i played a clarinet/trumpet duet with piano accompaniment (an original piece that i wrote) and got a 1.
i played with a sax quartet (study in contrasts, by sammy nestico) and got a 1+ which is surprising..because i thought that was going to be one of the worst out of the groups i was in
i played in a woodwind quintet (Sloth and Envy, from the seven deadly sins, by Moses Bastian[i think that's how his last name is spelled]) we got a 1- . . . i hate to point fingers but i think that might have been our oboe players fault neutral she's a clarinetist and only started oboe a few months ago.
i played in a guitar quartet (sicut locutus est, by bach) we got a 1- which is understandable because my friend and i only started guitar this year...and we were the only ones who didn't need to use tabs.

1 & outstanding clarinet soloist award - V. Fughetta by Gerald Finzi, from the concerto Five Bagatelles. It was a class one clarinet solo. I wish I could have tried something a little harder, but my teacher didn't give me this one until a month before the contest, so I didn't have time to move on to another one. (Apparently it's one of the pieces for the grade 8 ABRSM exam also? Just found that out.) 1 - Anitra's Dance by Edvard Grieg. It was a class one mixed clarinet quartet. 1 & outstanding woodwind ensemble award - Polonaise and Passepieds by Georg Telemann. It was a class two mixed clarinet choir. (Every clarinet in the band was in it, so we had to do an easier song.) (There isn't such a thing as a 1+ here. The outstanding ___ awards are only given to one player/group out of each category. Ex: One outstanding flute soloist, one outstanding outstanding small woodwind ensemble, etc.)
EDIT: Oh, I also did it for piano in another solo & ensemble contest. I got a 1 and was nominated for outstanding soloist. I played Lady Allison's Minuet. I had only played for about two months then, though.

Hmm, lemme think. In Eighth Grade, I forget what I played, but it was a grade 3/4, and I got a 39/50? Something like that. That same year, I played a 3/4 trio, we got like, a 37/50. Red-Silver for both. In Freshman Year, I played a bassoon duet, grade 3/4, and got 40/50. Red-Silver. Sophomore year, I played a bassoon solo, grade 3/4, received a 48/50, and a blue-silver. I played a bassoon duet again, also a grade 3/4, and got a 49/50, blue-silvers all around. This past year, I played the third movement of Mozart's bassoon concerto in B-flat, my first grade 5, and received a 44/50, red-gold. I also couldn't pass up the bassoon trio, and played a grade 3/4, receiving a 48/50, and blue-silvers all around. I also played a woodwind trio, grade 5/6, and we got 40/50, red-golds all around.
I'm starting to dislike S/E very much now.
