Introduction

As I'm sure many of you have figured out by now, I like doing things just to be doing something. This is why I spent a lot of my free time thinking up Kaiden's past. This is going to mainly be done through Kaiden's interactions with Adane, a female whom I hope you will all come to understand within these posts. I still have a priority with Eliana, but I had to at least get this post in to convince myself that I should write about Kaiden's past, which he has no memory of (that will be explained here as well when I'm done). So far the end to this tale is not determined, but who knows how it will turn out. To follow this, a profile of Adane Ookami:

/ / Adane - Ookami

User Image

Description: Adane is what one might call a wolf demon, though she does not like the name to say the least. She was born in, peculiarly, around the area of Elexair before the city was created, but was never raised in the area. Adane's off white hair gives the impression that her blood of a human affected the appearance of her being a snow white wolf. Her eyes do not tend to focus on things, rather they seem to stay unfocused at all times. It is a rare occasion for her eyes to focus on any individual thing at one time. Mainly she uses her ears to get around as well as the feelings she can feel in the air. Even in cold temperatures she wears what one would usually reserve for summer as the cold does not affect her. She does not have the ability to shift into a wolf as her mother had been able to do, which was a peculiarity that no one would explain. Her weapons of choice are arm blades, though the rarity of her using them beg to ask the question as to why they are her weapons of choice. The only other weapon she ever carried with her was a gift from Kaiden, which is a blade that resembles a katana, but the back of the blade appears to have bolts running down it's flat. The blade of sword is a fire red, and upon being pulled free from it's sheath it engulfs itself in fire. Adane is the only person to ever wield the blade to be able to extinguish the flames. The fires burn for her only by her command and not on their own. She is near the same age of Kaiden which is almost 15. (Note: That would make her almost 18 in the time of the roleplay. This is a profile based in the past, so she has no side for which to affliate as well.)

Characteristics:Adane is a extremely jovial person, so jovial in fact that it is unheard of for her to be angry or sad about things. She loves life and has on more the once occasion in her past proven her love for life for not only her own, but everyone's around her. She dislikes fighting so much that even though she knows how, it is very unlikely for her to draw her blade on someone unless another life is on the line. Adane would give up her life more than likely instead of ending someone else's. She is also talkative, much in matching of that of Kaiden who she could carry on a conversation with for several minutes.

Background:Adane was born in the area near the future sight of the Lilith city of Elexair, but she was never raised in the Ellian Mountains. Instead, she was abandon by her parents, her father being human and her mother being a wolf demon, and she was adopted by a pack of wolves moving south towards Linkton. Adane was raised amoung the wolves and was able to communicate with them to a certain extent that animals communicate. Adane eventually left the pack and chose to live in Iliquint. She did not live there long though before she chose to go and travel up north. She met a young dark haired boy about her age, though slightly older, who was alone in the middle of Lake Angelous. He seemed to be living alone with no one around, so she invited him to come with her. She learned the young man's name to be Kaiden, and he had actually ran away from home near Kilawli. Kaiden was reluctant to follow her, but after her pestering for three days he finally decided to go with her. Adane eventually managed to convince Kaiden to go back to his home town just west of Kilawli. Adane eventually got a home there, and Kaiden, instead of living with his own family, chose to live with her. She had no problem with this as she had more than one room to spare.

There is a profile for Adane. In the future I will begin posting the story of 'The Lost Memory; Adane Ookami'. I do hope you noticed the significance of the title >.<

What left was there to do?
He couldn't move, let alone fight back. He attempted to push himself up only to fall once more to the ground. The day was beautiful, why was it today that this had to happen? There was so much he wanted to say, so much he wanted to do. Kaiden forced himself up with his hands as he looked up.
"Adane!" "Kaiden... please..." There was nothing left for him to do as the man's grip tightened on Adane's neck as he raised his blade.
What left was there to do?

"I don't even remember the life we had..."

Kaiden let out a sigh as he pulled back the hammer before, once again, going into action of driving the nail into the wall. It did not take long for him to finish before he moved back and placed the picture frame that Adane had wanted to hang up. She adored picture, where as Kaiden really didn't care a whole lot for pictures. He would not go against what Adane wanted though, and so he had hung up the pictures. He had to be honest though, Adane seemed to be partial towards pictures of her and himself in calming surroundings. Kaiden assumed it was because she enjoyed the calm parts of life over the hard parts. He really didn't have any other way of figuring out what she wanted so he went with what he thought most of the time.

