xxxx » » » Adara Williamsx❤ ✖✖✖ The Non-Bitchy Popular GirlThe rain is fallin' on my window pane But we are hidin' in a safer place Under the covers stayin' safe and warm Six o'clock and right on the dot Tik Tok by Kesha echohed through the house a hand complete with green fingernails and a small silver ring that never left its place on her right hand reached up and smashed the off button on her iHome with a small groan. After contemplating it for a moment, the blonde girl decided to give another groan and go back to sleep. That didn't work either. Five minutes later her dad walked in, switching on the light in her room, yelling at her to get up. It seemed the whole world was just out to make sure she didn't get enough sleep... Adara opened her eyes and rolled out of bed giving her father a little glare. She missed camp already. Sure she loved her dad but she didn't have to get up at six to go to school. Plus, Ponder was so boring! At least at Camp she got to do fun stuff with her friends like Pegasus riding. There wasn't any thing magical in Ponder. Adara went through her morning ritual fairly quickly. She could get ready faster than any girl in the state, of course she kind of cheated. Her mother had given her an enchanted mirror that took the reflection of the person, instantly made he or she beautiful, and then that person reflected their image. So all it took was a quick shower, she brushed her teeth and then looked into the small hand mirror she kept in her bedside table and she was ready for school. Then she got together her outfit, a fairly simple one. Jeans tucked into uggs and a green t-shirt.
Adara grabbed her back pack from the small bench by her door and walked out into the hall and down the stairs. In the kitchen she saw her father eating breakfast with her step mom. Adara gave her a half smile. Her step mom was okay, wasn't too mean, wasn't that nice either. "Alright Daddy, I'm leaving." she told her dad as she kissed him on the cheek. "Okay sweety, have a nice day." he told her with a smile. The daughter of Aphrodite smiled back at her dad, she could understand why Aphrodite had fallen for him. He was very handsome. Of course Adara didn't think of her dad like that but it was a simple fact.
Adara left the kitchen and grabbed the keys on a hook next to the door. They went to an old red pick up truck that had belonged to her dads and now belonged to her. It was old but still functioning. It didn't take her very long to get to school, just five minute. There was still twenty more minutes til school started so she parked and hopped out, walking over to her two friends Rachel and Brittany who were whispering excitedly to each other. The blonde smiled and sat down across from them, "Whats up?" Brittany smiled and beckoned Adara closer. "Theres a new kid at school!' she told Adara, "I hear he's pretty cute too." Adara just laughed and rolled her eyes. She wasn't exactly allowed to comment on other guys, she was pretty much reserved to Michael, the school's star football player. Any guy who so much as blinked at Adara had to answer to him.You give me feelings that I adore xxxxx xxxxx

