I don't think there is a single person who could disagree with me in saying Axel Rudi Pell is one of the best Traditional Heavy Metal bands of our era. Despite Pell himself sometimes trying (and failing) to be like Yngwie Malmsteen, he writes some terrific music and most importantly, some KILLER riffs. Each of the most famous eras of the band (Jeff Scott Soto and Johnny Gioeli) are good in their own ways, and as far as I'm concerned they're one of the most consistent Traditional Heavy/Power Metal bands out there, even with the revolving door lineup.
