as one of them... It was just too much of a risk.

The sound of a thump, and approaching feet were probably sufficient indication that someone had been paying more careful attention to her retreat than she might have liked, and shortly would be accompanied by the sight of a familiar senshi with washboard abs and what Charys tended to refer to as 'A glamrock cape'. (Of which Oddy Corlione, aka Sailor Eridanus was ridiculously proud.)
"Hey, don't blow a hole in me, ok?" He joked, as he approached, holding up both hands in a gesture of surrender. "Just checking in. You made tracks in a pretty big hurry. Whats up?"

Her eyes lifted towards the sound, hand poised on the rooftop beside her so that she could push herself up in an instant if the source was a dangerous one... Or simply burn through whatever it was with the power of her glare. She did neither, instead leaning back so that she could rest her arms on her knees once more.
"Didn't you hear? I'm the goddamn batman." Her smirk was just a little bit more on the side of bitter than it was on the side of amusement at the moment. "Batman never sticks around long after he makes himself known... Although now might be a good time to work on making that Senshi signal if you're going to insist on meeting me on rooftops."
She paused for a moment, a bit of her bitterness fading as she spoke again, eyes falling from the senshi ahead of her to the roof he was standing on. "And I don't think I could blow a hole in you if I wanted to, unless you came up here to throw the first punch... Although something tells me you're not the sort of guy who'd hit a lady." She hoped, at the very least, as she wasn't in the mood for that either.

"Well maybe not with your magic but you've got some serious heels going on." He pointed out with a grin. "And I'll get right to work on the Senshi Signal. I've got a big flashlight and some construction paper. Should work great!"
His face grew more serious as he moved over to sit across from her, legs folded up as though he were about to start chanting "Ohm" instead of what he did do.
"I want you to find yourself a "Robin", Batman." It was blunt. It was to the point, and it was so serious that most people would have been forced to stop and question the pure 'pod people' moment of it, save that she wasn't familiar enough with him to know how rare this was.
"I knew Sidra Winters. And I've had to visit people I've known for years, in the hospital. Totally ******** up and on IV's. I don't want to add you to that list, Corvus. I really, REALLY don't." He leaned forward, to very gently put a hand on her arm, eyes pleading. "Please?"

"One would think you'd have to know who I was beneath all of this in order to find out I was in the hospital..." Her voice was low as she let her gaze rise from his folded legs back up to his face now that he was on the same level as she was. "I think Batman knew what he was getting himself into, more than any of us do, really. That list they rattled off? Expecting us to kill? Eridanus... Some of those Senshi sitting in those bleachers... They weren't more than children."
She prided herself on sticking to her guns by not reacting to how he had reached out to her. This was a gorgeous guy showing care and concern and she was brushing him off? Somewhere deep inside of Sailor Corvus a teenage girl named Cordelia Carden was losing her mind at the realization.
"I meant what I said in the gym. I don't work well with others. I won't risk someone getting hurt because the most I can do is pick up a branch to swing at a monster while they're doing their best by firing off attacks."

"Batman had Robin." He pointed out, which in his mind, covered the 'children part'. "I can't say I'm on board with killing people either, not if there's any chance at all, undiscovered, that might let us un-corrupt them, but I'm also definitely not on board with someone throwing themselves under the train because of what MIGHT happen. If they don't get hurt, you -definitely- will, and one of these times it might be really serious. Besides, I've gone a bit improv myself before." He added, with an ghost of his usual incandescent smile. "Remind me to tell you about the time I used a trash can lid." He raised both eyebrows, trying to coax her into relaxing, hoping it would make her open up to the suggestion. "Point is, even the Senshi that CAN use magic right off, it's wearing, and none of us are bullet proof."
The smile faded away to seriousness again. "We all sure thought we were once, but more and more they're proving us wrong. At least you know how to think outside the box already. That's not a bad thing to bring to the fight. Anyway I think you're writing yourself off too fast. We worked together just fine."