W E L L . I F . Y O U . G I V E . U P Y O U . D E S E R V E . W H A T . Y O U . G E TWith a set of squared shoulders, Lourne stepped off his bike. At the school an hour early to register. He turned down the kickstand and pulled the key from the ignition. No helmet, just a sleek pair of opaque black Oakley's shielding his eyes from the bright sun. He had a smooth smile, framed by a dash of stubble on his chin and jawbone. As he walked, he slipped one arm free of his backpack and unzipped the front of his leather jacket. He nodded at two jittery looking girls as he walked in the building.
He flashed a dazzling smile at the desk clerk as he collected his papers for registration. Ponder, Texas, the school population could barely touch 300, his mother would never think to look for him here. He took nearly fifteen minutes to finish his paperwork and the secretary ushered him into the counselor's office to choose his courses.
The counselor smiled at Lourne, asking him to sit as they started to shuffle through credit requirements and the classes he would need. By the end of it, Lourne was in Calculus, English 4, Government, Physics, and Wood Shop, with two off periods in the eight period day. School wasn't going to start for another fifteen minutes by this point. Thanking the counselor for her help, Lourne showed himself out and set out to find his first class.
Stepping outside the administration building, he breathed in the sweet autumn air. He nudged his sunglasses up his nose, being careful to hide his gaze. He flashed the girls small smiles, careful for their boyfriends, why start something now? Though Lourne was quite fond of causing chaos for mortals. He figured he could get through his first day of classes before he started though. He approached the high school and shouldered his bag as he walked across the lawn. He allowed his eyes to linger on a blond with the two girls from before, she was definitely a demi-god. That's when he ducked into the building to go to first hour Calculus. L E T S . B E . M O R E . Tall, broad shoulders, side swept brown hair with a leather jacket and sunglasses. There was only one word. This guy was hot. She blushed slightly as she turned back to her friends. "Wow... yep, uh he's pretty cute." she stammered. "Cute?! He's like a god!" Rachel sighed. That made Adara smile a bit, "Nah, not quite a god..." Adara had visited Olympus once before, she knew what gods looked like. The hot new guy was trhough the halls, she could see him trhough the window. "We have first block together..." she whispered to her friends. She stared at the back of Lourne's head until it disappeared behind a door and then turned back to her friends who were both staring at her with raised eyebrows, "Adara you don't like this guy... do you?" Brittany questioned her. All she could so was shake her head, she didn't like this guy. Sure, he was cool, but considering where she lived anyone on a motorcycle was considered cool. Besides, she didn't want to get the poor guy killed. Sure he looked pretty bad a** but Michael was ripped. He would tear the poor guy apart.
Just then she heared footsteps coming up from behind her and two large arms wrapped around her from behind, "Hey there Adara..." Michael said with a smirk, "You and me, tonight, college creek." he murmured, ignoring the giggles coming from Rachel and Brittany. Adara smiled, her pink lips curling upward just slightly, "I've told you Michael, I can't do anything on Monday nights." she said firmly. "I baby sit, remember?" Michael groaned softly, kissing her neck. "Oh come on baby, I've missed you, you were away all summer. I need some lovin'." he told her, his hands trailing down to her waist. This was as far as she'd let it go. She stepped forward and pushed one hand out on his muscled chest. "No Michael." she told him, her green eyes returning the glare from his blue ones. "i'll see you two later..." she muttered to her friends before walking off into the school, not looking back once. Michael just glared at the back of her head, punching the wall. "b***h..." he growled as he stomped off.
Adara walked into the Calculus classroom, cursing her bad luck as she noticed the new guy was the only other one in the room. Adara refused to make eye contact with him and took her seat, which was, thankfully, not next to him. She was already having enough boy troubles without him in her life. You give me feelings that I adore xxxxx xxxxx

Lourne let his eyes dance over the back of her head, what he'd give to see just how blond her hair was. The filter of his sunglasses protect those around him, but it also makes it difficult to just simply live. This was his mother's curse, not his, he didn't see it as fair.
He smiled to himself as other students filtered into the room, the teacher sat at his desk and started to take roll as the bell rang. Then he stood and began to tell the students they would need to go to the book room on their own time and pick up one of his text books and that they would require a graphing calculator as well. He the jumped right into a lesson about trig functions. Lourne tuned him out quickly.
The fifty minutes passed too quickly, before he knew it the bell had rung and students were standing and gathering their books. Lourne pulled his bag over his shoulder and checked his schedule, Government, then Wood Shop, then English 4. And then he was off early. Wood Shop would be two hours though, but that didn't bother Lourne. He got to leave campus when everyone else was going into lunch. As he left the room, he stole another glance at the blond, she was definitely going to be running through his head tonight. She was a beauty. He cast her a daring smile as he left the room and entered the loose crowd in the hallway. L E T S . B E . M O R E . T H A N . T H I S Lourne Kaine Eighteen . Senior Bad Boy . Outgoing . Single

She didn't want to risk the chance that she might catch a glimpse of that guy. There was something strange about him. He gave her a weird feeling. She could feel his eyes on the back of her neck, she could feel whenever those eyes looked at her. Could he be a halfblood? she thought. No... way too old for me to not know him. So then what was he?! Adara gave a frustrated little growl and pushed those thoughts aside. She was probably just being overly cautious. He was probably just some hot mortal. Even still, she kept her eyes glued to her paper and calculator mindless working on the math problems. And she hated math. It was her least favorite subject. She'd almost failed Geometry. Well, she'd wound up with a B in the class but that wasn't the point. Needless to say she thanked the gods when the bell finally rang. Adara packed up her things into her back and stood up, but of course there he was. Their eyes met for a moment and a chill went down her spine. What was behind those sunglasses? Lourne gave her a dazzling smile that nearly knocked her back into her seat. He has nice teeth... was the only thing she could think. You look like an idiot Adara do something! With great effort Adara forced herself to nod and wave a little at Lourne. Then, she grabbed her bag and hurried away down the hall to the Auditorium for Drama.
------ Time Skip
She could do it. She just had to get through one more block... The choir room was just down the hall from her English class so she was the first one in. She just had to get through one more class without Lourne and she wouldn't have to see him again, and then she could go and request a schedule change. She'd just move around her free blocks or something. Adara sat listening to her iPod (Halo by Beyonce, one of her favorite half sisters) her English teacher, Mrs Butchello, was pretty cool about stuff like that and let them listen to music quietly for a couple minutes. You give me feelings that I adore xxxxx xxxxx

