Stick after stick and the 'hideout' was no where near, done. Zeeke gave a huge 'huff' his lungs filled up with steamy air, and his mind continued to try work out some faster way of creating the gangs hideout. It had to be AMAZING... PERFECT! Or else, it would just simply not do! Zeeke shook his head to the side, letting the multi coloured bangs slide out of the way of the two dark sockets. He studied the mix of branches, intertwining each other and gripped one large one with his teeth. Tugging and even more tugging till it slipped from underneath the stack only to send half of his work so far clambering to the ground! "GAAAAH! NOOOO OH FOR THE GOOD L-" He sighed, and jumped onto the stack, stomping it down into splintered wood. Irritation seething.

"I spent so much valuable time working on this thing too." He pouted. Coming to a complete stand still. He didn't want to admit it but... He needed help. If only he had a whole gang here, helping him.

The day consisted of leisurely activities and Searlait was beginning to grow wary of such days. Both of her brothers were often too busy with their own outlandish behavior to spend any time with their little sister, though she couldn’t’ really blame them. She knew her father would grow frantic if he were aware of her daily solitary travels. Arthur would never let her wander off by herself but often times Calibor would allow her such freedoms and come up with some excuse as to where she had gone that would keep everyone out of the way of trouble. Her two elder sisters were equally as busy with their own lives with no time to spare for the next generation and spending time with her parents was just lame. So, as usual, she would wander off by herself and allow her imagination to come up with a slew of wondrous adventures to keep her occupied. Dastardly pirates, princes meant only for her, dragons with large teeth and creatures from the deep; she had seen them all. Or at least, she liked to pretend she had. On this particular day she was being followed around by a pesky little pixie. As she began trotting away from the squeaking little creature she heard a muffled crash carried on the breeze.

As she neared the scene of the crime, which she blamed ogres on, she noticed a young colt looking rather distraught. He was no ogre, but he did look rather upset. She watched as he stomped the sticks into the ground and mumble something inaudible into the tepid air. With a smile and a skip in her step she moved toward him, checking over her shoulder every so often to be sure that pixie was left in the dust. Drawing up to him with a little trot she giggled and looked at the mess upon the ground. “I don’t think that is how you do it.” She stated simply and flashed a rather flirtatious smile his way.

Zeeke's expression went blank. He turned his head to whoever had questioned his actions or his abilities and fumbled a look of dare upon the filly stood not so far away from his spot. He looked down towards the mess and sighed. "Look. Think you can do any better? Being a girl and all you probably wouldn't know where to start!" With a smirk, he bucked the useless pile with his two back legs and jumped to just in front of where she was. Her... Flirtatious smile put him off a little and he drew his head back to the side, trying not to focus on looking into her eyes, giving the idea that he was too distracted to take much notice at all. Whered she come from anyway!? This was meant to be a secret hideout! It just wouldn't do.

"So. What do you want? I have little time to be dealing with pests, I have work to do. Besides, there are villians about." He switched a varied glance side to side, almost shifty and circled her careful not to let any of the four wings upon his back touch her peachy coat. Her markings he had to admit took his interest so intertwined. They were how he would of put it 'cool.' "Could be dangerous for someone like you."

Searlait’s shoulders tensed at the mention of her being incapable of doing something based solely on her gender. With a little ‘harrumph’ she lifted her black hued nose into the air and responded in a very condescending manner. “Well, any fool knows you can’t build a fortress just anywhere. There has to be a moat so the enemy cannot conquer us as easily.” Lowering her nose she gave a little snort but her composure was compromised when he jumped in front of her and she flinched. Stepping back she attempted to give off the air that she really didn’t want to be that close to him. She then turned her head to the side, almost as if she were looking at an undesirable patch of grass.

A pest! Her head snapped back around upon hearing herself being compared to a rodent. How dare he speak to a lady in such a manner? Her father would never allow for such talk! He even became upset with Arthur for speaking out of turn with their two elder sisters merely because they were female. “So I’m the pest, suppose that makes you the dolt who is incapable of building a simple fort. I would say you were the one who need worry about danger out here. Perhaps it is too much for you to handle.” With this, and a good amount of attitude, she stuck her tongue out at him. She straightened up as he began to circle her like a vulture who had found a carcass baking in the sun. She took note of the four wings upon his back and was instantly reminded of three others she had met with the same type of wings. Her attention was also drawn to the dark orbs in place for eyes, this was the first time she had ever come across anything like that. “You dizzy yet?” She inquired after a moment.