"A trash can lid? Really?" Her brow lofted slightly. "No wonder why you were so good with helping me take out the trash...." For a moment there was a trace of a smile on her lips; just barely, but enough to let him know that maybe he was starting to crack her.
It was gone just as soon though and she was soon pulling her arm back so that she could push herself up to her feet, eyes scanning the city line before lifting to the stars. "That could have been a fluke, you know. Is dumb luck really something you can practice getting better at? I could have lost another Senshi if I hadn't managed to goad the monster that was after her into lashing out at me... What if I'm not willing to be the reason why others wind up putting themselves at risk even more than they're already at? Why would someone want to take that risk?"
She already knew the answer, deep down. It was the same reason why she'd taken the risk in order to 'rescue' the other senshi. They were all in this together...

"Maybe because we're -not- Kunzite, and we aren't willing to let people die if we can avoid it?" He would have toustled her hair, but figured she'd stab him with the black rose. "Powers aren't the only thing that make people work well together. Kunzite is powerful, but I don't see hooking up with her. Nerisa is powerful, but she needs someone a little more serious so the two of us don't go spent the night tagging ways with stuff like 'Senshi Rules, Negaverse Drools'." He gave her a slight nudge on the arm and winked. "I mean I'm really more of a "Nightwing" than a Robin... but if you want we can give it another round and see how we do." He suggested. "If thats ok."

"Kunzite is a b***h." She snorted, eyes narrowing as she took a moment to cross her arms over her chest, making it quite clear that the Cavalier had not left a good impression on Sailor Corvus. Of course, that angry stance faded quickly and she soon seemed slightly embarrassed by her little outburst.
"... I'm sorry. I really don't know Kunzite enough to throw around words like that, but..." She shook her head, brushing gloved fingers slowly back through her hair. "I don't agree with anything that she said. There's no need to treat us all like we're incompetent. I doubt the Princess would have had she been there..."
And then there he was, smiling and nudging and she found herself a little bit more at ease once more, even offering him a little bit of her own smile. "... Well, I guess if you're admitting that you see yourself as being a little bit more like Nightwing than Robin I should probably admit that I'd much rather be the goddamn Batgirl as opposed to Batman. I don't think Batman would know what to do in heels."

"Batman." Eridanus agreed with the solemnety usually reserved for the selection of a pope. "Would look damn awkward in heels. It almost sounded like he might politely ignore the comment about Kunzite, but he shook his head and added. "You're right, that was totally uncalled for from the Cav. Maybe... MAYbe shes got valid points, but she's one of the only ones that was there with that kind of b***h-baggage. Maybe thats why Asrea thinks we all suck, but we're new to the game, we aren't killers... and I don't see why we shouldn't try for another option."

She couldn't help but smile as her eyes slid from the sky to the senshi standing not far from her. Something about him seemed to serve as a reminder that beneath the costumes and enchantments they were people. They were students; teenagers with real interests, and maybe even real hopes and real dreams unrelated to the Silver Millennium and its Moon Princess.
"He would, wouldn't he." She laughed, shaking her head slowly before bringing one hand up to stifle a yawn. "We probably should get going. I think enough people have left now that we should be able to make our own escapes into obscurity... I plan on patrolling Destiny City Park again over the weekend. If you're feeling adventurous and you're serious about wanting to partner up... Bring a flashlight." She smirked.

"Sounds good. I'll break out some scissors and my good flashlight and get right on it." He grinned again, back to that incandescent flash of teeth so bright he might as well have taped a bat-symbol to his mouth, and achieved the same result.
"I'll keep an eye out for you at the park. Take care ok?" He unfolded from his seat and stood up to stretch, heading back for the edge of the roof. "Give my regards to Comissioner Gordon in the mean time."

"I'll do that." Was that... The sound of laughter? Coming from Corvus? It was! She seemed completely caught up in his smile, mood lightening considerably as she shook her head, waving him off. "Get out of here, Eridanus, before someone hears the two of us enjoying ourselves and we find ourselves on the receiving end of another lecture."
Still smiling she turned so that she could head to the opposite end of the roof before jumping down. The sensation would have frightened her before but now? Now it was just another part of her evening routine, just like sneaking back into Crystal Academy which she was now off to do.