 W E L L . I F . Y O U . G I V E . U P Y O U . D E S E R V E . W H A T . Y O U . G E TDusting some remnants of sawdust off his dark jeans, Lourne walked through the door of his last class, English 4 with Mrs. Butchello. He didn't scan the room as he crossed the front and spoke to her. She told him there was a couple free seats in the second row and that most students were here. He thanked her with a smile and turned to the room, there she was again.
He had talked to one of his fellow Wood Shop classmates and found out her name was Adara and that she had an a*****e for a boyfriend, that made Lourne want to get in with her even more. She sat front row, he chose a seat back and to the left of her. He flashed her another smile as he passed her desk and sat in his seat. No one sat in front of him, no one to the right of him.
Mrs. Butchello stood as the bell rang and began to speak. "Good afternoon, students. Look at the person next to you, meet your partner in every project until the year is out." She smiled and began to point to students who didn't have someone next to them and pair them up. She got to Lourne and Adara, "You two will be partners. The two diagonal will be partners since neither are here." Lourne had to stop the smile from playing his lips, how perfect, they were partners for the whole year.
"Okay, class. Our first unit is Greek Mythology!" She sounded somewhat excited to teach it, "We'll start with the twelve Olympians." She began to write them all up on the chalkboard, "They came into power by overthrowing their father, Cronus, a titan who had ruled Olympus beforehand. Zeus, the current king of the gods, cut him into little pieces and threw him into Tartarus. That wouldn't have been at all possible without the help of Zeus's mother, Rhea, who replaced her newborn son with a stone for Cronus to eat. Then the titans fell and the gods rose to Olympus." She started to draw a family tree somewhat. She continued to name off each god or goddesses title was and their Roman names as well. Then she turned back to the class and smiled, "We'll start with myths about specific gods and goddess. And my favorite, Athena. Does anyone know any myths about the goddess of wisdom and battle strategy?"
Lourne raised his hand. Mrs. Butchello nodded at him. He spoke as he lowered it, "The story of Arachne. She was an amazing weaver and people told her she must have practiced with Athena herself, the patron goddess of weaving. Arachne, being an arrogant woman of Lydia, claimed that Athena herself could not do better. Athena disguised herself as an old woman and warned Arachne, but she did listen and challenged the Goddess to a contest. As they wove, Athena became angered that Arachne was doing so well and placed her hand on her forehead and filled her with guilt. Arachne could not sustain it and hung herself. Athena, not being a gold goddess, sprinkled her body with the juices of an aconite and brought her back to life as a spider. From then on, Arachne and her descendants were to be stuck forever spinning their webs." He smiled as Mrs. Butchello wrote Arachne under Athena's name.
"Very good, Lourne. Anyone else?" She looked around the room expectantly. L E T S . B E . M O R E . T H A N . T H I S Lourne Kaine Eighteen . Senior Bad Boy . Outgoing . Single

xxxx » » » Adara Williamsx❤ ✖✖✖ The Non-Bitchy Popular GirlThe rain is fallin' on my window pane But we are hidin' in a safer place Under the covers stayin' safe and warm Of course. Of course! Of ******** course! She began and ended her day with the mysterious Sunglasses wearing motorcycle riding bad boy. On top of that, they were assigned to be partners for every project they'd have for the year. It seemed the gods were determined to keep them together. Adara looked over her shoulder at Lourne he was smiling at her she just nodded slightly and looked back up to the teacher. Who started talking about the Greek Gods, well at least she'd have an easy first couple of weeks. Adara tapped the pause button on her iPod and put her head in her hands, watching as Mrs. Butchello mapped out a family tree of the gods. She scribbled the family tree on a piece of paper quickly to make it look like she was taking note. After a while she started mapping in other people like heroes. She even made a little branch off of Aphrodite and put her initials there with a small smile. She was incredibly proud to be a daughter of Aphrodite.
Mrs. Butchello started talking about Athena and asked waht the class already knew about her. Of course Mr. Mysterious Lourne raised his hand and told the class about Arachne. When he was finished Mrs. Butchello asked, "Anyone else?" and so Adara raised her hand, not about to be shown up on Greek Mythology. It was her life, literally. "There was Medusa." she said when called on. Mrs. Butchello nodded, "And what was the legend of Medusa?" she asked. "Well, she was a beautiful mortal woman and caught the attention of Poseidon, the god of the sea. And they became lovers. Then, one night Athena caught Poseidon and Medusa together in her sacred temple and she turned Medusa into a monster, her soul becoming twisted and ugly. So, whenever someone looked into her eyes, whcih are the windows to ones soul, they would turn to stone and she was shunned from society for being a monster."You give me feelings that I adore xxxxx xxxxx