Kaiden took the hammer with him before heading outside to the small shed off to the side of their home where he kept all the tools to deal with fixing their home. Kaiden put up the hammer before walking free and rubbing his eyes lightly as he looked around. His necklace with it's strange KA design hung around his neck freely without being under his shirt. His right eye was also uncovered, but in town he never had to worry about covering it. Everyone here knew the truth of the matter, but hardly any of them understood it. Kaiden's necklace hid what he was, how he didn't know nor did he really care. It was a convenient thing for him, though the fact that his right eye stayed feline left a bit of question. Adane didn't like him covering up the eye regardless, it made her feel as though she should cover up the wolf demon side of her and Kaiden didn't want her to feel that way so he left it uncovered at all times now.

Kaiden moved back to the front steps of his and Adane's home before turning and looking down their small yard into town. Children were running around playing games while parents stood watching, though many of the parents were actually about doing some work. Kaiden could see his own parents home just down the road, but they were likely to be away on work so he knew they weren't actually there. Kaiden took a seat on the steps as he watched the daily life of the town with a small smile on his face. They were all so jovial it made him want to join them, but Kaiden wasn't really outgoing so he remained where he was simply watching.

Kaiden didn't turn as the door opened behind him as Adane came out. She silently took a seat next to him and watched the children with a smile on her face.
"They are so happy. It's nice to see the children having such fun." Kaiden glanced at Adane as she said this before he gave a faint nod of his head and turned his attention back out to the children. Kaiden gently took ahold of Adane's hand as they sat watching the children. Neither one of them had to say anything more as they sat there watching the children play in the streets. Silence lasted between the two as they watched the children before Adane let out a soft laugh as she stood up, causing Kaiden to get up with her.

"Come on. I've got to go to work. That means you as well." Adane said with smile. Kaiden gave a shrug as he released Adane's hand long enough to check and make sure his sword was on him. Regardless of Adane's complaints in the past about wearing their weapons at all time, Kaiden made sure that they always had them anyways. The village had been attacked twice in Kaiden's life by bandits, and both times females both older and younger than Adane had been taken. They never came back, and Kaiden wasn't willing to let the same thing happen to Adane. If they were going to be attacked agian, Kaiden and Adane were going to be ready.

Kaiden turned back to Adane as he took her hand agian and started off the steps and onto the yard. Kaiden and Adane worked in two different buildings, though both buildings were side by side. Adane worked in a grocery for the town, and Kaiden worked in a wood shop. Kaiden wasn't actually all that good at wood working, but he certainly worked at it. Kaiden was improving every day though, or so he was told by Adane and his boss. Adane on the other hand had no such problems with doing something she was bad at. She was friendly and enjoyed talking to people. Working at the town store allowed her to both work and speak with people who came in, keeping her happy. The store also doubled as a small restaurant, and that was where Adane spent most her time. She enjoyed serving people there as it gave her even more reason to work there. Kaiden wasn't all that talkative though, and that was the reason he didn't even try to work with Adane.

Kaiden and Adane separated at the store before Kaiden continued on to the wood shop a short distance from the store. The town in which they lived was not large when compared to Kilawli which was visible in the distance, but it was larger than most of the towns around. The town even had a small town guard, of which both Adane and Kaiden were apart of. The town guard didn't patrol the town though; they only had to serve when the town was in danger. Right now, the town was at peace. No bandits had tried to attack for years and many in the town believed that maybe they were finally being left alone. Kaiden had to agree with them though, the bandits did appear to be gone which was a positive sign for the village.

"... she was the only one who saw me for who I was..."

Of all the people in the town, Kaiden was by far one of the most reclusive of them all. Many people judged him to be a uncaring person just because he didn't show much care for anyone else. However, Adane knew better than that. She had seen all sides of him, and after spending so much time with him it was understandable. Kaiden wasn't negative though, in fact he was just quiet and didn't want people to know what he was thinking. Many of the people in the village mistook this for him being uncaring. If that had been the case, he never would have done half the things he did for the village such as fighting to defend it from attacks. Kaiden wasn't someone who wanted to be viewed in a holy light, he just wanted to live like everyone else.

Having done his work for the day, Kaiden found himself sitting outside of the store where Adane worked staring off into space. He could have gone in and talked with her or something else of interest, but he didn't feel the need to bother her while she was conversing with other people. After all, she would focus on trying to get him to talk to others rather than doing so herself if he came in. She always wanted him to open up more to other people, but he couldn't do it for fear of what could happen. People could view him like they did the other town guards, as a hero. He didn't want to be a hero, he just wanted to be Kaiden and nothing more. What use was being thought of as a hero? Sure people liked you more, but he wanted people to like him for who he was and not what he did.

