Dae had wandered off again, lamenting in his head of how much he missed seeing daylight, of being able to see period. There was so much beauty in the world but he was so limited, by the blindfold, by the metal collar around his neck. Daekyun often wondered if he could possibly be as lucky as his brother and find someone that could love him like Ione loved Bae, but he doubted it, for two reasons. First, his brother could speak, could woo with a voice, and second, Dae was just far too skittish around females. After the incident in the facility... he had come to fear them, their sent their aura color that breifly would flit into his mind like a whisp of fog the only color in a sea of white. He was full of controdictory feelings as he sat there, wishing he could see the pad of paper or the pencil balanced in his hand so delicately.

She padded along quietly, silent on the pavement. Her coat was long and luxurious, the ribbon around her neck tight and uncomfortable as it drug the ground behind her. It would just be a matter of time before she got dirty and that ribbon came off and she was a stray. She tugged on it absentmindedly and looped her fingers in her belt.
She was one who took sight for granted; sure, she saw everything: grass, skies, pavement, building after colorful building. But it was just sight. Pausing, she caught sight of a pretty little kitten drawing something... Perking up, she hurried over to him, looking over his shoulder, not noticing his blindfold. "Whatcha drawing there, Mr. Artist?"
---
The young male cat nearly jumped out of his skin as his legs propelled him in what looked similar to a crab. Female, a females voice, one he didn't know... Daekyun turned his head toward the voice best as he could considering the cloth covering his eyes.. it stark against his pallid features. He bit his tongue and gave a half squeak when he remembered he had left his sketch pad by her in his desperation to get away.
... how embarrassing. Dae sort of half curled around himself contemplating what to do. If he lost his therapy tool alice would be mad, and he hated getting her mad. He was actually making an improvement considering what his scribbles had looked like before. Now there was some resemblance to a face.
.. that female.
---
"Holy crap!" Anansi all but barked, her voice light and playful but laced with surprise as the cat nearly leapt out of his own skin in an effort to get away from her. She crouched down, hands on the pavement, looking at him through wide, blue eyes. "Jeeez pal. I'm sorry. Didn't mean to startle ya so badly, I just..." She glanced down at the pad of paper, then up at him. "Hey..." He couldn't see? He had a blindfold on, dark against his pale pale face. Poor guy...
---
Dae blinked under his blindfold, thinking about her words that note of hidden sympathy packed into one "hey" and he hated it. He abhorred it, sympathy... it was something some of his siblings lived on, but Dae... he hated the sound when it lifted into someone's voice, upon realizing how different they were from the others, from normal people. He bit his lip, had he still had his voice Dae would have said something sarcastic to the random woman, but nothing came, just a opening and closing of his jaw, silence protruding.
The air to the small male felt thick after that, like whipped cream where you could cut it with a knife but it still flowed just as thick. He was different, and all he was waiting for was that 'im so sorry, i truly wish something could have turned out different for you. coming from the heart of some poor sentimental sap.
---
Anansi grinned a little, cocking her head to one side as he attempted to speak and failed. So he was blind...and mute? Strange... How strange. But that didn't deter her. "Bet that blindfold doesn't mean you can't 'see' am I right? The mind works in mysterious ways, after all. What do I look like to you?" She grinned and wiggled her tail.
---
The male narrowed his eyes, still far enough away not to have her sneak up on him again, but close enough to know that she could see. In not much of a flourish he had removed his blindfold and looked at her, unblinking, unwavering, seeing nothing but a bit of color. Snorting to himself dae reached into his pocket and pulled out a few color pencils, flicking till he found the color he was looking for. All had the bumps on them next to their name that Alice had put on there for him.
He tossed it her way, folding his arms over his chest and drawing his knees to his chest. The pencil rolled to her general direction, the color clearly reading in bold letters
Chartreause.
---
She watched him, still crouched down, pavement scraping her hands and one knee, as he removed his blindfold. She pulled back her ears and he stared at her through milky blue eyes.
The little ragdoll picked up the pencil, tipping it over again and again in her fingers. Pale lime green. She sniffed the pencil's tip, then nodded. Realizing he couldn't see, she cleared her throat. "I'm a very beautiful color then, huh? Maybe I'll get a top in this color, eh? Very chic? Sassy? Whatcha think, pal?" After a moment, she scooted a little closer. "I'm Anansi. I'm caged no longer..." Not by those humans.
---
The small cat bowed his head in greeting amusement clear on his face. Most females would have been offended by the color, but not she. He smiled and brushed a few pieces of stray hair away from his eyes. He cocked his head to the side and smiled, picking up his pencil and going to through the motions Alice had taught him in the sand. D...A....E. He pointed to the letters and then to himself, still a bit weary of the female, but feeling a tad bit more stable.
---
Anansi brightened, glad she could amuse. Her tail flicked back and forth, ears rounded forwards and focused on him. She crept closer, reading the writing in the sand. D-A-E. Dae... His name? She glanced between the cat and the letters, then offered him his writing pad. "Dae. Cute name for a cute boy, no?" She gave a little giggle and scooted closer, purring softly. "So you don't talk and you can't see...but you can write. That makes all the difference in the world, pal. You still have means of communication. Which is good. Right?"
---
Daekyun fidgeted a bit before sitting completely still and giving a curt nod. He hadn't been this close to female that wasn't family in a long time, since before he was kidnaped. The only reason he could write was because of Alice's intense training sessions. He gave a meek smile, reaching forward with a tentative hand to the female, just offering it. What he hadn't told his siblings, or anyone, was that touch amplified his senses, allowed him to see a shape in that color that people tended to radiate off of them. He wasn't sure if she would take it, but it was worth the try..
it wasn't like he could tell her what he was doing.
---
Anansi watched him curiously, perking her scruffy ears forwards and flicking her tail. With a grin, she met him halfway, her palm pressing up against his. He was so interesting...and strange. But then again, so was she, running away from home and from the Girl and her parents. Living on the streets with merely a ribbon around her neck. She didn't know how to fight. She barely was able to feed herself. Yet, here she was, living life to the fullest. And sometimes, strange cats like Dae just happened to be in her future. She said nothing, just smiled.
---
The boy smiled when their hands met, the world suddenly ablaze in a green light, illuminating the fog sifting before his eyes. He felt the smile rather then saw it, but it was nice to know who he was dealing with, her size and shape rather then being afraid of the unknown. He gave her a meek smile before stepping back, the color disappearing. He was sad to see it gone, but the young cat wasn't ready for longer contact then what was provided. Dae sat back down, watching the faint glow with a mild headache, a smile still on his face.
