Shibasa stared down at the tiny trickle of water he was supposed to be drinking out of. Sure he was thirsty, but that water was even nastier than the watering hole that Ubuge had dropped him off at. But he was thirsty, and he hadn't seen water for a while. Or Keena, for that matter, but that flighty lioness tended to disappear once in a while, anyway. And he wasn't about to start on the bunny that followed her around. So he sat there, contemplating the water rather than what the bunny or the lioness were up to. Maybe he was thirsty enough. Maybe. He leaned forward, his muzzle almost to the water.

Miw-sher was up to what she was normally up to on a boring day like this. She was wandering around trying to find something amusing for herself to do. She was a easily bored lioness and once more her siblings couldn't keep her attention long enough for her to hang out at home with all of them. She giggled a little bit as she pushed her way through the bushes heading toward the river. She really loved to spend time at the river she wasn't that sure what it was about it but she always enjoyed going there.
She carefully moved her small and slender body into the water, looking around slightly as she did. She was excited to feel the water around her fur and in between her toes. She smirked as she closed her eyes for a moment and dived under pushing her way as she did before opening her eyes once she got under the surface. She smirked as she looked toward the direction of the surface of the water, she noticed some at the edge.
She held her breath a little longer, she knew she had to. She didn't want to give herself away. She sped up for a moment before waiting for the perfect moment then popped up. "Hello there!" She grinned ear to ear as she looked up at the male leaning in to take a drink of water.

He looked at the female in the muddy water, raising an eyebrow slightly before shrugging it off. "This your watering... hole?" he asked her. Maybe he needed to get deeper into the water for a good drink?
Nah. He leaned down and took a gulp, ignoring the gritty taste of the water. If the water belonged to a pride or something, he needed to get what he could and get out.

Miw looked at him and shrugged. "Not that I know of. I don't think it's anyone's watering hole. Or river that is." she wasn't that happy with his lack of reaction. It made her a little annoyed. She sighed before pushing her way out of the water and pulling herself up on shore shaking her body off trying to get some of the mud off of her coat. She knew her mom was going to be annoyed when she got home covered in mud but at the moment she couldn't care less.
"You might want to be careful though, it doesn't look like it's the best choice to drink. It's fun to swim in." She laughed as she nodded then shook her head. "There are better ones around here."

"Yeah?" he asked, spitting out the mud he had almost swallowed. "Where?" He wiped at his mouth with a paw, disgusted that he had even drank what little he had. She was a cute little thing, wasn't she?
He bet she was crazy. Every single female he had met was crazier than hell, and this one was swimming in mud. But at least she wasn't a pride baby. The last thing he wanted to deal with was a pride full of overprotective males looking out for an adolescent girl.

Miw grinned a bit before flicking her hair out of her eyes. She wasn't a crazy lioness she just liked to have fun when she felt like it. She shook herself off again as she lifted off of her butt, she got most of it off, except around her paws, that was no fun! What kind of mudd just came off like that? stupid mud that was for sure. She glanced at the male then let otu a small laugh. "I guess you're not from around here." She then let out another small laugh turning around from the bushes and flicking her tail behind her. "Follow me." she wasn't a 'pride baby' that was for sure. But she did have some protective males at home. There was her father and most of her brothers but they had been laying off some lately.
"It isn't that far away but most around here are horrible at finding their way through the bushes." She snorted as she pushed her way through easily. She was a smaller lioness but when she was going some where she could get there. "Half of the time Lions get lost around here. I was born here, I know this area like the back of my paw. I can't say that about everyone though." She let out a chuckle as she jumpped over a log and looked over her shoulder making sure that the male was following her. She would be really annoyed if he wasn't.

He was, but he wasn't having nearly as much luck as she was getting through. Several muttered curses told her that the bushes were not his friends, and a little yelp told her that they hated him passionately.
But he was definitely following her! "Yeah, I'm not from around here. I'm trying to get to the mountains." He climbed over the log, stopping on top and looking down at her. There were twigs in his mane and a welt on his shoulder where a branch had caught him. "I'm betting," he said dryly, "that there's a path not more than ten minutes from here, but you felt like dragging me through the bushes for entertainment, didn't you?"

Miw giggled as she could hear him have troubles getting around in the brush. She loved making others have a hard time getting places, but then again it was hard to get anywhere around here unless you know where you were going. "The mountains? That sounds like a interesting." Some times she wanted to get away from this area, even if it was for a little amount of time. she was curious on what it was like in other places.
She let out a nice laugh at his next comment, shrugging a bit. "Well... There probably is." She looked around before squeezing herself between some trees. "You can get around those." She said before looking around. "But then again I'm used to these paths so there could be some where quicker but I don't know... Beside it is pretty entertaining." She pushed herself through one more set of bushes and grinning. "Here we are." she looked back at the male and nodded. "this water is a lot nicer."

He looked as if he'd been in a war. His usually nice, fluffy mane was scattered with twigs and leaves, his red pelt almost hid all the red welts that the bushes had left on him. And he was only just then realizing that he would have to go BACK the same way as soon as he was done.
Great.
But the water did look better, he thought, trying and failing to hide his irritation. And at least she hadn't demanded a part of his soul for bringing him here. All in all, he owed her the reluctant "thanks" that he muttered before heading for the water.

Miw arched a brow at him watching him lean over the water and lap it up. Was that all he was going to say? She was a little disgruntled at that idea before she moved closer to the water herself, leaning over and getting some water herself before she turned toward the male. "You're heading toward the mountains right?" She asked before looking around. "I can probably point you in a easier way out of here." she nodded at the idea she had to admit she would feel a little bad if she mad him take the complicated way back. Well at least if she wasn't there to watch him have a hard time doing it. She arched a brow at him waiting for his answer.

"Yeah, only if it can get me back to where I was before, or somewhere near it," he said once he was finished drinking. He sat down, grooming himself by running his claws through his mane to get the twigs out. "Keena will come looking for me sooner or later, probably."
Maybe. Or maybe the lioness had gotten bored with hanging out with him and skipped town with her bunny buddy. For some reason that depressed the lion, and he looked away.

Miw arched a brow at the male before shrugging. "I can get you back. Or at least point you in the direction. I don't know why you want to go back to that river though." At his next statement she understood she sighed slightly before poking him with one of the toes on her paw. She sighed before pointing in another bush, it had a path running through it. "Theres a quick way out of here." She laughed slightly before nodding. "If you want to head back to where you were before that is."

He looked at her with dry amusement, a smirk pulling at his lips. "Somehow I knew that would happen," he told her as he looked at the path. He stood, leaning down to get one last drink before leaving. "And I'm betting people are looking for you, too. You shouldn't keep them waiting too long," he said before heading down the path she had pointed out.