"Are you going to sit out here all day, or are you going to come in?" Kaiden didn't even jump at Adane's voice right next to him. He glanced over his shoulder at her and noticed she was leaning out the wind so that he wouldn't have heard her come though the door. Kaiden gave a faint grin before looking forward again. "Nah, I think I'll stay out here and enjoy the peace and quiet. It's rather nice out here you know?" Kaiden said lightly in response. Adane smiled softly at his words, knowing full well what he really wanted to say. He didn't want to be by people who would look at him in a negative light, which most did. She found him so odd sometimes, and yet she still...

Adane glanced back over her shoulder before jumping out of the window and taking a seat next to Kaiden. Silently she put her elbows on her knee's with her hands supporting her head as she watched him with a faint smile, waiting his response to her staring. At first, Kaiden didn't do anything and just ignored her, however she didn't miss him glance over at her before looking back away. "Stop that. I really do want to stay out here." Kaiden finally said after almost three minutes of silence between them. Adane shook her head lightly in response to that. She knew that was a lie. Why was he even trying with her? She could tell when he was lying, even if no one else could.

"Liar, you just don't want to go in because you're afraid I'll pay more attention to you than my customers. You shouldn't try to lie to me, Kaiden. I've lived with you long enough to know what you really want." She chided before standing up as she flashed him a big smile. Kaiden looked up at her before shaking his head as he chuckled. Well, she was right. He sometimes wished he could tell her something and she would just listen, but that had only worked when they had first met. She was quick to catch on to people he had learned, which put him at a disadvantage because he couldn't ever tell what she wanted. She never asked for anything, never did anything to suggest what she felt or wanted. He could only assume that what she showed was how she felt, and that she didn't want anything for whatever reason.

Adane let out a sigh as she looked up at the sky, the setting sun causing the sky and horizon to display a myriad of colors. She glanced over at Kaiden who was watching her before she pointed to the horizon. Kaiden glanced over at them before smiling slightly as he looked back at Adane. She was so simple really, and yet so confusing to him. She didn't appear to want for anything and she was always smiling and living life to the fullest. It wasn't only that though, she also forced him to do the same along with her without even asking him. He didn't mind though because he knew she only did so because she thought it was best for him to live that way too. Maybe that was why he felt like he was so close to her, and why she had never made him leave her home even when he had been rude to her in the past. Kaiden had to admit, it was nice having Adane around and her manner of action. She made everything... brighter for him really. With that thought, he paused though. What was it? Kaiden couldn't place his finger on what he thought of Adane with reference to these thoughts, regardless though he felt happy around her. She was closer to him than his family was, and she had done so even through his way of hiding everything.

"We bore untold thoughts though, of which we wouldn't dare share..."

What time was it? Kaiden hadn't the slighest clue as he sat up in his bed and rubbed his eyes. The sound of lightning, ever present in the growing storm, had awoken him finally as he had lay asleep. Kaiden slowly looked up at the ceiling as he shook his head lightly. "Stupid storm, waking me up. I'll never get back to sleep." Kaiden growled as he kicked his feet over the edge of the bed, yawning a second time. It was clearly late, but that didn't make much difference to the awoken neko. He wouldn't be able to sleep so long as the storm raged on. As odd as it was for Kaiden to admit it, he couldn't sleep while it was storming. There was something about storms that demanded he stay awake. He wasn't afraid of storms or anything, just sleep left him when storms rolled in. That was why he usually tried to be asleep long before the storm started. It had been going on like this for three days straight though, driving Kaiden insane every time he had been forced awake at the crash of thunder. Kaiden half expected he was going to develop insomnia.

Kaiden pushed himself up from the bed and started across the room to the door. He opened it silently before pausing as he caught a familiar sight the past three days in the living room: Adane was sitting the couch, eye's closed with her soft breathing. Kaiden knew better than to think she was asleep, unless by some twist of fate the lack of sleep for the past three days had finally exhausted her to sleep. Adana, somewhat like Kaiden, couldn't sleep during storms. Her reasons was out of fear though. She was afraid of storms and because of that they kept her on edge all the time. In this storms case Adane had been focused on the storm for three days and two nights. Kaiden couldn't believe she had stayed awake thus far, so it was a miracle she had finally passed into slumber.