 W E L L . I F . Y O U . G I V E . U P Y O U . D E S E R V E . W H A T . Y O U . G E T'Damn, she knows her stuff.'
"Maybe it wasn't Medusa's fault. Maybe Poseidon had the idea to go to Athena's temple. He has reason enough to want to piss her off, seeing as how he wanted to be patron god of Athens. Why should Medusa be punished for a vindictive god's actions? Wouldn't be the first time Poseidon, or any of the gods, put mortals in danger to get what they wanted." Lourne's voice was flat, almost serious. This was his mom she just dissed, the only person who could talk s**t about his mom was him, not some pretty girl from the middle of nowhere.
"And maybe Medusa isn't really a monster." he let his gaze move to the teacher, who he could identify as a half blood. Probably an Athena girl since she was fond of the goddess. "She didn't have a choice for it, she's no monster if she didn't bring it upon herself."
Mrs. Butchello held up her hands before Adara could bring up a rebuttal. I think that's enough for today." She smiled knowingly at the two. "Now, for the last fifteen minutes of class, you and your partner are going to work on writing your own myth. Think about heros and monsters and how it all ties together. Remember, it needs to either have a moral or explain why something came into being." And then she released the class to work and students began to talk about their papers.
Adara turned in her seat, casting Lourne an annoyed look. Some nerve to challenge her, how would he know anything about something he didn't live daily? "Move up a seat."
He scoffed, "You move back a seat."
"I'm not moving."
Lourne grumbled and stood as he moved to the seat directly next to Adara. She was prettier up close, too pretty. She was a half blood and now he could tell she was a daughter of Aphrodite. "Happy now?" He smiled again, this time to impress. "What do you want to write about?" L E T S . B E . M O R E . T H A N . T H I S Lourne Kaine Eighteen . Senior Bad Boy . Outgoing . Single

She did a quick sketch of a beautiful girl in a simple dress. One might say it looked similar to her. She started to explain her myth to Lourne, this was their myth and she wouldnt take no for an answer. "Our myth starts out with a handsome young man who lived on a southern greek island. He was a strong man who raised cattle on his family's farm. He would take his cattle out every day and to pass the time while they grazed, he would sing. This caught the attention of Aphrodite, the beautiful goddess of Love, and she fell in love with the man. The two were happy together and eventually they had a daughter. She was the most beautiful girl on the whole island and she had many suitors. One man named Mikolas came to her, he was a strong man, and she was sure to be taken care of by him. Her father smiled at the union and urged her daughter to accept. But, a week before they were to be wed, a strange warrior arrived at the island. His name was Lander and he travelled around Greece helping villagers by hunting wolves and such. He was also very handsome and the girl fell in love with him, for he was handsome, strong, and adventerous. And the night before the wedding, Lander took the girl to his bed and they spent the night together. But, Mikalos found out and put two poisonous snakes in the bed for revenge and they died in each others arms..."
Adara finished the story as she completed her drawing. It was the beautiful girl in the white dress, only now, there was a snake around her neck and she had been bitten on the heart. Little did Lourne know though, that Adara had just told Lourne her life story, and also gave him a warning. Stay away, or "Mikolas" would get his revenge. You give me feelings that I adore xxxxx xxxxx

