I love low-key days, where the sun is shining and it is a decent temperature outdoors. There aren't any pressures or demands on your time. Everyone is off doing their own thing quietly, but people are still home, so it's not lonely.
I snuggled with the cat, eat a light meal, rediscovered the joy of chamomile tea, and chatted idly with friends on MSN. I went for a walk on the beach by myself, and let the waves roll on my gumboots, and collected some sea glass, and let my mind wander.
Came home, did the dishes of other people's meals, came upstairs to wait for special people to come online... and WHAM! Hit with a headache like I haven't had in months now. Grrr, way to ruin a day that was going from great to wonderful and promising to be fantastic. It's going to be hard to make it 'fantastic' now mad

When I first started reading this, I was all prepared to congratulate you on such a good day. But that last part... Ooh, I hate those blindsiding headaches! I woke up yesterday morning with one, and it soured a good three-quarters of the day for me. You're feeling better by now, I hope?

Dammit Rye, I had a theory that playing videogames kills the cells in the brain that cause headaches, and therefore playing enough videogames prevents and cures headaches, but I think you just ruined it sad

Sorry. If it makes a difference, I hadn't played any video games that day or the night before, so it could still be a valid idea. I'll have to give it a try. Maybe it only works with some types of video games?

Don't think type matters, have just never heard someone complain about having a headache while playing. If that doesn't make it a fact then nothing does.

For what it's worth, any of the action-y fighting games tend to give me a bit of a tension headache if I play them for too long. I've never really gotten a headache from RPGs, though. Not sure about puzzle games or racing games.

Yeah me too. Too many video game = headache neutral
I kept getting headaches the last few days. I think it's because I've been dealing with a rather messed up situation with some friends of mine. I felt like I was being used, so I got out of the situation. I even blocked someone today. Hopefully the headaches with go away with her

That's no good, your friends should know they're giving you trouble, and cut it out! At least you were able to put the one on ignore, so hopefully that will take care of the problem.

Sometimes when I play games like tetris or ddr for long periods of time, I start to see falling blocks or rising arrows everywhere. In the corner of my peripheral vision, when I close my eyes, in my dreams when I sleep. o____O I've had plenty of dreams about video games, or influenced by video games, but the most memorable by far came to me when I was first playing through The Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of Time. I was stuck in the mother ******** water temple. My brother and I spent days wandering around in there, lost, missing one last key that we needed to progress and get to the boss. I went to bed after playing one night and all of my dreams took place in the water temple. After many hours, I dreamt of going down the elevator inside the centre column thing, and caught a glimpse of a hole below where it lands. I jumped off the elevator to fall down there and check it out, and that's when I woke up. I went downstairs and started up the game to try it, and found that there is indeed another area down there, and when you defeat the clam and spiky ball monsters, a chest drops down with the final key. I also get eye strain sometimes. No reports of headaches.