Kaiden smiled faintly as he walked over to the couch before sitting down on the other end of the couch from Adane. He closed his eyes as he leaned back before opening them as he looked up at the ceiling. 'At least she's asleep. That's all that matters.' Kaiden thought as he watched the ceiling, the living room being illuminated by lightning every few seconds. She hadn't said more than a few words the past three days, so it made no difference to Kaiden that she was asleep now. It was the same amount of quiet. The only oddity was that the last two nights she had reacted to seeing him come out of his room. Now, she couldn't being asleep.

Kaiden nearly jumped as he felt something fall against his shoulder. A quick glance cause Kaiden to hold back a laugh. Adane had, either with some conscious thought or by reflex, moved to be next to him, curling her feet on the couch as she use his shoulder as a pillow. She had not said a word, nor even had a change in breathing. How she had moved without waking up was behind Kaiden, but it made no difference to him.
"I'm not asleep, you know." Adane said bluntly, dispelling any of Kaiden's original concepts of her sleep. She grew quite again after that comment though, her breathing still having not changed in the slightest. She had sounded tired though, so maybe she was talking in her sleep? Kaiden doubted it. Adane had never done so before.

"That's a curious thing to say, though you haven't slept in quite some time I suppose." Kaiden responded as he closed his eyes and laid his head against the back of the couch. Adane stretched slightly, but she did not move besides that. With a faint sigh, she ceased all movements besides breathing once again. Kaiden said not another word as he sat there, listening with his ears to Adane's steady heart beat. She was always so calm, in fact Kaiden wasn't sure he'd ever seen Adane flustered besides that one time when he'd watched a young man flirt with her. During the entire ordeal she had constantly turned her eyes to Kaiden, as if she was worried he would disapprove or something. Kaiden wouldn't of course, whatever Adane chose to do was fine by him. She was like a sister to him after all...

"Kaiden... what do you think of me?" Kaiden's eyes opened with a start as he heard what Adane had asked. Kaiden wasn't even sure she had asked the question, which was why he retained silence for a good deal of time until he heard Adane mumbled something about wanting an answer. "That's a weird question, what do you mean?" Kaiden asked in quick response, of which Adane didn't answer right away. "I'm just curious as to what you think of me. Do you find me annoying, weak, what?" Adane asked softly.

Kaiden thought for a moment before chuckling faintly as he closed his eyes again. "I think you are warm, like a blanket that's been by the fire too long." Kaiden said, intending a joke. He got a faint laugh, though a tired one, from Adane at his words before he heard her say to continue. "I suppose you're the kindest person I know, and you value all life no matter how the person has lived out their life. You are also probably closer to me than the rest of my family, so I suppose that means mention. And I suppose that makes you the most important person I know to me." Kaiden explained lightly. Adane said nothing in response to his words, instead she moved her hand up and placed it on his arm as she moved her head lightly. She whispered something, but even with his ears Kaiden couldn't hear what she said. And then she grew silent, her breathing once again a steady rhythm telling Kaiden that she was done talking.

((Probably done with this one, but I'm not sure.))

"And then my world began to crash down around me... there was nothing I could do to stop it."

What time was it? Was it early morning or still late at night? Kaiden couldn't tell with his dark room as he sat up and rubbed his eyes. He sat there for a long time before frowning as he remembered Adane and him speaking to one another a few weeks ago. It seemed odd to pull up that memory, but then again a lot of the weird things Adane did seemed to be playing into his mind now. Was he supposed to see something he just wasn't seeing? That seemed to be the only reason for him to even bother thinking about it so much. So what was it?! Nothing seemed to hold an answer to him that made sense, or at least one that he was willing to face.

Kaiden's ears perked up slowly as he frowned. What was it he had heard? Kaiden slowly pushed himself away from his bed and onto his feet as he went over to the door before stepping out into the living room. It was oddly quiet, surprisingly so which was unusual as usually he could hear Adane's breathing. After quickly checking her room, he found why he couldn't hear her. She wasn't in the room, though it looked like she had gotten up in a hurry to do something. Kaiden slowly moved away from the room as he headed back into the living room and caught sight of a note on the table. In hastily scrawled writing, Adane mentioned 'feeling' something wrong and went to investigate. The concerning thing was she didn't explain what felt wrong.