"I-I mean, my name is Adara. I'm not the girl of the legend. That'd just be weird." Adara forced a laugh, "I'm no demi-god. The girl... her name is Selena." It was her middle name, Adara Selena Williams. She'd been named after one of Aphrodite's favorite daughters. (Yeah i know percy never happened but i just love Selena Beauregarde too much) Adara scowled though and looked up to meet Lourne's sunglasses hiding those eyes. "Maybe the girl was happy with her life and Lander shouldn't have come to her island and tried to get in her business." she shot back. Then, the bell rang and Adara was saved. Adara grabbed her picture and the myth she had jotted down and walked up to Mrs. Butchello. Mrs. Butchello smiled and took the paper, "Very beautiful Adara. But next time let your Warrior have some input too. You're in groups for a reason." Mrs. Butchello gave Adara a knowing smile and leaned over to whisper to her, "Watch your back with him... I don't know what exactly... but hes from our world." Adara nodded to her teacher, "I figured."
Adara slipped her notes in her bag and left the class and down the hall, passing Rachel in the hall and saying a quick good bye to her. Her friends didn't get to leave early like she did. Adara left the building and took her keys out of her pocket, taking the short walk to her truck in a few long quick strides. She unlocked the door and glared slightly at the motorcycle nearby as if it were just as bad as the owner. Then, she put the keys in the ignition and turned them. Nothing. She turned them again yet again it didnt work. "********!" she yelled, slamming the wheel. "This is the third time this month!" she growled. You give me feelings that I adore xxxxx xxxxx

Then she glanced down at her watch, although she already knew what she'd find. School wouldn't get out for a couple hours, and yeah she could walk home but it'd take a while, fifteen minutes at the least and it was a pretty hot afternoon. Then again... did she really want to get on a motorcycle with this guy? It wasn't that she was scared, she'd been on motorcycles plenty of times before. Her camp crush last year had had one, it was who was driving it that made her cautious. But... she had to get home if she wanted any time to herself before babysitting. "Fine..." she growled through gritted teeth. Adara grabbed her bag and opened her car door, forcing Lourne to step back. "Straight there and then you go. Okay? I've got stuff to do..." she muttered. Lourne just smirked, "Aw, you don't put out on the first date? Not even a goodnight kiss?"
The blonde girl scoffed glancing at Lourne, "Maybe next time." Lourne just shrugged, "Can't blame me for tryin." Then, walking over to the Kawasaki he slung his backpack over the handlebar and threw his leg over the side and put the key in the ignition. The blonde sighed, should couldn't believe she was doing this. But, yet there she went, putting her leg over the motorcycle behind him, just barely holding onto Lourne's hips. Lourne reved the engine a bit, calling out to her. "You're gonna fall off!" with a laugh and then he took off. Adara couldn't help but let out a little yelp as she lurched backwards and had to throw her arms tightly around the waist of the son of Medusa who grinned evily as he left the school parking lot.You give me feelings that I adore xxxxx xxxxx

She wasn't really listening. She'd heard from a friend that he'd once spent the whole class talking about the gazebo he'd built. Now she was just drawing in her sketchpad. She drew Selena, the girl from her myth riding on the back of a black horse, sitting behind a man. You couldn't see his face in the drawing, but he was wearing traditional greek leather armor. Just then Lourne walked into the classroom and she snapped her sketchpad shut, blushing slightly. Then, she started blushing for blushing! Why was she blushing?! She was glad to see him though... She needed a ride home today. "Look who decided to show up." she whispered to him as he walked by with a small smirk. That was all that happened between the two of them until after the bell rang.
Adara gathered up her things and poured them into her bag, slinging it over one shoulder. She walked out and immediately felt an arm grab her around the wait. She already knew who it was, "Hey baby, I missed you last night." he murmured in her ear, kissing her kneck, hands trailing down to her hips. Adara blushed and giggled, kissing his jaw, "Michael not here!" she whined. Michael just smiled and kissed her neck harder. "You don't have to babysit tonight and theres gonna be a party at College Creek, your cars gonna be fixed by this afternoon right?" Adara nodded. "Good, you and I, we'll go together." Adara sighed, she'd already blown him off once... "Okay, okay." she sighed again. This made Michael happy, and he showed it, sucking slightly on her neck. Adara blushed furiously, eyes closed. Then, when she opened them. "Lande- I mean uh, Lourne! H-Hi..." she said, pushing away from Michael. "I'll see you in English." she told Lourne. Then, she stood up on her tiptoes and kissed Michael's cheek, "I'll see you tonight." then she hurried off down the hall, blushing even more. She'd almost called Lourne Lander, the warrior from her myth. She hoped he didn't notice. Behind her, Michael glared furiously at Lourne. "Punk." he growled, walking off he purposely knocked into Lourne with his shoulder. You give me feelings that I adore xxxxx xxxxx
