Sitala was trying to be sneaky ... slipping away from the family's den and off into the wide spaces between the clans. She was curious as to what was out there... and surely it couldn't be all that dangerous! Plus, she was sure that she could find some inspiration for new songs, away from everything that was familiar.
Add to that.. the fact that she was older now, and so she wasn't such a helpless little cub. Just the other day, she had gotten her new tattoos! She was proud of them, and wanted to show them off to someone not in her family.
So ... it was time now, to go exploring!

Vtla was having a bit of fun roaming the pride. He liked to see what was happening all around the place, not just near his home. Not just around a certain female he was starting to enjoy seeing whenever she passed by him. If only he had the nerve to speak to her… but it seemed his voice could only be found in the face of cubs.
Speaking of which.
The large, fluffy male noticed a little cub wandering not too far from him. She seemed quite happy about something. If he had to guess, he’d say it was because of the fresh tattoos she had on her body. Smiling, he moved a bit closer, not getting too close too soon just in case he startled her.
“Well hello there, little one,” he hummed, “aren’t you wandering a bit too much on your own? Is your mother near?”

Manda Sitala jumped slightly as a voice suddenly spoke from nearby. She'd been kind of lost in her own little world as she wandered about - thinking of songs and humming to herself. Blinking, she looked up to see a large male - fluffier than her own father. Seeing no reason to be cautious, she smiled up at him. "Hi! I'm Sitala ... and uhm." She shuffled her paws a bit. "My family isn't thaaaat far away, really." Cajanic Vtla chuckled, glad that startling her hadn't made her too upset. Or it didn't seem as though she had been made that upset, anyway. Maybe she was just good at hiding it? As much as he loved to teach kids, he knew he needed to learn a lot more about them as well. At least they were both gaining something from the experiences, anyway. He smiled. "My name is Vtla," he told her, offering her a polite bow of his head, "I'm glad you're not lost or something. What were you doing here?' He asked lightly, making conversation with the cub. Manda "Oh, just exploring!" Sitala answered easily, plopping down and wrapping her tail about her paws. "And thinking of new songs. I came out here to try to find some new ideas, but I'm not lost." She did know how to get back ... though prooobably she shouldn't have been sneaking away. Oh well!