Kaiden let out a sigh as he rubbed his head and moved to the door. He pulled on his shoe's and grabbed his sword. He didn't even bother to change out of his pajama pants as he headed out into the night, with hope he would be able to figure out where Adane was. Kaiden's attention was instantly drawn to the silence outside, there was not a noise. Kaiden frowned lightly as he slowly walked down the steps of Adane's home and into the road, no sign of any reason for the silence. Even the bugs were even silent.

"It's oddly..." Kaiden turned sharply as he heard a crash, like glass shattering. Kaiden's ears were low on his head as he moved in the direction of the sound, only to find more silence, and a broken window when he got there. Inside the house, there was dead silence, not a soul even so much as breathing. What was more concerning was the smell, like wet iron. It took Kaiden only a second to transfer said smell into the smell of blood. Instantly warning bells went off in his head as he turned and looked up and down the road. Maybe Adane's 'feeling' hadn't been too wrong, but where was she, and the cause of this... silence. Suddenly Kaiden felt a feeling of dread deep down as he turned and started off, without reason, in the direction of his parents home. The sight when he arrived at the front door wasn't pleasant.

Kaiden's family lived on the edge of the town, near the entrance. The first thing to notice was that the house was rather large, larger than most of the others house in the town. What Kaiden noticed was no this though, but rather the splintered door. Kaiden blinked as he slowly advanced on the door before sticking his head inside, hearing only silence and once again the smell of blood. With silence that would have made a pin dropping sounding like a gunshot, Kaiden crept into the house and followed his natural sense to the place where he knew his parent's slept. The sight he beheld was not one he wished to remember, but after that he could always claim that his father and mother hadn't died laying down. The blood scattered bedroom and the weapons sticking in the walls showed him that much.

Kaiden left the room and slowly headed off to his sister's room, only to find no sign of his sister even having been there. This was neither a good sign, nor a bad one and Kaiden forced himself to push the fear of what could have happened to her away. Someone had attacked during the night, and it took Kaiden only half a second to realize that no sounds of alarm were being rung. The town was under attack, and no one knew it. Without much more though Kaiden took off as quickly as he could go towards the front door of the house. By the time he reached the living room he came to a stop though. Standing in the doorway was a dark shadow, body covered in a cloak that hide the wearer's features. "Hello there young sir, I believe you need to disappear."

"I take it this is your work." Kaiden responded calmly as his hand tightened on the katana like blade he held in his left hand, sheathed still. The man, as Kaiden discerned from the voice, chuckled in response. "No, not at all little cat. This would be my friend. He is much more... discrete than I am. However, I was told that this far out no one would hear me. I can't have you starting any alarms now, can I? That means you need to go, now." Kaiden had about enough time to question 'what', before he was picked up by some force beyond his knowledge and thrown, quite ungracefully, through the air. Kaiden twisted in the air by reflex, and the next thing he knew he was crashing through glass and rolling on the ground outside the house, sword bouncing out of his hand and into the darkness.

Slowly, Kaiden turned his head up at his parent's home only to see the outline of the man walking around the house to find him, no rush what so ever. Kaiden winced as he pushed himself up onto his feet, hurt from having gone through the window and then skittering to a stop on the ground. The man chuckled again, apparently amused by Kaiden's determination to stand, before flicking his hand and sending Kaiden back ten feet and on the ground again. Kaiden coughed trying to get what air had been forced out of him as he pushed himself back up, growling intently at the man before him. This was not happening, it simply didn't make sense to Kaiden. What was going on?!

PostPosted: Sun Nov 07, 2010 11:48 am

"She would try though, and leave me with absolutely nothing... but I would find my vengeance."

((This is subject to a little change, maybe. Depends on my thoughts later.))

Kaiden went to lunge at the man only to be tossed like a rag doll yet again, this time hitting the ground with enough force to cause his vision to blur. Kaiden rolled for several feet before finally coming to a stop, laying on the ground staring up at the sky with a confused expression for a moment. His head had hit the ground rather hard, and thinking was not a strong point for him at that point. Kaiden allowed himself to lay there for a second before turning his head to look at the man, slowly walking towards him. 'What is he using to keep doing this?' Kaiden pondered as he slowly attempted to push himself up. His ribs hurt, likely from his three falls now. Each one had been ruff so it was a good surprise that Kaiden hadn't broken anything yet.

