Back behind the supermarket stood the figure of a young boy. No older then a child. Wearing blue jiens and a flannel he stood in the cold unbothered, digging around in his shirt pocket. Now if you knew the boy you'd expect him to pull out a vat of alcohal, but not today. Today what emerged in his hand as he withdrew it from his pocket was a small box.
The box read Cammel, a very common brand of cigerates. The boy holding it just happened to be named Arukoru and he was looking for a new way to ease his stress. He slowly opened the pack and pulled out one long white cilindar before slipping it into his mouth. Soon followed by a lighter that set the tip afire. After the lighter went out the tip of the cigerate let out a small cinder, and grew bright red as Aru took a hard drag off of it.
Not even a second after he began coughing and hacking, putting a mitted hand over his mouth.
"Ugggh..." he groaned, before sticking it back in his mouth, taking another drag.
"Just gotta get used to it.." he mumbled, hoping nobody that knew him would come his way.

-Kioshi had begged and pleased to go off on her own. Just for a day, just to recieve a small bit of freedom that she rarely got but her brothers often recieved. After nearly an hour of begging Kit Kioshi got just what she wanted! She was told she could head off alone.. On the condition that she came home before the street lights came on when evening rolled about. Such a thing had not seemed a problem for her at all. She'd calmly stated that she'd be back long before then and then had taken off with her backpack, containing a wallet that held roughly ten dollars, slung over her shoulders.
At first Kioshi had not known what to do. She had thought about running to the market.. But that had seemed too far a walk.. Then she'd thought about the adoption center.. That had seemed too dull for her first self outting.. Finally, she'd figured out the closest thing that allowed shopping and a tiny bit of adventure. The supermarket! She'd gone off to it, hesitating outside of the building for the longest of time. Just as she was about to head inside she realized that there was a back side to the store.. Curiosity killed the cat, but it had also given people riches or knowledge. The wolf ears atop her head began to flicker as she made her way around to the back side of the store.. She'd just take a small peek. a little peek behind the building..-

Arukoru was in the middle of taking another drag from his cigerate, before he thought he heard someone aproaching, and he was right. He quickly hid the cigerate behind his back and turned to face the person approaching.
"Who's there?!" He called out, looking a bit flustered. He was afarid it would be an adult, but when he saw it wasn't he relaxed, sighed, and took another drag from the now unhidden cigerate.
"Don't scare me like that.." He said with a little laugh before he smiled to the person aproaching, looking at her ears.
"I'm Arukoru, what's your name?"

-Kioshi had been startled as well. She had not really been expecting to find anyone behind the store.. An animal, perhaps, but she had certainly not been expecting another child. Her ears once again flickered, picking up the words that were spoken to her. Suddenly she blinked and began to observe the stranger she'd just encountered. He was young and.. Smoking? Didn't someone have to be a certain age to smoke?- "I'm sorry.. I didn't know anyone was back here." -She said nervously as she began to apporch Arukoru.- "My name's.. Kioshi. It's Kioshi. I'm really sorry that I startled you." -Cigerettes! She'd seen those before on television, and occasionally when Kit was feeling the urge to have one.. but he'd always told her that they were not for children!- "What are you.. Doing back here?"

Arukoru looked down at the cigerate in his hand, as if it didn't make it obvious enough why he was behind the store. If someone told Tenshi he'd be in serious trouble.. She tolerated the drinking to an extent, but smoking? No way. He then shrugged, smiling to the girl.
"Most people don't take kindly when they see someone like me smoking.. I'd offer you one, but I'm sure you don't want to start any bad habbits." He said with a faint chuckle, before he threw the butt onto the ground and stepped on it, smothering it into the ground.
"Why'd you wonder back here yourself?"

"I don't need to worry about bad habits too much. Good at nipping those." -Good at nipping them? She knew she could only defeat her habits with the help of someone else.. Without help she would have never gotten out of the third person. quietly she began to slide her backpack off of her back.- "I guess I was bored. I came to look inside the store.. But it can't be that intresting in there. I've seen it dozens of times.. So I thought I'd come back here and explore a little. See if I could find anything new and exciting. It's.. Pretty empty back here, though. Blank." -She brushed a strand of pink hair from her face. She could still remember when it had been purple.. But that had been the old Kioshi's color.- "Funny, I did find something intresting, though. Never thought I'd run into someone behind the store. I thought maybe an animal, but definently not a whole person!"

Arukoru chuckled as he reached into his jacket and pulled out a bottle, before opening it and taking a sip.
"Yeah, big surprise finding me huh? You'll find a few animals too if you stay back here long enough. I saw a racoon come out of the dumster, and then I was petting a stray dog a little bit ago. No other people though." He said as he resealed the bottle and tucked it into his jacket, before looking up at the sky.
"Your a girl, can I ask you a question? It's about a friend of mine.. She's a girl too. I was thinking maybe you could help me get some insite on what she's thinking.."

-Her grey ears seemed to straighten themselves more as her curiosity began to near it's peak. His question had nearly drown out her thoughts of finding animals to watch or talk to for a while. Animals.. She did like them.. But a person was far greater than an animal when it came to socializing. A nod was given to the boy as Kioshi began to advance towards him. She stopped when she was just infront of him. Both eyes had dropped to look at Arukoru's jacket where the bottle had been set.- "Well.. I'm no psycologist.. But I can try to help you." -The inu offered a smile.- "What's the question?"

"Well..." Arukoru began, his eyes trailing off as he tried to think of how to phrase it.
"How can you tell if a girl apreciates you? I mean.. say you have a friend that was a.... half angel, and you found a dead..." he didn't want to say cat, that would throw his sitation off too quickly. "Bird, a dead bird. And in an attempt to bring the bird back to life the angel became a human, but he did bring the bird back to life. But then instead of thanking him you run off and start spending all your time with the bird instead.. Would that mean you don't like the boy? Or don't apreciate the sacrafice he made?" he then paused.
"I'm only asking because this happened to a friend, and I'm trying to help the guy out." He grinned, god he was a horrable liar.

-Kioshi blinked. Her mind had to work harder than it ever had before to come up with any sort of response that was not an 'I don't know'. An angel that had brought back a dead bird? Two of her fingers touched her lips as she began to dwell on the scenerio.- "Well.. It's difficult to say whether or not she doesn't appreciate it. She probably does. Who wouldn't appreciate something like that? It's really sweet." -She smiled softly at the thought of a handsome angel saving a bird from eternal darkness. It was.. Romantic?- "But if she doesn't spend time with him it might mean she's not intrested. The best thing for yo-- Your friend to do is to talk to her and invite her to do things." -She gave a knowing nod.-