God, she was cocky. He raised a brow at her words and paused next to her when she inquired about him being 'dizzy' and he shook his head. "Unlike you, I can handle circles. I guess the only circles making you dizzy is the nonesense you like to talk so much." He snorted and glared at her before shaking his head and smiling. So she said 'us' did that mean she wanted to be apart of it? No way. He laughed at his own trail of thought and trotted away.

"Girlie, if you want to prove me wrong, build it yourself. Choose the location and for your information. I have skills to protect myself, it's called having an amazing brother and father and family even but if your not up for it..." He pulled a dramatic, false understanding face of dissapointment and looked away. "I can understand. From your gender anyway."

“I’m sure you can handle circles, considering they are the only things you can successfully complete.” She stated matter-of-factly before lifting her chin with a huff. And he believed her to be speaking nothing but nonsense. Who did he think he was? This colt obviously had delusions of grandeur oozing from each orifice. Considering himself to be so far above every other Soquili alive, these were the kind of Soquili her father despised and she was beginning to understand why. Even so, she was more intrigued by the unusual antics of this particular foal. Never had she met anyone so very sure of themselves to the point of insulting others. Shrugging it off she watched as he trotted arrogantly away, taking it more as a challenge than as an insult.

Yet again his words caused something within her mind to bristle as her head swiftly tilted downward allowing for her eyes to meet his, alight with the fire her mother carried with her each and every time her father would say something utterly ridiculous. “Your family may have taught you how to survive but they certainly managed to botch your manners. I too have an amazing family, two sisters and two brothers each with useful characteristic in multiple different fields. Not to mention my father, a knight, who is sure to instill values in us each day we intake a breath. You sorely misunderstand my background and make your own sound more magnificent.” Turning her tail to him with a feminine swish she again hoisted her chin high and turned to merely glance over her shoulder, acting as though the motion were hardly worth it. “I shall go and built a fort, the right way.” With this she began scanning her surroundings, taking in her material choices as well as location ideas. She would show this pompous foal that her family was amazing as well, teaching her many things that he was sure to not know.

Zeeke merely laughed as she took word of his challenge and set about to do just what he had asked. Instead of finding it amusing he was now labeling her as a sheep in his head. An easy target for his ego and wit. She was that easy that him challenging her had already got her pumped up enough to do it and he was proud. So very proud of himself. If her family had done even a better job at managing her own mannors he might not have been so uptight about his words. "Blame it on the family, like everyone else does. Anyone heard of being individual?" His family was very kind and mainly let their children get on with their life. Father was protective and mother was too loving and caring. All the children had grown up, maybe not perfect but too sunshine mr happy for his taste. He wanted to be different and forward, it's how he got the amount of attention neccessary for his brain (Which hardly fits in his head with the amount of self-appreciation happening in there).

"I got to see this."
He finally agreed on doing, it would be entertainment and he didn't really think anything else would prove worthy enough for his own attention today. it was his doing and he wanted to see the happening of this. "Very well then, show me your 'amazing' fort building skillls if they are as perfect as you're making them out to be." He looked at her with a studying gaze. What if she could do it? Women had to be useless. That's what he had always known them to be...

Rather than answering his impertinence with her wit she merely allowed him to think himself the victor. It wasn’t in her interest to argue about ancestry and such, she was prepared to go off and build herself a fort in the manner her father had instructed her to. With a simple sniff and a swish of the tail she turned her back on the colt and began seeking an area that would be ideal for an impregnable fortress. As to whether or not he would truly follow behind her she found herself indifferent. She loved building forts and hiding away from goblins, harpies, and other such monstrosities. Her head was on the swivel and her eyes flicked this way and that as she searched for her home base. Finally her gaze rest upon a small thicket near to a river that she could imagine being a formidable mote. Trotting gleefully up to the thicket she assessed the situation. Low hanging branches could be somehow attached to one another to form a roof. This her father had taught her when telling her how to stay dry if she were separated from the family in a rainstorm. Fearthainn had mentioned some material that could be used to tie them together but she found herself drawing a blank. Scanning the area for an answer her eyes found a patch of long green grass beneath of a tree. Fearthainn had said if you took a few blades of long grass and wound them tight with your tongue they could serve as a binding agent. Plucking the grass from the earth she began rolling it around in her mouth with her tongue, tangling it this way and that.

“Would you hold these branches together for me please?” She asked the air in hopes that Zeke would answer her. “We will see if this works out, if not I will have to find something else to bind it with.” As she waited for an answer she began contemplating how to make walls, staking sticks would only get so far, perhaps a lean-to of sorts would serve well.