"Be still, fool." Kaiden let out a cry of pain as he felt himself smashed back against the ground. He had no clue what had forced his body back down so harshly, but it had been enough to almost finish the task of breaking on of Kaiden's ribs. Kaiden let out a gasp of pain as he felt the man's foot drop on his neck, making breathing, or gasping as it turned out, rather hard. "Hardly even worth the waste. You're weak, it would have been more..." Kaiden felt himself growing faint rather quickly, and then suddenly he was able to breath as the man fell away from him. Kaiden barely saw a fire blazing next to him, and upon looking up he notice a familiar face lit up by the fire. Adane.

Her right hand held the fire blade in a ready stance, but was was all the more surprising was the fact that she held Kaiden's second blade backwards against her left arm. Blood was dripping down her arm, and was in splotches all over her. She clearly had just been in a fight. The man, whom had stumbled a few steps away was now standing calming against as he viewed Adane with what might have been surprise. "Hm, I thought it was the boy. It's you, isn't it? I had wondered what had taken up my partners time." The man said with a grin, barely visible by the light cast by the fire blade.
"I've already dealt with your friend, you're next." Adane spoke coldly before lunging suddenly, both blades flashing into motion. Kaiden coughed as he slowly started to push himself up into a kneeling position, watching Adane's motion.

Adane was suddenly thrown back, but unlike Kaiden she landed on her feet, moved to the side and lunged forward again, getting within striking distance of the man. Kaiden could see with her movement that she was hurt in her right shoulder, she was careful to use it even as she moved. Kaiden's sword cut out suddenly though, the blade causing the man to jump back in an attempt to dodge. Adane followed this motion by spinning quickly and thrusting with her own sword, cutting into the cloak of the man. There was a laugh as Adane was suddenly thrown back several yards, hitting the ground rolling back into a kneeling position as she flicked both blades out into ready positions. Kaiden blinked as the sun suddenly crept just over the edge of the horizons. The man stood firmly in his spot, Adane kneeling on the ground breathing heavy.

Without warning, Adane started forward again dodging side to side without warning. Kaiden had no clue what she was doing, but as the ground where she had been a moment ago suddenly was torn asunder, he began to register that the man was doing something either the air. Adane lunged without warning, blade's flashing down on the man. Adane's blades cut through the cloak, but no one was inside. Before Kaiden could let out a cry of warning, the man was behind Adane with his hand pressed against her back. Adane let out a cry of surprise, and was launched away very suddenly, both blades leaving her hands and falling at the man's feet. Adane hit the ground rolling before sliding up onto her feet as she coughed, breathing obviously painful to her. The man stood with his left hand in his pocket with a smug look on his face. Kaiden couldn't see the man's eyes, he was facing just slightly away from him, but Kaiden noted the jet black hair and scar running down his jawline.

"You're more stubborn than I thought. Turns out this might not have been the ideal village to attack. I suppose you think my accomplice is dead? Hardly, he's behind you, my dear." Kaiden couldn't even see how the task was accomplished, but suddenly there was indeed a cloaked figure behind Adane. Kaiden forced himself onto his feet suddenly as he took off into a run. He made it only a few steps before he was crushed back to the ground yet again by the dark haired man. Kaiden cursed under his breath as he slowly attempted to force himself up. His body was starting to give out on him as things were, which was not a good sign. Adane was yelling, which when Kaiden looked up he saw why. She was being held aloft by her neck, the cloaked man's sword raised at her heart. She was struggling, but not to much avail.

Kaiden attempted to force himself into motion, but he couldn't. He couldn't move, let alone fight back. He attempted to push himself up only to fall once more to the ground. The day was beautiful, the sky lit up by the morning sun casting everything in a light hue of orange and red. Kaiden cursed as he attempted to move again, only to fail. Kaiden forced his eyes up, viewing Adane as she slowly lessened her struggling, her body growing weaker by the second. Kaiden heard himself yell her name, but what was the point? She responded with a plead, for what? The man's blade slowly moved closer to Adane's chest, her body's movement growing less and less.

"Adane!" Anger, rage, despair, hate, and longing. These emotions hit Kaiden like a truck as he gave a final push, forcing himself to his feet, flinging his hand out suddenly and without warning. The shadows at the cloaked man's feet suddenly shot up like blade, the man disappearing instantly. Kaiden barely noticed that the mans blade had ran it's coarse, Adane dropping to the ground silently. The dark haired man suddenly turned in surprise as Kaiden flicked his hand towards him, the necklace around his neck flashing brightly as his shadow shifted up his body, forming his cat ears and tail. "Come." Kaiden's blade dissolved into darkness before reforming in his hand, the blade almost pitch black. Both of Kaiden's eyes where bright yellow, viewing the man in front of him.
